‘96 4Runner. Ran fine, parked 2mo. as I drive a truck. Friend borrowed it. Got back dead as hell. Saw the fuse was blown, not sure if that would actually cause completely dead condition. Jumped as you instructed, started right up. Thank you, thank you!!
EXACT same story yesterday but wish i'd found this video right away. We replaced battery and did a bunch of other unnecessary things first. Now just mind blown the fuse is bolted in (of course, broke removing and was worried at first it was fused/melted in), figuring out how to remove fuse box and access bolts. Should be smooth sailing after. Aloha and Appreciation!
Do you have a voltmeter? If yes, put it on the positive and negative battery post and check running voltage. If should be above 13.6 volts. Quick dirty check, start the vehicle and remove the positive battery cables, if the vehicle turns off, then you most likely have a bad alternator. You must always do your voltage checks, to determine if you have solid power and ground feeds.
@EliTheOBDTech Hi again, first my 4runner is on, when i remove Negative terminal the engine shuts down, that means the Alternator is bad, but when i checked it on Volt meter the Alternator got voltage ⚡️, but not charging.
Awesome video. I can jump my 4Runner by popping the clutch but I have no crank no start. I think it’s this or ignition switch. Replaced relay and starter already. Thanks man. Would you say that’s likely?
I checked that under clutch pedal. Looks good. This all started after I removed aftermarket alarm. It was draining my battery and going off in the middle of the night

Right on man! Thanks for the video!
Mine cranks but won't start, could it be this?
A blown alt 80A fuse will create a no crank, no start condition.
Check efi fuse
Thanks
You're welcome
My 1996 4runner won't charge, Is it bad Altinator or Fuse?

But the Alt is the Altenator "Fuse " Alt?
@@nabilbabrakthe2th519 Yes, the ALT is the Alternator fuse
When I jump it and go to put the terminal back on it arcs like crazy
You may have a severe short circuit
@@EliTheOBDTech thanks for replying. Turns out I had an internal short in the new alternator I installed.
I send u an email can u respond in the email ur address u I really like your approach and need someone like u to diagnose my truck thx
Just replied to your email.
Great info I appreciate it.
Thanks
how the fuck are yo removing the fuse boxes from each other?

Yes, it can be one of those two components.
Thanks dude
Now that I think about it. I tried to jump it with battery cables and nothing. Would that be more likely starter switch or same?
@@cbdreamer1709 It can also be a faulty neutral safety switch

Okay how how do I replace it
Not the same model, but the concept is the same.
