So if you're too young to recall this, then yeah, George Clooney was the "Dr McDreamy" of his day and he and the show were BFD.
@King Solomon Oh, I assume this means you're not American? Ok. In the US, E/R was a HUGE deal in the 90's (it was to "drama" what Friends was to "comedy.") And since Clooney was the "hunky one" of the show, he became a riding star if the show. His "playboy" reputation only enhanced his media presence. At the time, as big as superhero movies were, there was a believe that they couldn't "sell" themselves and needed big star power to be hits. A handsome well-liked star (who in fact had proven himself "leading man material" in the successful From Dusk Till Dawn series) was thought to be just the ticket.

I think one of miss american
Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy carries the movie all the way to me.I love this movie cause of her!
And Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman carries Batman Returns all the way to me also.
I actually really enjoyed Batman & Robin. It felt like it watching an actual comic book story in live action. Every other superhero movie is enjoyable to me for their realism, but I like this one for its comic style pace.
That makes sense for you anakin your used to crappy writing
@@CHANN3L_NAME you're*
saaaaame
well i enjoyed this tho
@@CHANN3L_NAME To be fair George was responsible for the cringy dialogue in the prequel trilogy so the actors didn't really have much to work with. George Lucas's wife helped him a lot in this department with the OT, but they got divorced and so George didn't have anyone around to help out in this area anymore by the time he got around to the prequels, and the other people that were around him were all "yes" men.
Now THAT is an entrance.
The costumes, the camp, THE UMA THURMAN 😩😩 this movie is perfection 💖
@Darth Vader or I just enjoy the campiness of this movie and love Uma Thurman, and hate the over serious, violent, “heS A tOrTured SoUl” Batman movies that all men who live in their moms basements have come to love, even though that has nothing to do with the original Batman. Just because it’s more cheesy, campy and fun doesn’t meant it was even close to a bad movie which I know is an unpopular opinion. Also free the bat nipples I need them!!!
@CollectibleCollector Just say you have no taste and go.
I love too. ❤
This is the best scene in the whole movie 😂😂. The introduction to Poison Ivy was done well. The music, the cinematography and Uma Thurman looked good as Poison Ivy.
Am I the only one creasing over Robin swooning over the dust. Its Juust so amusing to watch. 😂
2:23 "You stared at my butt, didn't you?"
I'm guilty as hell
who didn't
Oh I did more than stare
No.
Uh, YEAH! Who wouldn't?!?
4:46 A BAT CREDIT CARD?
Pulls out a gun and starts shooting
I take it you know the Nostalgia Critic?
Jae Pencil I watch him a lot
ʟᴇʟᴇʟᴇʟᴇʟʟʟᴇ
A Bat Credit Card!? Kill Him!
Jason Todd is that you?
Uma Thurman was PERFECT FOR THIS ROLE! It’s not her fault the movie was what it was! I would definitely cast her again even to this day if Poison Ivy is brought back to any Batman movie!
I absolutely agree pair her with Robbie Margo, go grab that new Mcfarlane Poison Ivy action figure...we're finally getting one after decades. Have a great day ☕
This movie may have been cheesy but you got to admit poison ivy knew how to make an entrance
4:16
This is basically twitch with simps desperately donating. 😂
They predicted Twitch
The music and ivy was absolutely awesome. When she winks at robin I always wonder why. But this movie rocks
She winks at him because he's easier to control
Schwartzbruder1 ahh now I get it .
George Clooney 5'10"
Chris O'Donnel 5'9"
Uma Thurman 5'11"
Her costume has 3" heals
That is some movie magic right there.
They actually had a cash register sound effect for that card 😂😂😂😂
I think it's fair to say that 2:14 is the best part. The music, directing, lighting and reveal of Ivy's full look is pretty great. This scene is genuinely pretty great until they start talking 😂
For some reason I remember this from my childhood, and I think this is the most pornographic thing I ever watch as a kid.
Yeah...
she was my gay awakening after all these years this lady was my first Slay
Robin was part of my Gay awakening, Ivy was part of my (I kinda want the villain to win) awakening
Lucas Gray lmao same
Lucas gay
Same
@Christian Banuelos I am one hundred percent gay
@@lucasgray1492 100% same
I know this film is regarded as ine of the worst Batman films but, I do love Poison Ivy and her entrance.
As an 11 year old, I was sickly in love with Uma Thurman when this came out. 😍
Same, my friend. Lol
The best thing is the movie. I've watched this movie more than 50 times just to watch her ... her beauty, her the outfits, the glam, the seduction, the message
She is the only reason I like this movie... Uma Thurman gave a good performance
I just wish they had her use this costume the whole movie instead of the Jumpsuit she uses after this.
I love how unapologetically campy and fun this movie is
This movie may have been a joke, but it was absolutely ICONIC lol! I LIVED for Poison Ivy ❤❤❤
I remember watching this movie, only the Poison Ivy parts tho. She mesmerized me as a kid, never even acknowledged that it was Uma Thurman💀
I wish Ivy wore that costume for the whole film, it would have been better
I know you are not talking about the gorilla or we are about to throw hands
I never realized how sexual this scene was
Batman looks drunk when he says "5 million". George Clooney probably was.
Joker: OOOHHH Kinky.
Literally me everyone time I show up at a party when nobody thinks I'm attending.
That 1st appearance was so epic. Loved the music too!! The swaying dances,WOW.
Uma Thurman *ATE* everyone up in this movie!!! She's my favorite version of Poison Ivy, Poison Ivy? More like Poison Mommy am I right 🌿😍💋
Honestly I'd probably kiss her if given the chance. There's just something so powerful and soothing about her presence that it just feels right to give in and kiss her even if it kills me. Like I'd be denying something right and natural.
And this is how one makes an entrance to a party.
This is the way to introduce a character.
Poison Ivy/Pamela Isley is the best thing about this movie.
2:26 that shot of Robin’s face cracks me up every time 😂
The movie is far from perfect, but Uma's take on Ivy is perfect. She is the perfect Poison Ivy.
4:33 When a Bob Ross painting is up on auction and I have millions of childhood memories about it.
Uma was perfect as Poison Ivy. Loved her and I loved this movie.
I don't care what anybody says, this will always be my favorite batman movie. Takes me back to my childhood, and it's just perfect! So much fun!
