"The garbage button doubles as your product showcase button." " for people doing product endorsements" Sony knows what's up 😂
Now I can flash my trash without irony.
lmaoooo
🤣 LMAOOOO 🙈
Ha ha thats so true 😂😂
😂
Chris and Jordan review? Well of COURSE it's excellent! Years of experience shine brightly here. DP Review probably didn't realize how lucky they were to snag these jokers......
When you have zero interest in that camera but watch this only to enjoy Chris's and Jordans performance
I'm just here for the awkward vlogging section lol
Hands down the best overview, no sugarcoating
This was an amazing review, best I've seen up, thanks
Sony bribe: Bitcoin?
Chris: Nah.
Sony bribe: Swedish fish?
Chris: Now we talking..
Quality review as per usual. Fav camera channel 👍🏻
Great job, best concise yet highly informative review I’ve seen for this camera out of all the top reviewers!!
Was planning on soon purchasing an a6400 for zoom and streaming. This for $200 less, having face/eye detect and not needing an EVF seals the deal. Thank you guys for making a video on this camera.
Very useful information! Thanks for sharing!
THANK YOU!! This video was so helpful. You are the best reviewer I found so far because you switch between filming on the camera being reviewed and your cinematic camera, so we can actually see the contrast of how the camera compares to a cinematic camera. Also, you spend a good deal of time filming on the camera being reviewed instead of simply inserting 1 second clips like other reviewers. You are the BEST hands down!!
Saw the embargo lift notifications but waited for Chris and Jordan’s DPReview to watch
Thank you so much for this review. 🙏🏼One question: If buying this for filming family trips etc, some videos for my psychologist HomePage and taking portraits (I love portraits) - would the 10-18mm plus the 50mm f/1.8 OSS be a good choice of lenses, or should I make other choices? I am not into tech stuff, but love taking pictures. At the moment I own a Olympus PEN E-PL with a 45 mm lense.
Your work is awesome I mean your content is in another level. I wish you the best this was a great review. Greetings from El Salvador 👌😉
Great review guys! 👏
Got this camera late last year and have no regrets. It performs well as both a step up from filming on a phone and an excellent starter camera for someone picking up photography/videography for the first time. It’s also been surprisingly good with my 100-400mm telephoto lens 😂 which seems like a Frankenstein’s monster of a combination, but has been wonderful for filming local sporting events and performances. Definitely not something for professional photographers but absolutely fantastic for the casual hobbyist.
Great video. Looks like a great camera, but some already report overheating issues. Does it have an AE-L/AF-L feature like Panasonic and other cameras have for recording movies?
2:37 "cruddy back dial" ... Got that right. Chris keeping it real.
Embargo lift squad represent
I am getting one of these I have a question? if I was to buy a UV Filter for the Sony ZV-E10 with size filter would I buy 50mm??? thanks
Great review! Thanks
excellent overview!
Lifelong Canon user here, happy with my R5. This camera is a big win for Sony. Seriously looking into it for travel/vlogging !
I wish they'd release a hotshoe EVF for those that don't do much vlogging but still like a product showcase feature if need be.
I'd pair this with the Tamron 17-70/2.8 for travel.
Great review.
Hi, would you be able to do a comparison video between the zve10 and the fujifilm xs10?
I'm getting my 1st camera for livestreaming as an upgrade from using huawei smartphone, and wanted to know if i should pick xs10 over this?
Can you please help me with when you recorded this video with the Sony ZV E10 did you use the kit lens or another? Also that isn't straight out of camera video. You color graded it?
The background defocus mode using the lens given together with the Sony ZV E10, right? Or it is on another lens? Might buy as i havent yet buy ZV1
What surprised me the most about this video is that Jordan did not talk about the power zoom feature. Years ago I owned a Canon video camera with a power zoom, and having a power zoom is a big advantage when zooming while shooting video. The problem with a manual zoom is that it is difficult to do a smooth zoom while shooting video, and you also have the problem of trying to hold the camera steady while turning the zoom ring especially if the manual zoom is stiff.
Having a manual zoom is not a problem when shooting photographs, because you turn the zoom to where you want it before you shoot the photo, and you are not changing the zoom while you are shooting the photo.
Most of the lens Sony makes do not have a power zoom, so that there are not many lenses you can use the power zoom feature on, but having a power zoom is actually one of the advantages of the kit lens for shooting video.
Nice review. I want to make videos about repairing electronics on my desk. It's gonna be over head camera setup. Is it a good camera for my particular setup? Also what lens do you recommend?
HI Brother which lens should we buy along with camera for cooking video pls suggest.
Hi, which one would you pick between fuji xt200 and sony zve10 for casual cityscape/night photography and video making ??
Nice review...can you plz tell me, How does this stand against fuji xt 200.?
Hi, Is the background Defocus in addition to the blur given by lowest aperture in the lens using some type of software (like in phones) ?
Thanks for the video. I have a question
Is the rolling shutter a problem with all the entry-mid level Sony cameras or it’s happening only with Zv1 and zv10 E?
it has the same terrible rolling shutter... in fact it is an a6300 in another body with some improvements and the new active stabilization... All other issues we know from a6300/a6500/a6100/a6600 are still the same since all these models are based on the old outdated technology sensor from 2015
Does it work with that hot shoe microphone XLR thing that you can use with the A7SIII or FX3?
yes seems like same multi-i hot shoe as a7C, a1, a7S3, FX3, a9ii, a7Riv
Thank you so much for this review. Can you please clarify - can this camera livestream and record to the card memory (or computer?) at the same time? Thanks again
Hi! That white color of Sony is very sensitive to dirt? Thank you!
Looks like a really compelling option for people who want to up their game at:
1. General vlogging
2. Product reviews
3. Streaming content
4. Video conferencing
Core technology-wise this camera isn't anything special, the difference lies in the fact that Sony approached this as creating a *system targeted at vlogging* (and a few other use cases) rather than just as a camera. Given that only professionals, a few enthusiasts (like me) & mid- to high-end vloggers now use anything other than a smartphone, this is a good move. Bravo Sony, this will force Canon to step up!
I was going to say I had great video on my S10 Galaxy in 1920p 30 FPS. Tbh it looks better than this camera ...with the exception of a background blurr. Why that would be, I have no clue.
Is there a camera in the $800 range that has a blurr, stabilization, and good dim light?
It seems in the video, the guy had to stay still or his movement looked artificial in blurr mode.
@@derekroberts5931 I think the Canon EOS RP has dropped to that price range, but not sure if that includes the kit lens. Low-light performance of larger sensors well be far superior (it's just physics), assuming the same level of technological sophistication.
If you're happy with the performance of your smartphone camera, save your money! I find using smartphone cameras frustrating, so wherever I care about quality, I opt for my APS-C DSLR (yup, I still got one of those!).
Does this still hold true today? I'm about to purchase a camera for video conferencing, webinars (live and recorded), mostly just point and shoot. Occasionally I will be out and about walking and talking as well. I'm open to any brand, want the best bang for my buck, and this seems to be the one?
@@patrickthemedicareguy I've been using this for my daily video calls for months now and I gotta say it's well worth the money.
Great video! Does the ZV-E10 have a better support for 4K compared to the ZV-1? I have a ZV-1 and I have to turn the temperature control off if I want to record for longer periods of time in 4K
yes the zve10 better 4k than the zv1. the zve10 would take about 3x the time of the zv1 to overheat .
Is the quality of 1080p video coming from this camera worse if compared to that of fuji or canon camera?
best of alltime,! …gimme Swedish fish now 🤪 …great review, fun to watch, cheers 😃✌️
I'm thinking about getting this camera to stream my violin practice but I'm concerned there will be too much movement. I also like that you can use it as a webcam through the usb type c. Thoughts anyone?
I was super impressed when you used the on-board microphone
I'm new to vlog cameras... When he was walking and vlogging himself, it seemed a little choppy, is that because of the 30 frames? Can I film on 60 frames but without 4k?
Please help me choose between this and the A6400? My concern is the Definition and the details of 4K / 1080 p footage and Photos
I'M SOLD! Thank you!!!!! Best review ever.
Can we make music videos with this? Secondly it has a button that keeps the object into focus and blurs the background that means i dont require 50m lens ryt?
Great review. This camera is no Z-V1 upgrade though. It’s just something a little different.
wow, this is really quite a compelling package.
@M Tech yeah look it's not for me, but for a beginner it's an interesting camera. Not every camera can be a high end camera, there needs to be lower tiers, I think a touch screen is a better cost sacrifice than let's say a rotating screen on a vlog camera, and IBIS is another good cost saving as you can get lenses with IS.
I have a trouble with ZV E10: after shooting video in 4K and recording audio on another mic I found that video and audio don't sync and the reason is that video goes a bit faster! Just 1-2% After slowing down the video everything is synced. I checked it in Vegas and Premier Pro. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Great info
Does sony catalyst browse work with this? (post stabilisation, and post motion blur could be an interesting way to work. gimbal like stability without a gimbal). Sony catalyst Browse may also solve the rolling shutter (I know the competing product Steadxp+ removes rolling shutter when used in post)
It does.
Okay so when is Jordan going to review the Canon L1 he held up?
I feel like the crop at 30p is a huge bummer. The a6100 doesn't have that, right?
I would like to see a comparison between the A6000 series and this ZV-E10.
for sure HD quality of a6000 would be better than this, since it has the same old sensor from a6300 which is good for 4K (with terrible rolling shutter) but poor in HD.
Although a lot of people don't seem to like this camera or concept I think it's incredible. It's almost the perfect camera if you're more focused on video than stills and want to capture a prolonged video event from multiple angles with picture profiles
-hlg/slog profiles
- no video record time limit
- aps-c sensor and interchangeable-lens capability
- all this for only $700, especially if you already own other aps-c e-mount lenses
To me that's an incredible feature set for the price
What? What people dislike about this camera? This camera is as good and powerful as a camera that I bought in 2011 for $2500.
@@Reachland02 at the time thecamera came out and this video came out, there was a lot of disdain in the comments and in general. I am definitely in agreement you
@@Reachland02 main letdown is the rolling shutter. other than that, this is an excellent camera
@@01chohanbetter than to overheat , *Fuji*
4:31 I am so glad this camera has the USB power option. Any modern camera must have this feature.
I just broke my Canon M50 using a dummy battery - it came unplugged while filming and now its bricked.
You can see by the background that they shot this months ago in the Spring. Unusual for a camera company to give you a camera that far in advance of the launch date.
There was a Japan/China issue some time back, when it was supposed to be announced , and it all had to be postponed.
It actually leaked a few months ago. They delayed the launch at least twice.
I'm going to guess it was delayed by a combination of COVID and being sure they had secured their chip supply before allowing preorders to start.
Can you suggest a lens which we can buy by skipping the 16-50mm one. like I was planning to buy the body and a separate lens. will be using it for indoor streaming as webcam and also for shooting vlog or normal videos. would really appreciate the feedback.
sigma 16mm f1.4, but this camera has bad rolling shutter not good for vlogging, better stick to zv1.
I’m like this camera!!! I wear glasses so I avoid using the EVF as much as possible. Only in bright light of course. In like to have the EVF, but… only in bright sunlight. I like the easy background blur button! Awesome!
You guys always do a great job, whatever the topic. That said, ANOTHER SONY VIDEO? You must really like the Swedish Fish! How about some videos with other brands? What foodstuffs would ensure that? 🍕
Can you tie the zoom dial to clear image zoom. Time to find the manual.
I have a question im planning to buy the zve10 but i see on the internet about fungus and you need to buy a dry cabinet, do i need ? it necessary and is it a high maintenance camera?
What's up with the touch screen from the early 2000s?. No obis makes it hard to vlog with alot of lenses
Please recommend good camera and lens for taking cooking videos
As a person who used a phone for most of my pictures and videos I do enjoy the ZV-E10. For the price it’s not a bad camera
What len for zv-e10 on video? Thanks
does it have built-in nd filters like zv1
nope
Does it do "true 24 fps" or 23.97 fps re-timed export to 24 fps?
What lenses do you recommend to buy with this?
Is there a video recording limit? I can’t seem to find a straight answer anywhere
What kinda mic and lavender or you using ?
was this video recorded with the 16-50mm kit lens ?
Great review as always, and very fun to watch you guys :)
it's not the kit lens because the kit lens can't open up to f1.8. my guess is that they used the Sony FE 50mm f1.8 lens
Review zx v1 vs zx e10 video
What is the maximum video record time?
Is 1080p movie quality the same as the a6400 or worse?
Does it record gyro data?
So, I got this camera thinking there wouldn't be a crop in 24fps 4K as that's what every review has said. However, it seems there is a crop in both 30 and 24fps on mine. Switching between 24 or 30 has no visible difference and both are significantly cropped in when comparing to photo mode. Anyone know what could be causing this?
Do you have software IS turned on in video and not still?
Does the wind blocker come with it
So what will they do with RX100 series?
Does it support Gyro Data Stabilization like in the a7c?
yes has gyro
one thing about this camera has that sony has not put into the 6100 or 6400 is it runs as a webcam without 3rd party screen capture
They should make evf that can connect through the hot shoe, since the hot shoe is on the left corner. If they do that would be great.
Does it have Dual Rec and Auto Dual Rec like the ZV-1? (Can take a picture while taking a video, or automatically take pictures while taking a video?)
No, even ZV-1 can't in 4K, only Nikon Z50, Z5, Z6, etc and Panasonic G100 can capture while recording in 4K!
@@Jimmyageek Thanks! Does sony document this anywhere? I'm looking at the ZV-1 and it just says may not be available in some rec modes but then does not specify what that means. I think the Nikon only records an image at the movie resolution (so 8mp for 4k) good enough I guess but the ZV-1 can record 17mp pictures while taking videoswhich I assume is the full APS-C sensor but cropped for the movie aspect ratio. Plus in auto mode it can look at the composition and take a picture while taking a video on it's own. Disappointed if it's not even offered at 1080p as that's such a "family friendly" feature. Example kids birthday party you can get video and pictures of jimmy blowing out the candles. Alternative is two cameras for photo/video or laborously going frame by frame through a video looking for an artifact free still image or.... just use the iphone which takes a movie with every picture or lets you take a picture in any video.....
helpguide.sony.net/dc/1910/v1/en/contents/TP0002867870.html
What's going on at the bottom of the picture in the last scene (11-ish on), surely not an out-of-focus bit of scenery?
Any heating issue sir? When 4k recording
How long ago was this shot? No leaves on the trees in Alta.
Inspired by your video I thought I’d try something new.
So I bought some Swedish Fish - boy, they are good. Thanks for the useful review. Keeping them coming…
How does it compare to the Fugifilm XT200 ?
Can someone suggest me to either to Go for 6400 or e-10 or a7m3 for a beginner
Reading between the lines, did Sony require that you test the soft skin effect during a vlogging component? I think every other review did the same exact thing lol
Does anybody know if the HDMI out has clean output so that I can use it as a streaming camera? Also can I keep it connected to USB-C charger so that I can use it indefinitely without worrying about battery running out?
Yes
What gimbals can control it?
This video was shot in July ? It looks like the snow just melted and there are no leaves on the trees. Maybe you had the camera earlier but did not release the clip until July ? Just trying to figure out when this rig will be in the stores.
suprise to see all videos about zv-E10 in
trending now
lol 20 videos about the same camera just popped up on my feed
How do you release this with the old menu and lack of touch screen? My God Sony. Figure it out.
really cool
Wasn't the SV-1 just a rebodied RX100-mk7 ?
