Upgrades to the starter decks at different budget levels would be super cool! Gives folks a nice pathway into the competitive scene, and teaches about brewing. Thanks for the great content!
the upgrade paths is a great call. I don't need it personally, but I like to help out newer players at my LGS with upgrading their starter decks, so having a more knowledgable voice to point them towards seems really helpful.
Hey NEW Lorcana player here! Would love a video on upgrades to starter decks or what upgrades to certain colors for all play styles. I personally like control decks or versatile decks that can both combo or be control based on whatever I want to do. Idk if that makes sense in lorcana terms. I’ve been learning lorcana for about a week now on my own, haven’t found a locals yet but it looks really fun and I’m excited to start.
Hypnotic deduction looks so good in a deck combined with, reveal top card (something happens), also you can put any 2 cards back on top not the one you draw which is great.
The reason I like "Tug-of-War" is because there really aren't many cards that deal damage outright, but there's a lot of cards that deal damage to already damaged characters. This is a 5 costed that has the chance to deal 3 damage to everything Evasive, and it makes the Robin Hood - Timely Contestant come out much earlier! I'm *really* looking forward to building a damage deck this set!! This is probably the set I am the most excited for tbh! 😁
@@blakehoward2804 I also wanna brew some damage based decks , I'm heading down the route of the cannon and getting hand empty for the Tiana and piglet.
It's hard to imagine ANY starter deck competing with this Ruby/Amethyst. It has so many evasive characters, and other decks just dont have the removal to deal with that.
The Lion King is one of my favorite Disney movies, and crazy Ed is a top 3 character in the movie despite not having much screen time. Can’t wait to drop him into a deck soon!
I really love kronk. When you shift him, being able to play two for one and there are loads of bodies playable for 5 that are staple in either steel or emerald
Retrosphere on RA bounce is really good its inkable a 1 cost and a turn 3 (ejem Diablo Ejem Sisu Ejem Flynn) removal it just slows the opponent enought to reach your high cost ink been testing a lot.
Got around 50 games in so far with an Emerald/Steel Damage deck and the new 5 drop Robin is pretty useful. The 9 drop has never seen play besides once and think it’s useless outside of playing giant tink, avalanche, or grab swords the same turn
Tug-of-war is good if you want to have your opponent to have damaged characters but not kill them a lot of cards benefit from characters being damaged so in that way it’s better than grab your swords if you are building around damaged characters for a big pay off
im looking forward to building a hyenas deck and buying four of the emerald steel starter deck one is the easiest ways for me to do that since none of the legendaries really excite me
what do you mean when you say there are two copys of bruni? and the other cards (edit) i think im dumb i think you're talking about there are two copys of it in the starter
Why are you so hostile. Of course the starter decks aren’t that great, they’re starter decks to get new players into the game or a cheap alternative for people to get some of the cards from the new set.
@@crazysquriel You are being hostile though. Assuming he’s being paid to hype up a product is lowkey weird. Lol also calling it trash is funny when the set 1 starter decks were inherently worse, the blue steel from set 2 is worse and both 3 and even 4 were worse than this one.
@@beardedcat9744 Obviously starter decks shouldn't be prebuilt meta, but they should still have a handful of actually playable cards, especially the foil single copies. If you want to actually play this game at even a semi-competitive level then these are literally a waste of your money. The best thing inside them is the pack you get for a chance at playable cards.

That's how me...and most others started. Got a starter deck.. ( I started with the 3 chapter 1 ones)... and slowly upgrade.
Yes please to this!

Please do upgrade video for the starter decks.
34:58 Snake and Pete combo is going to be amazing
For Pete referee, one would still be able to sing right? Since the ability affects “play action”/hard casting?

Please do a video on the upgrades you would do for these decks please, we just started playing and bought these two decks, that would be great

The emerald steel looks like An amazing deck out of box. Pingers will be the first deck I brew

Hypnotic deduction is basically a "Brainstorm" from magic the gathering which is a playable card. Who knows how good it is in lorcana
definitely deck upgrades at different budget levels
Upgrades would be a nice video for newer players and others to learn more about deck building and card choices
I'm a mtg commander player thought I would give lorcana a go I got the roaring guest list precon is it OK for a new player??
Great Video as always! Thanks

Would buying 2 of these decks and refining the numbers to be more focused be worth it?
Some love for the starter decks ❤
Wow how does Zazu beat a Horse (Pegasus)?
what do you mean when you say there are two copys of bruni? and the other cards (edit) i think im dumb i think you're talking about there are two copys of it in the starter
There are two Bruni cards in the deck. You can have up to 4 copies of a card in a deck.
damage counter decks is gonna be a thing.. tier1 deck in the near future.. Heard it here first!
Bruni on Library equals a draw 2 big stonks.
Earth giant with an exerted diablo on your board might be ok
Diablos effect is only on your opponents turn
Unfortunately, Diablo's ability only triggers on your opponent's turn, so you still won't draw.
@@LouisOBthat’s not unfortunate at all. Diablo is awful enough with what he does.
You need to watch wreck it Ralph bro good movie
Library plus follows = draw 2 cards
The emerald steel deck is way stronger than the red purple
first
Bro had to be paid to hype up these trash cards. Pete and Library the only playable cards out of both decks.
No paid promotion in this video 👊
