Man, i wish we could get that 507 comp with an ACSS reticle, the 250moa circle around it is a life saver if you can't find your dot in an awkward shooting position
@@CTrain you are correct. i have a 507comp on my MR920 and its the easiest dot (well, technically i use the circle with no dot) to find of any of my pistol optics.
If I might make a note, showing that it held zero would have been a good confirmation of the concept you were demonstrating here. Still, keep bringing us that knowledge man!
I can't think of a Holosun that Sage has dropped that hasn't held zero. Even when the lens failed on some of the older models, they were still able to perform.
@@Osprey1994 if thats the case why even perform this test in the video to begin with, i mean their old stuff was good...right? holding zero would have been the test, i dont think anyone expected the dot to just stop functioning altogether after tapping it on a foam topped bench. lol
Yeah I think I’ll wait for it to actually hit the market and people start to report on it. Honestly holosun is innovating and pushing the market forward. And they seem to make great products.
I was a late adopter to dots on pistols so I went with Holosun thinking I’d eventually upgrade to a more expensive sight if I liked it. I see no need to “upgrade”. I don’t abuse my gear but I don’t baby it either. Several classes, EDC, thousands of rounds at the range, and who knows how much dry fire and draw practice. Still running strong.
Beating the shit outta his $400 optic so we don't have to. You're a man of the people and I think I speak for all of us when I say we thank your optic for its service and sacrifice.
@Ass Clapper a lot of people say they can't handle the testament of war. cold weather. hot weather. That's my fucking point. They are being used on both sides. A lot of idiots like you shit 9n them because they "made in China" (almost all companies get glass in China) but this is obviously the first time they're being used in a combat zone on both sides Russia and Ukraine and they are working...... There is my point. And I sure would have delta point pro and the aim point acro
@Ass Clapper I think his point is a lot of people shit on holosun cause they’re made in China, even tho in peoples durability testing they seem to last better than a lot of American made
Thanks, Scott. Will be closely following this. I’m considering getting a green dot version and direct milling it onto a G17 that I have. I’ve got several 507Cs, two 509s and one 507k. Haven’t had an issue with any of them. And one of my 507C has nearly 12K through it and has been pretty used and absurd for a carry gun.
As a new holosun dealer I want to switch my optics on my guns from the SRO to holosun. This one I’m excited for. Durability of a holosun and window like a SRO.
To be fair, we all knew that it would survive this, but it’s nice to see it anyways. What people really want to know is if this competition focused optic happens to be roll around on the ground, shtf tough. Personally I think as long as it’s about as durable as a normal 507c it’s good to go.
Looking forward to this release . I like the my 407 CO with the 8MOA circle, but the window’s a bit small to be ideal for competition, as is my standard 507C X2. We’ll see if the 507 Comp with the 8 MOA replaces my 6MOA SRO, R3Max or Cmore RTS2 . All my HS’s have been bombproof . I’ve had minor issues with every other brand but them.
The 8moa circle is amazing. I wish more people would try it out. Not many optics utilize a reticle of that nature. Atleast with the 507comp we will be able to again!
I'm not really convinced by any durability evaluation that doesn't test to destruction. All this test tells us is that an unknown magnitude of impact didn't produce damage. That's not even a data point. I know that sponsors don't like to see their products destroyed on video, but the true durability question is *how much* of an impact is required to destroy something.
@@devongrey4135 Not at all. I invite Constructive criticism all the time. What I annoys me when I literally say this is. It a thorough test but just a small example mod what the optic can take and then you go all Mr Serious Science on me. Relax and take the info for what it is.

@@ModernSamuraiProject Better, but try to relax even more. One of the things I like to keep in mind is that most of the things I see and hear aren't really about me. The shroud looks about as thick as the EPS and 508T so dont see why it couldn't take a drop or 2 right ?
I remember the days when majority of people scoffed at the idea of Holosun being as durable as Trijicon
This doesn't prove its as durable as Trijicon. Just shows its not absolute shit quality

15 lbs with stock striker spring. 13 lbs with a reduced one from sprinco

I would be surprised if that broke the dot. What I would be wondering is if the zero held.

Which plate adapter for the 507 comp ?
What kind of plate do you use on the pdp
Does Jedi use the lucky 7 port job from monsoon still? And is it on a 4.5 or a 5.0 inch pdp? I can't ever tell by the video

What footprint is it
will it drive spikes ?

Not a big fan of the open emitter. Hopefully they come out with a similar in features optic as this one but enclosed.
Holosun makes a closed emitter sight. Look up holosun enclosed pistol sight (EPS). Came out last year. Holosun makes a full size and a carry size EPS.
