But the acting is so ridiculously bad, I can't really care about the costume.
Lol, now I've realized she got the dialogue wrong, she was supposed to say her skin was replaced with aloe and her blood with chlorophyll and she said the opposite.
Why? Chlorophyl is a pigment and lays inside the chloroplasts, which are structures found inside the cells of the upper layer of the leaves. Chlorophyll is not found in vessels, namely phloem and xylem. Chlorophyll is there to catch light. So it makes sense to have chlorophyll inside your skin. Moreover, aloe is a gel. So it makes sense to replace fluid with another fluid.
@@zhabo3963 But chlorophyll is not only a pigment but also an important factor in every plant's metabolism, which relates more to the hemoglobin in humans which gives the red coloring in blood, aloe is more like a nutritional reservoir and is not even present in all plants genres relating it to blood because is just a fluid is a mistake due to the existence of interstitial fluid in humans which could be a more reasonable relation.

The movie may not have gotten the best ratings because of some of the actors who played the characters, but I think Uma did a PHENOMENAL job playing Poison Ivy.

My personal opinion is that Uma Thuman and Chris O' Donnell were the only ones that worked in their characters.
Loved this movie as a teenager, when re-watched as an adult I realize it's actually bad, but I just love the campyness of Uma Thurman and the rest of the cast. Her Poison Ivy is iconic no matter what anyone says.
The campyness is similar to the 60s Batman with Adam West.
I said the same thing as a child I loved it but got older and realized poison Ivy was the only good thing about this movie

In all honesty I loved her as Poison Ivy. She was cheesy, but that's what they were going for. She still brought the sexy and brought the fierce. The way this scene was shot and the colors are fantastic too!

Catwoman was great and the whole "Batman could've become like either one of these at any time" message was great but the Penquin was super cheesy. Glad we have since gotten basically two live-action versions without that version. Given the time between 4 and Batman Begins, I wish we'd gotten that 4th film, a Batman 1989+Forever film could've been pretty great especially if any of the casting rumors (to closer to truth like Jack Nicolosons Joker being a psychological nightmare to batman from scarecrow gas) were ever true. Still want to see the director's cut of Batman Forever, even if they shoved all the deleted scenes from most releases back in it'd be like 10% less goofy.

Poison Ivy was probably the best part of the movie. Uma Thurman gave such a fun and memorable performance, as well as the costumes. It's also very impressive how Poison Ivy slowly became the main villain of the movie, manipulating Mr Freeze for her own plans.

Gotta say Uma Thurman did a good job in portraying not only Poison Ivy, but also Pamela. She made them feel like two completely different characters. I've seen only a few actresses successfully pull that off starting out as an ordinary type of woman, before turning into a sexy bombshell.

Poison Ivy did not always have plant powers. She was already a non-powered plant-themed mad scientist before receiving dominion over plants (this is actually reflected in the first few seasons of Batman: The Animated Series). It wouldn't be until the 90s that Poison Ivy's skin turned green and she developed superpowers thanks to Jason Woodrue, but he's nothing like in this trashy masterpiece of a movie.
Jason Woodrue is himself DC supervillain known as the Floronic Man, whose most famous role is that as an enemy of Swamp-Thing.
