This is no joke... B1 deficiency was literally causing me full blown autonomic failure. From heart issues to GI dysmotility from my esophagus all the way to my descending colon. Nutritional yeast and benfotiamine quite literally saved my life. I went to GI specialists, neurologists, sleep specialists, cardiologists and it wasn't until finally I saw a pulmonology specialist of all things... because for some reason I was getting severe shortness of breath... and he was so blown away by the fact that I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs even though my heart and lungs were structurally normal. I asked him if there could be a Nutritional explanation for these symptoms... he thought about it for a second.... and finally said... "it's a possibility... but it would have to be so bad that's it's something called beri beri (b1 deficiency) but... that's just not possible in the western world today..." I do thank him for mentioning it... but I found it so odd that he said beri beri is a possibility but then it's not possible. Haha needless to say with in 4 hours of taking Nutritional yeast my shortness of breath vanished. Within 24 hours my choking during my sleep vanished and with in 48 hours of taking benfotiamine my global autonomic dysfunctions all started to improve simultaneously. This stuff is no joke. Thank you Dr. Berg for all of your insights. It truly does save lives. I will be letting my specialists know what happened and that YES beri beri is still alive and hurting people today. Cheers!
Wow, never thought of this, even though I studied nutrition a bit in high school and have had a interest in it. My husband sounds like you. I’ll try this for him! Thanks for the reminder that old fashioned issues can still happen.
I had completely lost trust in doctors as a profession, until I started listening to Dr. Berg. His lessons are a mix of medical knowledge and common sense.
@@penultimania4295 how is a chiropractor not a doctor? They still have to have boards and licensing. I’ve learned FAR MORE from him than any other. Usual doctors are either arrogant or incompetent or both. Mostly it’s both as they’re lazy. If it’s not an allergy pill, anti depressant, or Tylenol they’re stumped. And most anti depressants don’t work and actually cause more problems.
Doesnt matter, in actuality no doctor will tell you the REAL truth. Meaning, why and how they live so long, not to mention the medications/secret knowledge they cannot share with the public.
Talk about trusting Drs. I had a colonoscopy one yr ago my guts hurt everyday afterwards one month later I had emergency surgery from my colon twisting and blocking up from being torn loose from procedure
I have been vitamin B1 deficient 10 years I had to diagnose myself by watching doctors like you. Within two weeks my symptoms had improved at least 50% within four weeks my symptoms improved 80% and even if I don't get my other 20 back I feel like a new person. I thought it was so bad that I was going to have to go into a wheelchair and probably assisted living now I'm back my old self almost. I hope I didn't do damage that I can't undo but I'm just grateful to be where I am I'm actually walking pretty well and I get up and down my cardio problems have improved thank you so much for the videos you do you don't know it but you save lives keep up the good work
I’m going to look into this. I have been vomiting pretty much everything but water since November. I’m starving to death!!! Doctors can’t find anything wrong with me! My connective tissues are falling apart. My brain doesn’t work and I can’t sleep. Someone suggested it might be intestinal beri beri. Why didn’t my gastroenterologist suggest it? I’m angry!!!
I was texting my daughter today. I told her that I started to take B1 (Benfotiamine), B complex & Magnesium bcuz I was suffering from lack of sleep, confusion, lightheaded & a lot of back pain ( I felt like my back was going to break)...I also suffer from sciatica. I told her within 3 wks of taking it I feel great! I sleep like a baby 😊 Anyways, she said that Dr. Berg just put out a video about B1. I hope it helps others as it helped me. Thank u Dr. Berg. BTW Dr Berg ur skin looks amazing!
How did you take all the supplements and dosages and times of day? Please share your regiment much appreciated l. Did you do any diet changes and exercise?
@wonderwoman7969 Oh my, I really don't remember exactly what I did because it's been a year since then. No, I did not do exercise. I only took the B1 once a day from Nusapure Benfotiamine 300mg, with BioPerine. I stopped taking it after a month or so. Then, I started taking vitamins. I did some fasting and started taking D3 with K2 and magnesium from Pure, vitamin Code Raw Zinc from Garden of Life, and the Raw C vitamin Code. I also take 125mg Tocotrienols E vitamin from the company EANNATTO. I really can't say what exactly is helping me, but something or all has done wonders. I'm going to start on the B1 again. My cardiologist had told me that I needed to exercise because (in simple words) I think my cells are not getting the oxygen they need. I'm also going to start taking Beet Roots organic from gold health because it provides nitric oxide. Sorry I wrote so much
Went to a doctor because I had a long list of symptoms. The doctor did a bunch of tests and said there’s nothing wrong, in fact you’re very healthy. Then she prescribed an inhaler. I asked why would you prescribe that if there’s nothing wrong? She said..”you know.” Insinuating it was all in my head. So much for doctors. I quit junk food and doctors and started taking supplements, eating bone broth soup to heal the gut etc. All symptoms gone and now I am healthy as a horse.
I am having alot of problems including memory and sores in my mouth and my nails jist flake and peel. I don't know ow what to do as I have tried so much stuff.
I had peripheral neuropathy in my hands and toes. I cut sugar and took Vitamin B complex supplements and neuropathy is gone! Thank you Dr. Berg I owe this to you!!
I was very I’ll & could barely walk until I decided to supplement B1 My body is slowly untwisting & neuropathy is going away I’m so thankful for the inflammation
My grandma's on antibiotics a lot for recurring bladder infections & all she eats is carbs. She has every symptom of a B1 deficiency. She doesn't have turrets, but she has taken to shouting names randomly. Pain in the bottoms of her feet (peripheral neuropathy)... frequent nightmares... all of it. I've got to get her some B1. Dr. Berg is just so amazing. The help this man offers the world is without words for enough praise. Love Dr. Berg.
Dr Bergs B1 supplement literally saved me from my ocd. I struggled for so long with ocd specifically racing repetitive thoughts (negative thoughts) but with B1 and walking 1 mile every day my life has dramatically improved. Thank you Dr berg ❤
I also have some sort of ocd, I get negative thoughts randomly theoughout the day, sometimes even during conversations. I started taking b-100 complex today. Hope this will help me 😊
Have had symptoms of fainting, dizziness, nausea after a period of high stress and a major surgery. Dr’s blew me off , insinuating it was in my head. Just ordered the B1 supplement
You just described what my husband has suffered since 2017. He has gone from doctor to doctor spent thousands of dollars and still had no diagnosis of relief. Will be starting him on this immediately.
Thank you Dr. Berg! Dealing with a plethora of food allergies, Beta-thalassemia blood type, and still putting in 12 hour days at the railroad at 57-years-young, things have become quite challenging, but I believe you have offered a resolution to my situation, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart, may God continue to bless you.
Dizziness, especially standing up, tingling in left arm, which seems to occur when bending over, or using that arm, disappears when sitting up straight. Gut issues, mostly constipation, and now getting food coma...but decided that I have to cut protein to relieve that, and be better to my kidneys although recently began to use caution with oxalates. We all need medical degrees to keep up, but you, Dr. Berg are a huge help. Keep up the great work!
@@jeanmader2302 We don't need medical doctor degrees as they know nothing about nutritional healing. We may need a nutritionist degree or keep up with Dr. Berg.
I completed a four-month intense gut protocol with a functional doctor. Had incredible results, but I still would get constipation from time to time. Even with an improved diet and exercise, but still couldn't shake it. Then I watched this video on B1 deficiency. Ordered your B1 supplement and now no more issues. Thank you!
@@andrewbeveridge1677 thanks! do you think he’d recommend that over the benfo version? It’s weird he hasn’t done any videos on it and always recommend benfo when he sells that version.
@@cmcmackn great question. Not sure which one he would recommend. Maybe try both and see which one works well for you. It has been over four months since I started and I am doing well still. Good luck!
I work with a functional medicine doctor, but he’s not that great and certainly didn’t put me on a four month got protocol. He just list of supplements send you to his and health store and is done with you. I would love to do what you did for my gut, Can you please share if you don’t mind some of the basics of the protocol? I’m pretty familiar with gut issues but I’m curious what you did,I’ve had constipation many years. Thank you
Yes sir, I have had some classes on nutrition and study it a bit. Some people might need to know that B1 is Thiamine, B2 is Riboflavin, B3 is Niacin,, D3 is Cholecalif, etc. I still get things confused a bit and have to read the label to check How Much vitamins I’m taking. Thanks!
I watch Dr Berg's videos nearly every day. And I get so much out of them. I took some of his nutritional yeast just now and I did not realize how badly I needed B1. It actually made my blood sugar go down. His advice is what I use mostly to keep my diabetes in check. Keep up the good work!
Lupron is also an option for prostate cancer. My dad chose to start Lupron injections in 2010 instead of surgery, chemo and radiation. He's 90 and doing well
I wish you posted this info 3 years back. My son had almost all these symptoms. I researched all over and couldn’t find anything helpful. He passed away 3 years ago. I feel so frustrated when I now find all sorts of info that could have helped him in those times
I was diagnosed with ptsd, adhd, ocd, and was taking 10 different psychiatric medicine in the morning 5 at night, after I switched to keto all this went away and took myself of off medication didn't tell my psychiatrist because they will always try to convince you that you need it and you get worse they get rich
if you don't mind sharing, did you take any specific doses of supplements? I have two teens that have old and one with tics (movement of hands) so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Very happy for you!
This saved my life! For 7 years I’ve had multiple symptoms doctors could not explain. I’m healthy and exercise but felt like I was dying inside! I added nutritional yeast with fasting and it has changed my life! Thank you Dr Berg!
This is so inspiring. I’ve been feeling this way for far too long. Intense muscle pain, dizziness, brain not working well, nightmares. I cannot wait for this to arrive and I truly hope it helps, because I feel like that too. It’s quite scary. Thank you for your comment.
I grew up with a lot of these Symptoms growing up. terrette syndrome , ADD ,OCD. Thankfully the tetrettes went away. But I still had other issues. I years later have gone to this doctor and have had many different tests done. I definitely have a b1 problem, but also am deficient in other B vitamins as well. I'm just glad that dr berg make these videos to go into more details and also reconfirm my test and what I've been feeling lately and what I need to do to change it.
LMAO there was no mutation! That's only what they waned ppl to fear to take the jabs! Scientist said the covid virus doesn't mutate I have the article, but would take a week to find it in all of my review papers!
The first time I took benfotiamine, my fatigue and brain fog disappeared the whole day. I couldn’t sleep in the night because I was so energetic. A shocking initial effect, but it felt like I was actually getting energy in my system. It’s calmed down now and I’m still tired; this is a long term chronic issue so I can’t expect it to work like magic. I haven’t taken it for a month even. I have always suspected my illness is nerve related because I will slur, drop things, stumble, have extreme fatigue, stomach pain, neuropathic pain, ocd, cognitive dysfunction, vertigo etc etc. I have never been diagnosed but told I’m completely healthy - however I am suffering extremely. I am hopeful that benfotiamine will help. I’ve been sick my whole life.
God Bless you! I’ve been sick all my life , trying to tell a medical professional about my symptoms, only to have them look at me like I was a hypochondriac, because my labs were normal! I understand what you’re saying 😢….. This went on until I got my first computer. Then I started educating myself on symptoms. In the last few years, I’ve slowly taken myself off a lot of powerful medications & trying different supplements. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m a lot improved, better then I’ve been in years! I’m just recently hearing about Dr. Berg this B-1 vitamin. I’m trying it next. Oh,did I mention that I was in my early 40’s when this ‘hit’ me. I was in excruciating pain & was told it probably is ‘Fibromyalgia?’. I’d never heard of it. There was no testing for it, there was no cure, only prescription pain medication. I’ve replaced most medications with supplements, and doing so much better. I’m also 77 years old 🎉….
Years ago I told my dr how I almost wiped out PVCs with magnesium and panic attacks with B complex, he not only didn't care, but wanted to put me on blood pressure meds because my systolic was 10mmhg high. I didn't go back.
I've always been able to get my BP under control by eating right, no sugar, no carbs, pasta, junk in boxes, etc and drinking lemon water every morning.
At times, I would have tingling in my hands and feet. When I looked up on what causes that, I found a video by Dr Berg about B1 deficiency being a cause. After taking multiple tablespoons of nutritional yeast, the tingling went away very quickly. Just a simple personal testimony.
Hi there may I ask how you took it? I really want to start taking right away. Did you add it to water or another liquid? Or just put it in your mouth straight out of the package?
@@carladirden I will just eat it as is, but I have mixed it with water or almond milk before, and it does go down a little easier with some liquid. I've heard about people using it as a seasoning on vegetables to add an umami flavor, but I like nutritional yeast just as it is.
I love you Dr. Berg! ❤ You have changed my life, my husband's life and my kids will have a healthier and brighter future because of all the useful and life changing information you constantly give out to the world for free! May God always bless you! 🙏
I am surprised with this video! I know vitamin B1 long time ago from Vietnam, when my mother 72 years old, one day she had severe pain in her shoulder, my brother was nurse, he injected her liquid thiamine ( it imported from French) , the pain was gone. He told me that vitamin B1 good for arthritis and nerve pain , B1 has in brown rice ( the outer layer) . I started to eat brown rice with foods, I used Vitamin B1 supplements , I have never feel pain until now ( I am 69 years old) . About 15 years ago, my friend is nurse (RN) , I talked to her about that, she was surprised, because she had never heard about that from the school and the doctor she worked with. I hope if she watches this video she will remember me and she will think about how B1 is very excellent. Who else is watching this video, should use Vitamin B1 right away. Good luck!
You don't talk to nurse for medications usually. You talked to pharmacist. As a former pharmacist student, I'm very surprised with many comments in this place saying that doctors don't bother with vitamins. My pharmacist cousin bought a lot of Bcomplex for my grandparents to help them with their joints and nerve systems. It did help a lot. it's a common practice here in Indonesia to give vitamins when people go to doctors for non-severe problem. The dose is usually one tablet a day, that's it. Not too heavy, but it does supply your body. That's why it's called supplement, isn't it?
The old nurses had extensive nutritional education. As a matter of fact a huge .% of our med-surg RN board exams 50 years ago. When someone failed their boards, it was offer about the nutritional questions. About 40 years ago drs started being taught that all the old severe vitamin deficiency diseases were a thing of the past, with “modern”foods. I think that so many people were nutritionally deficient before then was that so many immigrants-especially the famine ravaged Irish came to our country from place as they were near starving. Then the Great depression hit, & there was a lot severe food shortages because of the huge number of people out of work. So most professors assumed that with plenty of food since the fifties, that really severe vitamin shortages were a thing of the past.
I just recently started taking b1 after watching one of your vids because I had severe anxiety issues related with this dang fibromyalgia. Has definitely helped me! Thx!
I started taking Nutritional Yeast capsules because I was feeling internally jumpy. I know I don’t sound very scientific, but, that’s the best way to describe exactly how I felt. Taking the Yeast has given me more physical energy, but, my jumpy insides have gone away. Keep up these wonderful videos, Dr. Berg. Your videos have become my Continuing Education Problem during my Retirement from being a Special Education Teacher. I want to keep my brain cells firing!!!! Bless you, Dr. Berg!!
Jade Zun That's fantastic it's helping your fibromyalgia 👏 hooray. I started taking it recently and it's helping my tender calves as Dr. Berg stated in another video it helped that, but I have fibromyalgia also along with horrible migraines and chronic fatigue syndrome and sleep apnea and I'd be overjoyed if it helped all those too!!! May in ask which brand of B1 you take for your fibromyalgia? Thanks a million for your help and continued success to your health
A common antibiotic Metronidazole (Flagyl) can cause severe vitamin B1 deficiency. Doctors usually don't make the connection. Anyone taking this antibiotic should consider this if they start to experience these scary symptoms.
Anti inflammatory drugs can cause kidney damage, but if caught in time can flush the drug out by detoxing. The urine will be orange and yellow with a foul odor. False lab results claim chronic kidney disease when all that's needed is to flush out and detox the kidneys! Parsley water boiled, fress lemon. Turmeric and ginger root ground freshly in a cup of water every morning then drink water all day, 2 to 3 weeks!
@@coolbreeze5683 I already had all these symptoms but my doctor put me on Metronidazole anyway. I made it 4 days before I crashed hard. It’s 2 weeks later and I am still not back to where I was before. I’ve been taking a B complex vitamin and Magnesium for the last 2 weeks. 🤷♂️
I can't thank you enough for this comment. I have been struggling for over a year trying to understand my health woes, and have strong belief that I am vitamin B1 deficient. I RELUCTANTLY took Flagyl to combat h-pylori. Thank you.
@@Co-Co-k9h I'm glad you were helped by my comment. So many people get terrible adverse effects (including psychiatric symptoms) days, months or even up to a year after antibiotic use. It's rare for doctors to make the link to the antibiotic. After I went through my own issues with adverse reactions, I want to let as many people as possible know that antibiotics aren't as safe as we think and to weigh the risks and benefits very carefully as to their own, unique health. Doctors work on generalizations but not everyone's bodies are the same
@@coolbreeze5683 Well you are certainly an angel. I hope more people come across this knowledge . I thought I was going crazy and honestly I’m still at a deficit. so, i went to a new dr today, she was wonderful, and all she had to say matched up with all that i have learned, but, i told her that i dont agree with her suggestion to cut animal fats. i told her i lost over 13 pounds so far, cutting carbs (down, not out) and im losing belly fat. so, stay informed and take the good info and toss out the bad.
I stopped walking from being deficient in B1. It started with a sore and red tongue and lots of tingling on legs also very bad memory. Then one day as I was walking to the the bathroom I just fell. And was not able to get back up. I spent two week in the hospital getting my levels back up and then 1 month in rehab strengthening my legs. Went from a walker to a cane and now I can walk on my own. Such a scary time in my life. But I make sure to keep up my vitamins and eat healthy.
I suffer from anorexia & bulimia & everytime in hospitalized I've had a B1 deficiency among several other nutritional deficiencies that caused severe symptoms & YES I did experience just about every symptom Dr Berg stated in video.
I purchased Benfotiamine thanks to Dr. Berg’s recommendation. I take several supplements, and sometimes forget WHY I started taking a particular one. So I write the reasons on a small label, and apply it to the supplement bottle. This is another benefit of Benfotiamine to add to that label.
I believe I have , thanks to you solved several mysteries of my health issues . I was diagnosed w/ Meniere's disease , had surgery to reduce fluid absorption, went well worked for 2 years ( I still had some of the other symptoms on the list of course ) then my husband of 54 years passed away . The resulting stress made the symptoms acute again , dizziness, vertigo, brain fog. Well now I'm on a medication that's helping but I have both pots and ataxia . No Vertigo , going to try this . BTW , I had gastric by pass 20 years ago lost 100 , kept it off , former type 2 diabetic who took metformin !! Just ordered your Natural Yeast tablets and Benfotiem of off Amazon ! THANK YOU I will come back and let you know how it works !

Seems like my DNET tumor, which has glioneuronal/oligodendrocytal root, was caused partially by lack of vitamin B1. During my engineer studies I slept poorly throughout school year, therefore I craved carbs, which depleted my B1 despite other healthy habits. Which caused the tumor and seizures as effect. Thankfully I discovered 1,5 year ago dr Eric Berg and dr Sten Ekberg and I started supplement certain nutrients. I feel better than ever before, seems like I was nutritional desert. Tumor is still with me, but since it is not cancerous and mildly affects me, it is under constant watch.

I had peripheral neuropathy in my left toes for 14 years. I started taking Dr. Berg's B1 about 6 weeks ago and my toes are no longer numb! 😄 Also, cutting out refined sugar and carbs played a huge role. In addition, taking the B1 supplement (and dietary changes) has helped heal my GERD! I suffered for years and years, taking prescription meds for it. Over a year and a half ago, my PET scan showed I had the beginning of fatty liver disease, so I took myself off of the meds but was substituting antacids. Now, I rarely have to take anything for heartburn. 😃

Hello Dr. Berg! I’ve been doing one meal a day for almost a year now. Your videos are really helpful to me. I just want to share something. Also interesting to mention that excess chronic alcohol addiction cause B1 deficiency and cause entire body edema ( extra weight gain in short period of time from B1 deficiency) also diabetic weight gain edema in the overall body extra weight gain in short period of time ( like extra weight in a period of couple months) can be from B1 deficiency, then progresses to heart failure, enlarged heart, enlarged spleen...then finally sepsis heart failure) it happened to my 78 years old mother.I have read research about it,I insisted to the doctors to give her high dose thiamine intravenously for 5 days, but they refused to do it,,,then she passed away 2 days later after being intubated. I take benfotiamine but I think I'll increase my dosage. My mom's brother had his myelin sheath deteriorating up in his neck area and he was in constant pain. Had an unsuccessful surgery. Had another surgery scheduled with no guarantee to it's success. His wife was an old fashioned cook and baker. She had sweets on hand all the time. They were well into retirement when this happened. He decided to commit suicide instead of go through another surgery that had no promises for recovery to be certain. That was many decades ago. Unfortunately medical professionals have been advising procedures and medications more and more these days it seems to me. Oh wow I think you described pain symptoms that my 89 year old mother has been having. She is not a diabetic and in general good health, but she has leg pains, not cramping, but pain. This is also affecting her sleep. I eat ketovore but she still likes all her processed foods. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday for her. Can she be tested for low B1? Will they do that? She does take a multivitamin daily. I'm her caregiver and want to ask for the right tests for her. Thanks for these great videos
Thanks again for this presentation. Respect and Great! As a question but also as an addition to your presentation, it wouldn't surprise me that there is also a (causal) relationship between a lack of vitamin B1 and Tinnitus?!
I just ordered your Nutritional Yeast Tablets. I had never heard of this until now. I've tried so many other supplements and I am hoping for the best with this product. Fingers crossed. I will update here after trying this.
Thank God for people like you. I feel like I have pretty good doctors but they don't tell you nothing like this. They put you on B1 but don't tell you what not to eat with it. That's why I have learned to do my own homework and save my own life with God's help through people like you.

Hi Dr Berg, Over the past ten years I’ve had facial spasms on the left side that are uncomfortable and uncontrollable. Do you think this could be a B1 deficiency?
Well I have been to see my pcp, neurologist, chiropractor and orthopedic doctors for over a decade now. Not one of them ever mentioned b1. I have suffered with sciatica and neuropathy. I have never been diabetic or overweight. Now I finally have something I can do to try to remedy my issues. It makes me sad at the vastness of disconnect between treating doctors and their suffering patients. Another example of our nearly broken healthcare system. Thank you, Dr. Berg for giving me hope. You are a treasure.
Clearly profit based. They will obviously not want to prescribe B1 which will cost at most $10 and would rather have you on $1,000 drugs and intervention a month. Very sad.
The disconnect has been there for years its just that once they became one with Government it became very obvious of their intentions for profit by getting the Government to block the people in and if they were not well informed they just went along to get along.

@Jessica Price the nutritional yeast absolutely works for me with all the weird bizarre symptoms I was having! Took about 2 weeks using 2 Tablespoons a day, I got the Sari foods brand from Amazon, it's pricey but was recommended by Ryan Taylor out here on UA-cam, he does excellent videos too. 😊

Cheers!
@Jack Neals, best informative comment yet, thank you for sharing.

@@penultimania4295 how is a chiropractor not a doctor? They still have to have boards and licensing. I’ve learned FAR MORE from him than any other. And most anti depressants don’t work and actually cause more problems.

It’s calmed down now and I’m still tired; this is a long term chronic issue so I can’t expect it to work like magic. I haven’t taken it for a month even.

When someone failed their boards, it was offer about the nutritional
questions. About 40 years ago drs started being taught that all the old severe vitamin deficiency diseases were a thing of the past, with “modern”foods. I think that so many people were nutritionally
deficient before then was that so many immigrants-especially the famine ravaged Irish came to our country from place as they were near starving. Then the Great depression hit, & there was a lot severe food shortages because of the huge number of people out of work. So most professors assumed that with plenty of food since the fifties, that really severe vitamin shortages were a thing of the past.

THANK YOU
I will come back and let you know how it works !

This video, along with your others on B1 have been extremely helpful. I have been taking Thiamin EZ melts to help me sleep, a B-Complex and non-fortified nutritional yeast. I will go to the health food store and get the benfotiamine. All your recommendations make sense. I want to live a simple healthy lifestyle, getting my vitamins, etc. through foods, but I realize a deficiency calls for more. Thank you ~ Diane
This describes me 100%. I had gastric bypass in 2007. I am everything depleted. Your entire list describes me. I have fibromyalgia in my family also, but this make more sense. I wish you were my doctor. I feel as if I am 2 steps away from a hospital. 6 children after gastric bypass. I am falling apart from head to toe. I did not have a follow up dietitian either. I have been dealing with this on my own. 🤯 I desperately need help from someone in order to get my life back. 😩
Did you try the vitamin B1? If so are you feeling better?
I'm so sorry! Are you still trying to survive?
@sweetbeep Getting on track. New doctor. Found out I have Disk degenerative disease and lumbar issues. Mire test to come. My iron was deathly low at a 7. I had my first iron infusion last monday. My new doctor is great. I am getting lidocaine injections in my back for pain and also head for migraines. Those are working great too. Slowly but surely. 🥰

Also, sleep apnea!!! I had this for years but it wasn't the obstructive kind. I started taking 100 mg of B1 daily and it resolved within a week. Source: Thiamin Deficiency Disease, Dysautonomia, and High Calorie Malnutrition

@rubythecraftgirl7097 from what point? The insane mind problems and unusual sleep went mostly away in 3 months, almost overnight with the magnesium. This doctor really knows his stuff. I wish all doctors were so well informed.
He had mentioned because he's a chiropractor they have to go through much more extensive training than a regular MD. My chiropractor confirmed it. They understand and know more about the body.
Praise Jesus for this DOCTOR!!! He nailed it!!! 🙌🏻🙏🏼
I don't frequently comment but I really appreciate these Dr Berg videos. Also, I've had bouts of POTS for years and, more recently, nueropathy- just weird foot pain that may be related. I drink coffee (tannins and caffeine) and, from time to time, maybe too much sugar.
I'm gonna try the benfotiamine. Thanks, Dr Berg!
How’d this go for you? I have the exact same situation. POTS/dysautonomia/neuropathy, and drink coffee.
@@CryptoLTP5 I didn't notice a remarkable improvement so I didn't stick with it. Now I take Brewer's yeast for B vitamin and other nutritional benefit. But it's not very pleasant stirred into water but I'll still do it. Sometimes I stir it into vanilla yogurt to mask it. I would consider trying Benfotiamine again but IIRC it's not cheap.
All we can do is try and see and attempt to further research. On the whole my old symptoms are well-managed now. Could be the Brewer's yeast, could be the dried liver capsules (Dr Berg has a good video on liver as a superior "superfood" that is supposedly 2nd to none)

Hello Dr. Berg! I’ve been doing one meal a day for almost a year now. Your videos are really helpful to me. I just want to share something. One morning after drinking my coffee, gradually, i lost my hearing. It felt like echoing inside my ear. It’s like there’s pressure inside. I’ve been like that for the whole day. It only stopped and my hearing came back after I took Neurobion tablets. It’s Vitamin B complex supplement that’s available here in my place. So I just realized that I was Vit B deficient. Since then, I make sure to take Vit B every day and it never happen again.😊

Bottom line: STOP SUGAR and limit caffeine teas and pharmaceuticals.
If I had to do it all over again, I'd steer clear of sugary coffees and teas. The sugar/caffeine combo has absolutely wrecked my health, and I've had no luck quitting.
HPV is still part of the recommended vaccination schedule for children here in Washington State. They start offering it at age 11. MOST DOCTORS LET PEOPLE DIE EVERY DAY FROM LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, FROM NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO BEYOND HOSPITALS PROTOCOL OF TREATMENT. IF THEY COULD ONLY DO SOME RESEARCH ABOUT WHAT TO DO IN THE CASE OF PEOPLE DYING FROM HEART FAILURE THEY WILL BE CHOKING SURPRISED THAT ONE OR TOO EXTRA HIGH DOSES OF CERTAIN VITAMIN COULD HAVE SAVED MANY PATIENTS.
So very sorry about your mom. Sad.
So very true about the doctors!!
Added this to my supplements and my legs no longer feel like I'm getting MS.
THANK YOU!
Does taking B1 prevent damage to the myelin or can it reverse the damage I’ve already done?
People look to them for a magic pill to fix it than to change our ways and help ourselves with good nutrition etc.
Yes, you can be tested for Vitamin B1.
I just got back my result. Of course it was severely deficient.
The test is for an enzyme's activity.
Transketolase. If it's activities are low it indicates that B1 is in lack.
@@annjean8709 it's a intracellular test apparently for B1 not blood test as it's not accurate enough.
Thanks again for this presentation. Respect and Great! As a question but also as an addition to your presentation, it wouldn't surprise me that there is also a (causal) relationship between a lack of vitamin B1 and Tinnitus?!

Hi Dr Berg, Over the past ten years I’ve had facial spasms on the left side that are uncomfortable and uncontrollable. Do you think this could be a B1 deficiency?
I've got a left eye/cheek twitch
