Truly a beautiful video! Congratulations Lorirocks and Team France! It practically covers the whole of Auvergne, touching centers such as Roanne and Saint-Etienne. Chateaucreux station has a complex history, as it was reinforced, due to the mines on which the town rests. A beautiful station as well as the Gier valley. The straight journey in the Loire valley is a bit boring, especially due to the slowness. Great video though as always.

Found this route you chose to film very enjoyable to ride along with you on because it wasn't twisty curve route through a out of the way mountainy area just to view scenic vista but this route was a normal rail route that is the economic lifeblood for having a profitable rail industry that makes a country thrive and compete successfully.

Faut dire que le canton est super long... Autre question, pourquoi ce freinage prononcé en gare de Roanne ou autour, je n'ai rien vu dans la signalisation... merci pour vos retours !

SVP faites le trajet St-Étienne Le Puy-en-Velay par Firminy, je fesais ce trajet dans les années 90, dans mes souvenirs les paysages étaient superbes (La Loire)

I enjoyed this video except for some of the quality, there was quite a lot of pixalating at times which spoilt the sharpness of the video, not sure if it was the camera or something to do with you tube.

You dated this 6.2023 but the leaves, the flowers on the shrubs and the bright green of the flora suggest late April to early May, unless this region is colder than the rest of Southern France or they had a very cold Spring.

I was curious about this and googled it. It's not a hybrid, it's a diesel-electric. There is no pantograph for overhead wire. The diesel drives a generator which supplies power to the electric motors that turn the wheels.
Question from England... I didn't hear any cab noises.... Bells , pings or buzzers... Nor any driver vigilance noises.... I assume you use a different system in France?

Is Lapalisse - Saint-Prix a former station? It has current station name signs on both the station building and the opposite platform.
