BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - Welcome to Boston, a beautiful and historic city in New England with a vibrant Italian influence. Today we’re going on an Italian food tour of Boston, we’ll be checking out the North End and East Boston around the airport. Get ready for a huge chicken parm sub, pizza, and one of the USA’s greatest Italian meals!
Dino's Cafe (goo.gl/maps/4fDRwUq4yaRAQKARA) - We started this tour in Boston’s north end, one of the great Italian American neighborhoods in the United States. It’s a great place to walk around, and enjoy the narrow streets and delicious food. We ate at a place called Dino’s Cafe, a wonderful spot offering home style Italian food and especially a variety of Italian style sandwiches. I specifically came to eat the massive fried chicken parmesan sub including fresh breaded deep fried cutlets, cheese, and marinara sauce. It was made fresh, and one of the best versions I’ve ever had - and on top of that, it’s huge! Price - $14
Rino's Place (goo.gl/maps/j11j2aEvXVKDwFU66) - Next up on this Italian food tour of Boston, we headed to Rino's Place, without a doubt one of the great Italian restaurants in the United States. It’s been praised by Guy Fieri, and I can tell you that it’s one of those places where no matter what you order off the menu, it’s going to be outstanding. Along with amazing food, the owner and all staff are fantastic. I ordered the signature lobster ravioli, plus a plate of amazing spaghetti (I can say it’s one of the best plates of spaghetti I’ve had in my life) and finally a plate of veal marsala with pasta. Again, all three dishes were top of the notch, absolutely amazing.
    Total price - $99.51
Santarpio's Pizza (goo.gl/maps/sPiBU5WRbNcnLPUTA) - Finally to end this Italian food tour in Boston, I met up with my friend Jeffrey Merrihue ( / jeffrey_merrihue ) to eat a few pizzas at the legendary Santarpio's Pizza, which is one of the best pizzas in Boston. Along with pizza, they are known for their kebabs, which they grill over fire at the front of the restaurant - is there anything better than kebabs before pizza? We ordered the sausage and garlic pizza, and it was delicious.
Boston is a fantastic city, and I loved eating all of this incredible Italian food when I was there.

I have been to the great city of Boston. I confess that I headed right away to Cape Cod and had the biggest and best Seafood Combo that I have ever eaten. I
eventually made it up to Boston’s North End and I nearly OD’d on the pasta and Chicken Parmigiana. I also got to see the Boston Red Sox play three straight night games at Fenway Park. It was one of the best and happiest vacations that I have ever taken. Many thanks to the citizens of Massachusetts. 👍👍👍👍

What a great thing to happen to my 3 girls and I. The best bruschetta. The best mussels with crostini. The best entrees. The waiter was adorable. One of the most pleasant dining experiences I've ever had. There was a table of guys behind us. All paisans. Lol. Nicest , friendliest group of people. They were the best. Boom, you have three beautiful dishes just using those ingredients. Veal Marsala is one of my favorite dishes, so simple to make..Veal, marsala wine, butter and parsley. If an italian like me watches this video, hes gonna have goosebumps coz those are totally reinvented recipes, in fact chefs are mexican and dont know a thing about italian food. Italian food is so astonishing :0, the meals looked so tasty and flavourful, I could only imagine the aroma and my mouth was watering during the whole video: I got hungry only by looking at every pasta dish. The kitchens and the process, the details Mark gives about the food and how much appreciation he shows to the owners, the people at the restaurants, as well as his respect to the cuisine's authenticity and the enthusiasm, happiness that results from just one bite, it’s a truly incredible experience.
I loved the process of creating the pasta at Rino’s place. It looked so simple and yet so experienced, it was beautiful how easily the cooks handled everything. I admire them so much :0. Thank you Mark for sharing this adventure :) .

The point is that 99% of 'pizza places' in Rome, Florence etc are just 'tourist traps', where they use frozen ingredients to feed tourist and giving them what they 'believe' is Italian pizza... I feel sorry for them, but this has noting to do with true Italian pizza, as the 'American-italian food' shown in the video has - obviously - nothing to do with 'Italian' food! I respect the 'American-italian' tradition, but I simply find it too heavy, far too greasy (that sauce served with the ravioli is - in my personal view - simply obscene...). They only had a flat top grill so it was mostly burgers, dogs and pepper and egg sandwiches'. But they had a local favorite which was 2 BIG THICK slices of bologna cooked on the grill with caramelized onions and green peppers on a freshly baked Bulkie Roll. It cost 75 cents and you could get a cold beer to wash it down. .All the truck drivers used to stop and grab one to go.
