Informative. I am convinced that my CZ Shadow 2 compact should be outfitted with the 507 Comp.
That's a solid choice. I would recommend checking out @gotgammage on Instagram and UA-cam. He has a shadow 2 compact and has many optic options. Very informative as well
I have to agree with this dude 100% but more to the purpose of them and one thing that drove me mental about the SRO on my Shadow 2 Compact was its hanging over the ejection port would get absolutely destroyed with grime from a heavy range day of 1,000 plus rounds and while i love cleaning my pistols and gadgets it would become a pain in the ass after a while
Solid point
Great review sir. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and the feedback!
I'm a in store Gun Tech there, and thank you for the shout out!!! Great, accurate video and happy birthday!
Right on!! 👍🏻
You are doing a great job, I for one much appreciate your review so I can make better choices thank you. Here’s my struggle, my friend. I have a beautiful American made pistol in Texas and I struggle with the thought of putting a Chinese optic on top of it.sometimes I wish I wasn’t so freaking difficult😂
Thank you. I hear your pain. The market is riddled with Chinese influence.
Happy very late birthday man greatly appreciate your info
Thank you for the kindness and support!
Awesome comparison, man! Subbed!
Thank you! Appreciate you watching and subbing. 💯
I appreciate you honest review. I'm going to pick up the 507 Comp if I can find it.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching and commenting. If you can’t find a comp you want to try out Gideon optics. And I have a coupon to help at checkout: JAYWETH
Nice review. I’m really happy with the 507 comp on my canik rival s. I tried the 507c ACSS from primary arms but didn’t like that one.
Thanks! I really enjoy the holosun. The value for features is a nice sweet spot and the optic performance is stellar
Great video bro. Very detailed and informative
Thank you fam. Appreciate you.
Thanks for this review!
Thank you for watching!
Nice video jay. And happy belated birthday.
Thanks! Appreciate that
Good video, very informative. The only thing I could add is one of my reasons for buying Holosun over other brands is the side battery tray. I think its a very positive feature that you don't have to remove the entire optic to change the battery.
That’s another great point and the Sro top battery load isn’t as easy compared to the side loading battery on holosun.
I’d like to say that aside from the original RMR specifically, which is essentially being replaced now by the RMR HD (used SRO style battery), this isn’t an issue anymore.
The side battery tray is a more vulnerable failure point than the top load. Same concept with the shake awake, which introduces more complications into circuitry that might cause failure, especially with impact. It’s usually a non-issue but there is a benefit.
Good video and information. Congrats and regards from Mexico City
Appreciate it! Thank you!
Good review
Great review!
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback
Really liked video learned a.lot thanks 😮😅
Thanks for watching!
Great Review Bro...
Thank you! Appreciate the support and you watching!
I love the holosun but that SRO has a clear view and huge window
You can’t go wrong with either one
Totally agree! Thanks for watching.
The comp is bigger than the SRO!!
Love your video..I have subscribed
Thank you! Appreciate the support!!
Great video keep it up 👍
Thanks! Appreciate your support.
Great content!
Thank you!
I have a 507Comp on my Idpa gun. I wish Holosun would’ve just offered a single 3moa dot only at a slightly lower price. After about 2k rds, it’s been great.
Thanks for sharing. That’s good insight. I have something coming out soon that you may want to checkout. It’s a 3 moa dot optic that’s very affordable and has a huge optic window.
Love my Holosun 507C ... the best .
Good, Thx
I like both. I tend to use trijicon on my carry pistol just because of reliability (ordered the new RMR HD since it seems to have some amazing features and the durability). I like my holosuns too, but I've had a few issues in the last with shake awake not working and one case where the red dot eventually wouldnt go bright at all for daylight use I'd click to increase and it would max out at a very low point. Also, not a quality issue just aesthetically I wish Holosun would make their branding more discrete like in their titanium lines.
Yea I agree discrete branding would be nice but I see why they do it. I haven't had issues with mine but they make so many it's random. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment!
Get ready for a wait on the RMR HD. I reached out to trijicon wondering what backorder looked like and they said it's 3-4 months.
Nice review. I like both. Can you do a review on Boba Fett's helmet range finder ?
Thanks! Hahaha I wish I could. Thanks for watching.
U did a great job 👏🏿
Thanks! I really appreciate that
Just bought the 507 comp In green. I have astigmatism too.
Heck yea!!
Yes I have the 507 comp GR
Cool video 👍 keep it up
Thanks for the support!
If you dont have room for all those I have extra space in my safe lol cool vid
Thanks!
I like the comp but the width of the optic at the top causes printing issues for me while carrying appendix. The tighter the grip is pushed in the more the optic prints. My SRO doesn’t have that issue. Also I don’t see the benefit of a wide window at the top. The tall window is great for tracking the dot but I don’t need that extra width at the top of the window. The round shape makes the SRO conceal great while offering a large window to me. Like you, I do wish it came in green though. Great vid man
Thanks for sharing. I agree with many of your points. I did get a Gideon Optics Omega in green and it shared similar styles to the Sro at a fraction of the cost. I haven’t had printing issues with any of my optics it’s been with the grip frame but over time it becomes less of a concern.
@@Ben2k109 not for me 😎
@@Ben2k109 that’s one of the most Fud statements I’ve ever heard. If I’m ever in a competition with a guy wanting to take my life I wanna be better than him. I also walk in my running shoes….is that ok with you? Since they were made for running and all…….
@@Ben2k109 I wouldn’t want to read something that totally negates my point and shows how ignorant I am either 🤷♂️

Well now this is a interesting video and a interesting comparison. I have switched over to hollison for some time now and they do make a quality product. The only thing I don't like about the hollison is that I am supporting China which I really hate to do, but like you say, it's hard to buy anything that doesn't come from China.
I hear you. Totally. I will say both are great options and you can’t go wrong with either. And thanks for watching!
And how do you know that no electronics in the SRO is not from China or from an China owned company. I’m totally with you don’t like it either. I’m using shields rmsx - bigger and more useful than the sro
So I have a walther Q5 sf pro and a Q4 sf pro compact. I think this 507 comp would be excellent for my Q5 for its size but for my Q4 im looking something more versatile some thing like the vortex defender or viper maybe?? or maybe even the delta point pro. whats your opinion? thank u
So when you say versatile can you elaborate? The 507 comp has a multi reticle system so you can choose many options. I personally like it for the price point and the design of it not hanging over the ejection port.
I bought a brand new SRO i really liked the optic but it would randomly shut off and the only way to get it to turn back on was to completely take the battery out and reinstall it. Luckily I was still in the 30 day return time with Amazon so I returned it and bought the Holosun. Now that I’ve used both I will tell you the Holosun is my favorite. The buttons are more tactile and there is different reticles to choose from.
Awesome points. I have seen that happen. Thanks for watching and commenting.
It does this if you don’t tighten the battery cap down enough . I have 6 SRO’s and never had an issue with this , but have helped others who have by tightening their caps . I had one of my SRO’s fail after over 90k rounds and many hours of dryfire . It was mounted ion my Glock 34 it was over 3 years old and Trijicon replaced it with a brand new one at zero cost to me . I suspect that like most things nowadays these are being promoted by paid influencers. You used to be able to go on this platform and trust reviews , but since these platforms have been demonetized, these companies pay influencers to push their products . I have a Holosun that I put on my PDP ( heavily influenced pistol ) . I definitely prefer the SRO , not even close to me. I am not saying this review isn’t an honest one , but I am saying many opinions are now paid for on this platform .
Does the cut depth make a difference between them? Are they interchangeable without consequence, does it need to be sent into a specialist to get done
Cut depth may have subtle differences but both optics should fit. I have found the thickness of the SRO may not fit the rmr footprint as easy for some slide cuts. But it's a case by case basis. But typically the cut depth specifically shouldn't have any consequences. If you have a slide cut for rmr it should support both optics.
SRO lyfe baby. I have an astigmatism as well but red works better for me. Based on the science side. Green does create less strain because the wavelength is smaller but, red allows you to turn the brightness down and still pick up the dot. Less brightness means less natural bloom even for those with perfect vision. Everyones eyes are different, gotta find your happy place.
Two main reasons I wont go 507 Comp. 1- the MRS is completely useless to me. Dot only, everything else is a distraction. 2- the battery side load tray. Absolutely terrible. Ive had batteries fly out on me and lost screws. Yes you can loctite them but thats just one more thing you have to remember to do when changing batteries and such.
Yes, i was able to get my hands on a Comp but sold it to a buddy that is a Holosun fan. I rock SRO's on all my full sized pistols so every pistol i pick up has the same sight picture. No, i am not a holosun hater. I have a few and one of my favorites is the EPS Carry, in red, dot only, of course.
Great video! Thorough comparison!
Man love this comment and I hear you on all of it. Different strokes for different folks and I run all sorts of optics. Thanks for watching and commenting appreciate your support.
Man love this comment and I hear you on all of it. Different strokes for different folks and I run all sorts of optics. Thanks for watching and commenting appreciate your support.
Hell ya bro
Thank you!!!!
Good review, thanks. You never touched on the difference between looking through a rectangle vs a circle...I'm curious, thinking of either one of these optics but it seems like the circle might be more natural. I'm used to traditional rifle scopes so maybe that's why. Just curious on your thoughts, thanks.
I will say a lot of people side with you and prefer the rounded shape based on other applications from their arsenal. I think both offer more than adequate field of view and it's a preference that the individual has to choose what works best for their eyes.
Just picked up a 507 COMP for $295. Gonna run it on an AR. Can't wait 🍺
Yooooo! That’s a slick idea. I like your style!
Where did you find it for that price?
I worry about the shake awake feature with carrying. Does it effect battery life dramatically?
It does turn on but given the battery life rating you're still good for annual battery maintenance. The optic still turns on while holstered and carrying since it goes based on movement. But the hours it's rated for is massive.
Depending on the purpose I like the Comp. I have two. And I like PA Acss.
That's awesome!
I have a couple holosuns on team challenge 10/22 rifles and they work ok. That said my pistol whether competition or carry are trijicon. Different strokes different folks. Some folks are just price driven. To each his own. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment and support. Great point of view.
Holusan's weakness is that battery tray. Mine came off while shooting.
Interesting I haven't had that happen yet. What model and how many rounds?
Was there enough thread lock on the screw?
Yes locktite. I have SRO Dpp vortex carry and dpp as well. Just can't trust it anymore this one esp it's on my EDC gun.
What about the swampfox Justice II 1×30.
I haven't had the opportunity to test it out. But happy to test it if given the opportunity
if you live in Europe the prices are. Holosun 450Euro, SRO 900Euro, easy choice...
Wow!!!!!
hi thx for info. how do you think this compares to scs320? I HAVE A SIG 320 10MM ? thank you
So I personally dont own the SCS320..however I do know its a smaller window but is said to be very durable and reliable (although its a newer optic). I prefer the larger optics but Holosun optics are always solid options.
13:52 thank you!!! I’m tired of people saying that using iPhone, android so on and so on.. you almost can’t say you don’t use anything china great video btw🔥
Thank you! Thank you for watching, commenting and supporting!
do you need a plate adaptor for holoson on the glock mos?
If it doesn't come with an rmr footprint plate adapter you'll need one.
Which one has less blue tint to the glass?
I'd have to check. I no longer have the Sro.
How do you feel about the durability of the 507 comp? Do you think the glass would hold up for duty purposes? Or is the 507C a better option?
It feels very rugged. I haven't duty tested it but it feels solid but the 507c might be more resistant to damage given the build design.
@@jayweth thanks I ended up going with the RMR type 2. Hopefully I like it!
@@3PeatTV I hear those are good too. So many optics.
What about 507 comp va rmr hd?
I haven’t had the chance to get the rmr hd but based on the spec sheet it looks to be smaller and be more in line with the holosun 509T
If you have a problem with chinese made parts you shouldn't buy trijicon or aimpoint either since they both utilize china made parts. China has like 90% of the resistors and capacitors market.
Great points!!
Wrong
Which parts are they using from China ?

There is no comparison. Trijicon and wouldn’t even consider a Holosun on my pistol.
Hey we all have our choices. And I’m thankful there are options. Thanks for watching and for the support!
does 507 Comp have a lock feature like EPS?
Yes. According to the user guide it does. I believe this has become a standard feature.

I own trijicon scopes but its crazy a red dot cost as much a a psa ar15
Yea the market is definitely getting interesting for all things 2A
Comparing bananas to beef jerky there pal. Bottom of the barrel AR15s to top of the line pistol red dot😂
Lol ya that is a weird combo... just saying that if a American company can produce a complete functional rifle (no I don't own a psa, I'm a urgi guy) but I'm just saying a red dot deff doesn't cost that to produce I bet the actual optic say a mro probably costs around 20 bucks to produce it's a pice of metal, screen, led, battery and a few odds and ends they probably source from china... plus the costs of the company factored in... they cost what people will pay. And right now Gucci upgrades are in..
Do you think the SRO can handle the abuse of being mounted in a 12 gauge shotgun?
@@FanofLocke627 depending the mount
Sadly, unless it says Eotech on it, it's made overseas. Fewer and fewer items are fully made it USA anymore 😢

As a consumer its my job to get the best value for my mullah. Its trijicons job to compete in the market. They cant or wont, so, holosun it is
Very fair points. Thanks for watching!

Holosun comes in green. Game over.
It really is nice on the eyes. Thanks for watching!
I got a chance to look thru the 507 comp red and the green and hands down the red is more clear . The green looked like junk and 4 other people looked thru it as well at the same time .. I will be picking up a red. I have a Sro as well .. but I want to try out the red
@@justinl8455 Good for you Justin it is great to check it out on your own and not rely on someone's opinion. It is a great optic no matter the color.
Something about Chinese optics do not settle well with me. I also don’t love the reticle options. Just want a simple dot. I get the Holosun and do that, but I would rather have the SRO. This also from someone who owns some holosuns.

Just like your mom
SRO is to close to barrel. Gets dirty quickly. Deltapoint Pro for me
That’s a solid one too. I don’t have one personally but it’s a great choice.
There is absolutely no reason that the Trijicon SRO can't come with a green dot , other than the management is unbelievably hard headed and refuse to offer the potential customer an option !
Agreed
I cant see green worth crap during the day
That's interesting. I find it easier to see. Maybe it's just our eyes individually 🤷🏼♂️
I’d like to know who is watching this not on a Chinese product or Asian product
