This comment made me laugh. It's true bro. One day is one day...one of the most underrated brands in RSA. And the reliability of this vehicles is out of this world. I was looking at importing one. Saw an IS350SE for like R36000 from Japan, 43 000 kilometres on the clock. Can you believe it? But it will probably cost another R100K to import lol but that's still cheaper than buying a is350 with than milage in RSA.
I have a 2014 350isfsport. Love it to bits. Just drove 4600 kms around south africa in two weeks.

Don't think the G comment for the engine code is correct, G used to designate a wide angle intake valve head which Toyota typically used on their 'performance' engines. There are G engines which were designed/built in conjunction with Yamaha, but also others that were not, eg. 5M-GE. Nice vid, legendary car. I need to buy one...

Man it sucks that I want the ISF so bad. Not only is it 20k for an 08 with high mileage but the price to maintain is crazy. Meaning that I can cheap out on parts with this since it is a performance car and is very specific to what it needs. The is350 would be my choice just bc I can afford it. Plus it’s modifiable and tunable. Secondly I can cheap put on parts with it meaning that instead of going to autozone and telling them that I need a tb for my 350 I can just tell them it’s from a rav4 bc it’s literally the same engine. So yea I can switch parts around with other models that have the 2grfe engine which is most all Lexus and Toyota’s now
There really isn’t much you can do to the IS350 to make any significant gains

Sounds amazing, too bad it's not a manual. Would be a much more enjoyable experience if it was.
The gearing and linear power delivery for this car make sense with the 8-speed transmission. I wouldn't want it in a manual.
@@limitbreaker0000 almost all cars are more enjoyable with a manual. This isn't some mid-engined super car where a DCT makes complete sense. This is a sports sedan. The ISF was made to rival the M3. And no one can say the M3 is better with an auto or DCT. That's just not true, lol. Manual is the only way when we're talking about sporty cars.
I had the little brother, IS350 2012 and that's been a fantastic car to drive. In my mid life crisis I'd like to take on a IS F. Brilliant Niyaaz!!
