  • Hello Family!
Boss time, and this big red demon lord is ready to exact some revenge with Venjix by his side! This has been an awesome session, learning a lot about the rangers I'm playing as and how they interact with each other. Also, seeing the power of the Forever Red Pack along with the Arsenal cards, definitly will be using the Arsenal cards in future games! So sit back and relax as I finish up my custom Forever Red Session for Power Rangers Heroes of the Grid!

    My Forever Red Scenario:
Can be done either Solo or with any number of Rangers, so long as they are all red. Start off by constructing your decks using the Forever Red cards. ALL ZORDS are Red Ranger Zords. You will make the standard 5 Zord then Megazord deck, constructed with the zords of your rangers and then filling in the rest with Red zords. Your Megazord can be whatever you want. Below the Megazord, put 3-4 random Red Zords, as you can continue earning them after the Megazord has been unlocked.
For the enemies, you need Venjix and then any 2 Monsters/Nemesis enemies and a Boss. Try to keep within the “red” theme, but really any would do.
In regards to Foot Soldiers, I pulled together cads that all had a red theme to them: “red” in title, red color tint, or featured a red Ranger in the art. I then put them all into the same colored sleeve so I can shuffle them together to form a deck of mixed minions. If you do not want to do this, then a normal set up with any 2 foot soldiers and their locations works. Battling Foot Soldiers is the same as the base game.
Battling the Monsters and Boss is different. The cards will be laid out in a 3x3 grid. Top row of 3 cards come from the Monster, second row of 3 are from Venjix, and the last row are 3 Foot Soldier cards. To defeat the Monster, you have to beat 3 of their cards, and at least 1 Venjix card. At the end of the fight, regards of how many of Venjix's cards you beat, he runs away. If you haven't beaten at least 3 of the Mounter cards, you need to do that. Every Venjix card defeated is worth 2 EXP, and beating the Monster is an instant Level up. For the Boss, it's the same set-up, but you need to beat 4 Boss cards and ALL of Venjix's cards to win.
When a Venjix card is beaten, it is removed from the deck for the remainder of the game. Defeating all of his cards is the only way to beat him for good! Again, all Venjix cards are worth 2 EXP.

Just found your channel & I'm working my way through playthroughs. So happy someone is supporting this game on youtube!
Where did you get the board you do combat on? I think in a really early vid you said it was a promo, but I can't find it anywhere.
Keep up the great work! Would love to see a RPM themed playthrough one day.

Awesome! Welcome aboard, so glad you’re enjoying my dive into the world of Heroes of the Grid! 😁 I’d love to hear your thoughts and about your own plays!
As far as the board I do combat on: that one is actually in the Rise of the Psychos big box. It’s supposed to be used for Master Mind mode, but worked well going up against the enemies.
My power beard here is part of the Power Board/Panic Token upgrade pack that you can find on the renegade website. And yes, RPM is on the list and will be covered as soon as I can!

He forgot Venjix’s passive ability in the first boss battle 24:50

Argh, the shield reduction! Yup, would have definitely altered the way I spread that damage from Zedd. Pretty sure I still would have been able to pull off that big attack, though I probably would have lost all 3 in the fight 😅 Good catch! Thank you!

Just found your channel. Heroes of the Grid is my favorite game and I love watching playthroughs. This one was really fun because I always use the Mastermind board in my games to make villain battles more difficult. Inventing fun scenarios really helps keep things interesting so I loved watching what you came up with here. I might try out something like it myself. The recurring villain in Venjix was especially clever. Maybe try it again with a different recurring baddie? That sounds really fun.
While I do love the Forever Red set (especially in combination with my favorite Red Lauren) I really hope you do a game with my favorite Power Ranger ever: the leader of the Dino Charge Rangers, Kendall Morgan. She is insanely strong if you play her right. I also saw your breakdown video for her so you should know that Rapid Blast DOES ignore Guard. Check the rulebook that came with Kendall. It's in there (weirdly under the rulings for Karone's Know Your Enemy). She does her full damage to any cards of your choice. Give her some attack boosts and mow down three Boss cards at once!

YAY! Welcome to family! So glad you enjoyed this session, got a whole bunch of them as well as trying to do a new one each month! They are not all scenario based, but I do like to mix things up for each play through, got to keep it interesting!
I DO want to have Kendall in a game at some point. You're correct, she is a very good ranger, and I stand by that her Plesio MegaZord is the best solo mode MegaZord in the game. I just got to figure out some good pairings for her. Who do you usually play her alongside?

@@homegamerdad Sorry it took me a minute to reply! Well one nice thing is that I never play with a full five Rangers so I have some floating Zords. Obviously any Red Ranger Zord that adds dice is a must to have to boost Rapid Blast, especially Red Dragon Thunderzord to utilize dead cards in hand. I like playing her with Lauren - she can give Kendall rerolls through Discipline and BullZord gives both energy and attack power. I also like playing her with Karone and using the White Tigerzord as a floating Zord. Kendall plays Perfect Planning to add three dice. Then use Tigerzord to play a zero cost card. Karone uses Lights of Orion to let Kendall immediately Rapid Blast three cards for FREE. 2 base + 3 Perfect Planning + 3 Red Dragon + Discipline for rerolls all in the first Ranger turn is insane. I usually do a four player game with Santa as the last Ranger to use Better Watch Out for more attack boosts for Kendall (and give him the Red Dragon Thunderzord just because). However the three ladies should do fine on their own!
