Agreed, Poison Ivy should’ve been the fourth movie’s main villain. She should’ve been the main villain alone like Joker in the first movie, or accompanied by Scarecrow or Bane. Mr. Freeze’s inclusion was one of the first decisions that sent this movie to hell. If anything, Arnold Schwarzenegger should’ve played Bane and they could’ve made him a more dimensional character that Dr. Isley brainwashes into becoming her brain-dead zombie servant. What I don’t understand is when ivy and batgirl fight each other why doesn’t ivy just have her vines grab batgirl. I mean it’s poison ivys lair so that’s where she will be at her most strongest. Like if you fight someone who can control plants in a Forrest or garden you know your gonna get grabbed. Like fighting magneto in a junk yard where it’s full of metal you know you’re gonna struggle.

So instead of helping the emotionally, mentally, and physically damaged woman who has a good and relevant cause for her actions, batgirl kills her without a second thought about it. And little girls are supposed to look up to her. Idk I might be biased because I heavily support feminism and I just take to villains more, but Barbra, in this movie, should have been better thought out.
Gotta give props to the costume department here. It's a small detail, but a cool one. When Robin arrives, Poison Ivy's outfit has some form of sleeve that covers her palm along with a veil around her wrists, but after she pushes Robin into the water, she gets spikey wrist bands.
Same! It's such a fun and yet dominant line that showcases just how out of his depth batman is. Look at the smug look on his face. He thought he had her right where he wanted her only to have her vines grab him by his boots and then easily wrapped up. Silly boy 🤣🤭☺
When I was young I thought I was into Ivy and Batgirl but in reality I was just into Robin, also honestly Uma was the only one who took her role seriously
Not the point I know, but for some reason I still like the two looks they have going on here. Poison Ivy - excessive, extravagant, meticulous but fabulous, flawless make-up, out-there clothes and perfectly styled hair. Batgirl - mask and costume aside, going for the simple natural look (just a bit of lip make-up), somehow manages to not pale in comparison right next to Poison Ivy (which is hard to do - though it might just be because of the classic black look her outfit is going for)
The fight scene is meant to flow with the TONE of the film. That's why it's setup that way. Joel Schumacher was more ''style over substance'' but even ''style'' can be substance at times.
@@JIMANGRYFOOTCOMICS yeah no, that fight at least seemed rewarding. This fight literally has batman trapped by three vines while robin is failing to swim in a puddle. They are both completely helpless just so they can show bat girl
If you can get past the cheesy acting. She was hot, despite being tried to look like a drag queen and the bad acting she was still hot. Her dialogue lines are just too cheesy. She was probably following the directors instructions.
I’m gonna keep it real I love this movie. I loved it as a kid and I love it now. It’s so over the top and goofy I don’t get how more people don’t love it
I grew up watching this movie, going to the cinema and loving everything! Hate when everyone comes here and try to tell tou what is correct or wrong. Watching this right now reminds me of simpler times i guess and it fulls me with nostalgia lol. Look at that make up! The suits! The lines, the script and everything! It was meant to be this way as a piece of work under someones vision and i think it's brilliant!
One of the main things that I always bugged me the most and really doesn't seem to be acknowledged is that there is no conflict between Batgirl and Poison Ivy. They never met each other, and most likely didn't even know of each other till now. Yes Ivy is evil and Batgirl is good, but there's no real dramatic payoff at the end. And Alicia Silverstone taking out badass Uma Thurman, I don't think so. On a positive note, I still drool over Uma in that sexy red outfit.
Harley Quinn should've done the deed, given that she and Ivy have more connection thanks to TAS. Yes, they're both evil, but Harley is also more-or-less Ivy's last connection to humanity.
We need a new film with Poison Ivy to be honest. It’s such an intriguing character, and it’s a shame to see that her only live action version is this one, even if I will always love Huma Thurman
I agree. Ivy deserves to be in the new Robert Pattinson *Batman* movie series in the hopeful sequel. My immediate choices for whom to portray her are the following: *X.)* Julianne Hough *X.)* Ciara Hanna
I think there is only one person in the world who can be the perfect Poison Ivy other than Uma. His daughter, Maya Hawke. Seriously, I would love to see Maya play Ivy 😍 Also, Maya is 25 years old now and Poison Ivy is 27 and when Batman and Robin premiered Uma was 27 years old.
1:22-1:26 you’re out numbered! 2:11 now, that’s what I called a bat 🦇 fight! 3:01-3:03 right before man of steel from 2013. 3:16-3:21 🤣 3:23 how about using a lightsaber out of those vines?

Idk I might be biased because I heavily support feminism and I just take to villains more, but Barbra, in this movie, should have been better thought out.
How is Batgirl supposed to know all that?
If I were writing the movie, that'd be my ending.
3:44 Bruce, it's me, Barbara.
Wow! Thank you for pointing that out. I never would've guessed. That mask just covered your face way too much! 😂
Batman: Who are you?
Bar Girl: Bat Girl
Batman: *That's not political correct, how about Bat Person?*
This movie was ahead of it's time!
Bruh, Bat Person is TERRIBLE.
Gotta give props to the costume department here. It's a small detail, but a cool one. When Robin arrives, Poison Ivy's outfit has some form of sleeve that covers her palm along with a veil around her wrists, but after she pushes Robin into the water, she gets spikey wrist bands.
Can we talk about ivy's outfit 😍. It's super nice.
Yes!! Please!!
"Sorry.. my vines have a CRUSH on you!" I've always loved that part!'
Same! It's such a fun and yet dominant line that showcases just how out of his depth batman is. Look at the smug look on his face. He thought he had her right where he wanted her only to have her vines grab him by his boots and then easily wrapped up. Silly boy 🤣🤭☺
She's as fun as Orange. 🍊
When I was young I thought I was into Ivy and Batgirl but in reality I was just into Robin, also honestly Uma was the only one who took her role seriously
Yeah, she basically carried this movie 🎥 her and Arnold.
"Bad luck I'm afraid!" What a troll lol
The set was so majestic! Come on, it's 90ssss, for me it's still real gem ... this is what works back then and Robin is damn fine here
1:37
Batman: You're not the only one who can set a trap, Venus.
Poison Ivy: Sorry, my vines have a crush on you.
i thought batman said penis instead of venus lol
what else would you say n that situation ???😂
UGH! As if!!!
2:43 if only Ivy pressed the attack instead of talking, Batgirl could have ended up in the plant.
Uma thurman as poison ivy is just so beautiful!!!
Not the point I know, but for some reason I still like the two looks they have going on here.
Poison Ivy - excessive, extravagant, meticulous but fabulous, flawless make-up, out-there clothes and perfectly styled hair.
Batgirl - mask and costume aside, going for the simple natural look (just a bit of lip make-up), somehow manages to not pale in comparison right next to Poison Ivy (which is hard to do - though it might just be because of the classic black look her outfit is going for)
That has to be the most lifeless fight scene in superhero movie history
Kill Bill was the Poison Ivy we deserved
Batman vs bane -dark knight rises
The fight scene is meant to flow with the TONE of the film. That's why it's setup that way. Joel Schumacher was more ''style over substance'' but even ''style'' can be substance at times.
@@JIMANGRYFOOTCOMICS yeah no, that fight at least seemed rewarding.
This fight literally has batman trapped by three vines while robin is failing to swim in a puddle. They are both completely helpless just so they can show bat girl
I do wish there was more fighting with Batgirl and Ivy but still good.
Lol I love Uma just gloriously chewing up this scene 😂
If you can get past the cheesy acting. She was hot, despite being tried to look like a drag queen and the bad acting she was still hot. Her dialogue lines are just too cheesy. She was probably following the directors instructions.
"Sorry ........ My VINES have a CRUSH on you." ...........
I much prefer her outfit from her first scene at the party
Had all of the actors put the effort that Thurman clearly out into this film, it would have been a camp classic like Batman 1989.
So Robin is basically the Yamcha of this movie.
Poison Ivy: Curses! NOOOOOOO! 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Bat girl was whooping ivy's ass she was a beast.
2:30 They just rewinded the footage when Robin got his head out of the water 🤣
I’m gonna keep it real I love this movie. I loved it as a kid and I love it now. It’s so over the top and goofy I don’t get how more people don’t love it
Because people want a depressed and dark and edgy kinda Batman. They don’t accept goofy or campy Batman
I loved this movie
In the Batman animated series batgirl and poison ivy were best friends until she had the accident that turned her into poison ivy
Krystal Tomlin back in 1997 Harley Quinn wasn't well known, she was a relatively new character.
Yes, Poison Ivy in that red rose outfit is my favorite version of her.
Is this is a good movie? Absolutely not. Is it entertaining? Absolutely.
Love it! Back when you didn’t have to work out and just put on a rubber, muscle suit.... this flick is all sorts of glorious camp!
My immediate choices for whom to portray her are the following:
*X.)* Julianne Hough
*X.)* Ciara Hanna
I think Poison Ivy would be a cool anti-hero. I always thought she had a chance of redemption.
@@kryptonianpowersOlivia Cooke is the top choice for the team
I think there is only one person in the world who can be the perfect Poison Ivy other than Uma.
His daughter, Maya Hawke.
Seriously, I would love to see Maya play Ivy 😍
Also, Maya is 25 years old now and Poison Ivy is 27 and when Batman and Robin premiered Uma was 27 years old.
I love those eyes of deception at 1:03.
Gorgeous and hot
Ivy’s fashion in this film is so iconic I love it 😍 time to die little Robbin 😂
1:22-1:26 you’re out numbered! 2:11 now, that’s what I called a bat 🦇 fight! 3:01-3:03 right before man of steel from 2013. 3:16-3:21 🤣 3:23 how about using a lightsaber out of those vines?
Batman: I’m Batman, worlds greatest detective.
Batgirl: Bruce, it’s me! Barbara.
Batman: you won this time.
