True solo mode is done using only 1 bot. That I play using the combiners. Other plays, I’ll play “2-player-2-handed” so effectively it’s me playing two separate characters. Glad you enjoyed!!

Sorry for the delayed response to this, had to be sure. Yes, they do fit, but the bag fills up faster with all the cards sleeved. As is I need to find an alternate solution for my Autobots & Decepticon Robot cards (along with a bigger box in general) because with all the expansions, everything is starting to take up a LOT more space 😳

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed! I love the combiners, they add a great new way to play the characters plus their abilities are a lot of fun to use. Hope to see more in the future! To your first point: yeah, absolutely 100% agree that I used those abilities when I shouldn’t have. I even kept telling myself over & over again to NOT use Team powers when in Superion mode, but they snuck through anyway 😅 I think o caught 1 in editing, but sure there was more. I feel that’s a common rule others get wrong when playing the combiners. For the other: totally forgot about the energon limit. I’ve spent so much time reading through the core rulebook, I forgot WoC changed a bunch of things. The “vp doesn’t give energon” rule stuck with me, but now I need to remember they put a cap on it. I should have explained that better, but it’s not really a passive. If a card or character has FLIGHT, it only grants that type of movement to the total movement that card produces. For example: the Aerialbot team has a Move 1 with Flight, which grants only 1 space of flight movement. Skydive gives an additional diagonal movement through his Flight and move +1. Superion does NOT have Flight, so his 1 Move can only be orthogonal (which I mess up once in the video).

I’m lucky (for now 😑) to not have dove into the FFG card games, though they are very tempting. Arkham Horror has been on my Want List for while now. Out of the 4 IPs Renegade has for deck builders, I would rank them GI Joe best, then transformers, then My little pony (mind you I don’t have this one, but see a LOT of positive about it), and finally Power Rangers. I’m just not a fan of how they did the solo mode. It’s okay, but not something I’m drawn to. The Joe’s game is absolutely way more accessible. The transformers game, while great, does take a LOT of set up, especially if you have multiple expansions/core boxes. Hope you find a good balance with everything and enjoy these amazing games!

It is VERY similar to Contra, except a lot more forgiving. Switching between the joes is a key strategy and I like the upgrade system for each of them.

They are not all scenario based, but I do like to mix things up for each play through, got to keep it interesting! I DO want to have Kendall in a game at some point. You're correct, she is a very good ranger, and I stand by that her Plesio MegaZord is the best solo mode MegaZord in the game. I just got to figure out some good pairings for her. Who do you usually play her alongside?

@@homegamerdad Sorry it took me a minute to reply! Well one nice thing is that I never play with a full five Rangers so I have some floating Zords. Obviously any Red Ranger Zord that adds dice is a must to have to boost Rapid Blast, especially Red Dragon Thunderzord to utilize dead cards in hand. I like playing her with Lauren - she can give Kendall rerolls through Discipline and BullZord gives both energy and attack power. I also like playing her with Karone and using the White Tigerzord as a floating Zord. Kendall plays Perfect Planning to add three dice. Then use Tigerzord to play a zero cost card. Karone uses Lights of Orion to let Kendall immediately Rapid Blast three cards for FREE. 2 base + 3 Perfect Planning + 3 Red Dragon + Discipline for rerolls all in the first Ranger turn is insane. I usually do a four player game with Santa as the last Ranger to use Better Watch Out for more attack boosts for Kendall (and give him the Red Dragon Thunderzord just because). However the three ladies should do fine on their own!

There’s a link to it on the Kickstarter campaign, and that seems to still be working. From what I can tell it’s still there, but that’s just me checking on my phone. I’ll have to see later if it all still works on laptop.

I'm pretty sure you are (it is a vehicle so why not), but I don't remember the official ruling. The BBG boards are great for answering questions like that, also helps to know I'm not the only one that had those questions.

Anubis is amazing, I’ve played him several times and enjoy all his cards and abilities. I actually wish I used him during my foot soldier focused game, but maybe next time. He’ll make a game debut, that’s for sure!

Being the first time I recorded a Final Girl session, there was a LOT I had to learn and remember as I did all the things. Overall it worked out pretty well, but yeah, things like what you said I’ve been a lot better at keeping track of and remembering while playing. Thank you!
