Damn, im sad to hear your not gonna post as much skate videos. Although im glad that your happy with your life. Just know that you were one of my favorite skate youtubers and even one of my favorite youtubers in general.❤️
It’s funny because my “dart” landed on skateboarding a few months ago and that’s where I found you. I really like your vibe. It’s nice to see content creators get real. The authenticity really shows in your videos.
I feel the same way whenever I get injured while skating. I recently tore some tissue in my foot and I've been going to the gym to work out and scratch that itch.
i was at first a little sad you stopped posting as much because your videos really helped me however i’m very happy you are letting go of these mental strains, your mental progress, and who you’re becoming. it’s also inspiring me to want to create content because honestly i’ve been “well he’s not posting… why don’t i make something to fulfill this want “ which might seem a little dumb but 🤷
Hey George, good job getting out there running. Ive been skating for just over a year but stopped almost entirely since I lost my sister in law as of April, she watched your videos with me. Please keep making videos, at least upon occasion, they are a great distraction.
I'm halfway through 12 weeks enforced confinement from skating after surgery 6ish weeks ago and have also had to find peace in myself and realise I'm so much more than just a skateboarder, many more facets and interests that are part of who I am... this is a well timed video and confirms I'm not the only person who has had to redefine myself after injury or illness where we can't skate for weeks/months..keep the good vibes coming George, love The letting Go podcast ❤ you and Danny have the raddest convos in life 😀 💙 ❤ 👍
I can see where you're coming from George. I feel like I was too attached to skateboarding, and content creating with skateboarding on UA-cam to where I kept on being impatient and just constantly feeling burned out and pushing myself too hard. Now on some days even if the weather is nice and I can't skate I'm okay with it sometimes cause I now know it okay to take a break. With UA-cam I ask myself if skateboarding content creating is the way to go. I've heard Bryan Arnett talk about the same things you're talking about. (The Old Bryan Arnett is back is a good example of a video explaining that) I wonder if I can really enjoy making skateboarding content on UA-cam and stay. I ask myself that a lot after seeing what you're channel has gone through. Maybe I'll just start uploading more on my second channel now and try to not limit myself. I've tried playing the piano, and learning to juggle to expand my horizons. I'm not quite sure where I am going with this anymore, but I think what I'm trying to say is you have the right ideas and philosophies with skateboarding and life and general and I enjoy that a lot. Keep doing what you love. I'm gonna stick around for it man. And I know others will too. 👊
Love to come back and watch your vids George you’re a super chill content creator and have inspired me to be calm and more focused on my life my thoughts and my passion for skateboarding keep it up and fresh set up!
Just thinking about your video. Haven't watched in awhile. Part of it is about adulthood and still skating while other transitioning to other forms of work or creative endeavors. It's great to hear about skate athletics and doing some resistance training that will protect your foot and body for the wear skating can have. If you are ever in Los Angeles, I'd love to meet ya! I'm a PT Aide and who wants to get back into skateboarding (safely though, not a spring chicken at 27).
I think a big part of it is letting go of the insecure notion that we have to be core skaters who only skate or die, yadda yadda etc. it got tiring for me, at least, and when I let go of what a skateboarder was “supposed” to be, it was a lot easier to just enjoy it
I landed 360 hard flip "F**K of fear heights"!! banks of uphill in LES Skatepark Coleman's playground. i will get soon GoPro Hero 9 Camera kits and supplies memory card usb -c next month.
with your sub numbers you can do what you like.... you can afford to lose a few and still make enough off the advertising... so yea freedom comes from having enough subs that you can afford to lose a few.....and if its about your life... and not skating.... you will lose some... thats life.
Yo I think that your a really talented skater and I really in joy watching your vids but it sounds like your losing your love for skating and putting it towards other things

So relatable! Whenever it’s a sunny day and I am not skating I feel guilty but this video really helped show me it us unnecessary❤️
