Sod that my Dad used to keep me up to watch it he loved it as a firefighter and so did I. I used to refuse to go to bed till I’d seen it or at least taped it on the VCR!
I loved this show and the ending tune is magnificent, I still love it. But hearing it still brings on the feelings of having to go back to school in the morning! 😂 If it wasn’t for the fact I hate heights, this show would have made me join the LFB instead of the Royal Navy.
Classictv90s : Didn't know he had died, that sucks - The original variation of this theme was composed by comedian and presenter, Roland Rivron and Brint and then Roddy Matthews came in later. One of the best TV themes ever.
However, the only problem was that the LWT endcaps you see at 2:02 - 2:10 were plastered over with the ITV Studios Global Entertainment logo, which did not exist at the time of broadcast and recording. How annoying.

The terror of hearing this and having to go straight to bed for School on Monday.
So true!
OMG it's so true lol

Amazing comment. I was thinking the same whenever that music was on
ALways made me sad when my mom, came in and said thats enough now, bed time.
Memories of hearing this knowing I had school in the morning
Always watched before going off to do a night duty.... I was always 10 minutes late. One of the best shows of its time.
Some serious nostalgia here. Sunday nights. Kid.
Back when we made proper tv
Yeah, LWT was superb.
What an ending. Lots of emotion from the boss and i don't even know what is going on. And the outro music fading in. Great stuff.
This is when we knew how to make proper tv, not like the dross on it now.

Poor Colin, that job he never had the chance to take on was made for him.
I watched this on Drama the other night, a UK satellite channel
However, the only problem was that the LWT endcaps you see at 2:02 - 2:10 were plastered over with the ITV Studios Global Entertainment logo, which did not exist at the time of broadcast and recording. How annoying.
