So glad Kurtis was on the show cuz I get to point out something I never seen mentioned. When they have a guest with a specific editing style, I've noticed that they'll mimic their style for specific parts of the interview. Kurtis has a very distinct style and there's a couple jokes that they edit it in his style. Yet another reason I love these videos. That attention to detail is very considerate.

I’m so glad this is finally here! Kurtis Connor has been one of my favorite UA-camrs since 2019, I was so excited to see him with my other favorite youtuber!
THE MAYOR!!! 🙌🙌 This is the same spark of joy I got from when I was a kid and Disney channel or Nickelodeon would have crossovers where characters from shows I love would be in another show I love for an episode or 2 😭
I’m from Toronto and saw what I think was one of Kurtis’ first few stand up performances. He was doing UA-cam videos back then but hadn’t done his own tour yet. It was at a small club in Toronto called Apt 200 for Valentine’s Day, and I think a friend of his was hosting the event. One of my friends was also performing, but I didn’t know Kurtis would be there till he went on! It was def a harder crowd bc I think I was the only one who recognized him from UA-cam there, but I made sure to give some whoops hollers and laughs. He was such a nice guy, we had a bit of an awkward hug and a small chat before I went back to see my friend. It’s so cool seeing how far he’s come to be selling out entire venues on his own now!
They both said that their videos that blew up and gave them a lot of attention, had women in the thumbnails so I’m taking a little moment to say thank you to those women and all women!! And of course, shout out to Anthony and kurtis for all of their dedication and all the awesome content over the years 💜 This was a great video as always!
As a Disney adult I approved of Kurtis’ video making fun of us 😂 We know we’re cringe but the Disney magic, nostalgia for better times and escapism hits different. It’s a feeling of perfection and joy all around and you can really appreciate the history, art and imagination within the parks too, it’s so immersive! But yes our childlike excitement is a bit OTT for some people and we make fun of ourselves probably more than anyone else does 😅
That’s the best attitude to have when you’re cringe. I’m super cringe, I just own it. Most of the time anything that’s super fun is cringe so who cares. I didn’t have a huge opinion on Disney adults before I started watching GoodTimeWithScar. He’s a Minecrafter (cringe, I’m a grown ass woman watching Minecraft let’s plays) but he really showed the joy in it all. He’s building a theme park in Minecraft currently and honestly, it’s almost like some Disney Adults have a more pure love of Disney than many kids.
Also it kinda makes sense? I feel like the parks are more family friendly than child friendly. I'm from southamerica and I traveled overseas to go to Disney World when I was 9 and I felt it was such a waste of money because apart from getting pictures with characters I didn't really enjoy a lot of it. I was too old for kiddie rides but too young and scared to get on thrill rides. Now as an adult I really want to go back! choose a better hotel, eat better food, see the new rides, appreciate the history of classic ones. it's like I know a lot more about Disney now as an adult than as a kid.
It’s true! I actually do love and appreciate disney more as an adult! When I was a kid I enjoyed it but it was just there as some cute movies and songs to me. I didn’t understand the rest of everything that makes true Disney magic
I love how this feels like friends joking and chatting together. I've been a fan of Kurtis Conner since 2018 and I'm so happy that he's gotten so much success (much deserved)! We love you Kurtis!
My mom is a disney adult and its because she had to grow up extremely fast, and had to start watching her newborn brothers at around 6 or 7. Her mom was never very present so I like to think she uses Disney as a way to really feel like she can live her childhood they way she wanted to.
Kurtis is by far one of my favorite UA-camrs, he's absolutely hilarious and has really changed my perspective on the commentary genre, in that he's so respectful to the communities he talks about. I'm very glad to have been subscribed for the past few years, and seeing how he has affected UA-cam commentary has been awesome :) ❤
FINALLY! Thank you Anthony for having one of the most interesting youtube channels; you always manage to grasp my full attention and fulfill my curiosity. Cant wait to watch this episode! I love Kurtis, hes the best mayor.
Kurtis Conner gives wholesome Dad in the 80’s vibe and I love it. Like seriously, with everything in the world and on the internet, Kurtis Conner is a breath of fresh air. ❤
This is SO EXCITING!!!!!!! I love Kurtis so much!!!!! Also for a future episode (and if they’re on good terms), I’d just love to see Anthony interview Ian just so we could get a reunion & also to see how much they’ve grown over the years if that makes sense 🥹🥹💕💕
So happy to see you sit down with Kurtis. I’m 100% sure I’m not the only one, but you both have made so many people smile even on their worst days. Kurtis has gotten me through a lot. He always makes me feel better with a laugh - and just watching his videos & reminding myself not to take myself and everything else so seriously. You both bring smiles to countless people’s faces. Keep it up! ❤️🔥
Yeah, I noticed that too! Usually on Anthony's channels it feels more interview styled, but that's all good because obviously that's his channel's genre. This video was different though cause Kurtis was also engaging Anthony in the conversation and asking him questions back which made it feel more cozy and conversational that the normal vibe from this channel. :D
I missed you Anthony, I haven't seen you since my younger days watching smosh. You came up in my feed and you have not changed. You are still as funny, humble, and amazing as before :') I hope life is good bro
anthony has interviewed danny gonzalez, drew gooden, and now kurtis conner! imagine being able to say you had the Holy Trinity of youtube on your channel
I wasn't a massive Smosh fan when I finally got internet, I gotta be honest. HOWEVER, the songs you guys did with I Set My Friends On Fire were some of the best things ever at the time. I couldn't get enough, always wished for more!! You guys turned me onto I Set My Friends On Fire for life, and I'll always be grateful for that.
This was SUCH a good video, you both have this awkward comedy thing going on in this video and it works so well, so awkward that it’s not yk? Favourite interview for sure. Also love that Kurtis can admit not many things have gone bad in his life, most people can’t admit things such as that, the way Kurtis handles himself is amazing and I have so much respect for him especially after this interview!
These two are so sweet 😂❤ It feels more like chilling on a couch together but following an interview format as like, just a silly thing to do together on a Thursday. This is fun!
It still amazes me that you and Ian don't seem to understand just how far YOU have reached with Smosh. You're both so sweet in that way that you find it SURPRISING that Kurtis Conner was a big fan... dude, you're a massive part of what shaped comedy on this platform. You and Ian need to give yourselves way more credit
Kurtis’s style and appearance make me feel more secure in everything that I like about myself. I think about how well liked and cool and kind he is whenever I start to feel bad about my style. I grew out my hair like I’ve wanted to for quite a while because I liked the way it looked on him. I keep my little mustache and don’t feel bad about it. I make goofy little jokes and get silly tattoos and quote videos of his regularly. He’s just such a comforting role model for a brand masculinity that isn’t cruel or unattainable or threatened by questioning. As a trans man, seeing public figures like him, (or Anthony Padilla, Jarvis Johnson, Jordan Adika, D’Angelo Wallace, Big Joel, and on and on), makes me feel safer in the world. That’s so valuable in times like these.
i've been watching kurtis since 2017/2018 and im very proud to see how much he's grown over the years :) people always get so excited when i tell them he's from hamilton/toronto. he's a hometown hero up here!
Kurtis's manager: your tour bus burnt down. Kurtis: haha that's hilarious Also Kurtis: my tour bus burnt down Kurtis fans: haha that's hilarious Kurtis: why is that funny? There's no joke there

@@truckerdave8465 i also really like disney and watch scar- i was so excited when he started the project
This genuinely gave me a better perspective on Disney adults. It’s a harmless thing
the smile after “conner-seur” really got me
It’s wild to know I’ve been subbed to Kurtis since the Country Girls video. So happy for him and his success.

Her mom was never very present so I like to think she uses Disney as a way to really feel like she can live her childhood they way she wanted to.
i’m sure that’s usually the case just like micheal jackson
Been waiting on this one! watching kurtis's rise on youtube is so wonderful, I've been a fan since 2018 and he is just such a light in the world
anthony it’s really cool to see all kids of new people on your show ❤️
My farts are better than Anthony’s farts

Love seeing a dedicated episode for Kurtis, he is such a great content creator!
Right away it's clear how well anthony is prepared for this interview, love that!
the little awkward smile and the silence after conner-sseur was so fucking funny to me
as someone at the SLC show, i had no idea that kurtis was suffering because his jokes were too funny
My farts are better than Anthony’s farts
Kurtis Conner gives wholesome Dad in the 80’s vibe and I love it. Like seriously, with everything in the world and on the internet, Kurtis Conner is a breath of fresh air. ❤
26:14 'rough go on that tour, eh?' that cadence was so deeply canadian rlly feels like home
im glad i can learn candian culture from this video. #representation
Two mullets two weeks in a row. Anthony is really giving a sign of his next hair commitment!
Keep it up! ❤️🔥
You guys have such great chemistry! Great episode :)
This is actually so chill, it just felt like two old friends chatting
Yeah, I noticed that too! Usually on Anthony's channels it feels more interview styled, but that's all good because obviously that's his channel's genre. This video was different though cause Kurtis was also engaging Anthony in the conversation and asking him questions back which made it feel more cozy and conversational that the normal vibe from this channel. :D
anthony’s got the bubble bath cut, we love it🌠
Im so glad your doing a video with Kurtis two of some of my favorite UA-camrs together 🎉🎉
My farts are better than Anthony’s farts
Kurtis* but yeah I agree with you
@@Savasaurus42 huh 🗣️💯🔥🔥🔥
I just started the video but just want to comment I saw Kurtis when he was on tour and it was such a great show. Hope he continues to do standup
i hope i get to see him in the future
This interview taught me that Kurtis has real-life elf ears so thank you. He is hilarious and magical.
Fr!
more like rat ears tbh
i love kurtis so much he's honestly the nicest human being i've ever seen
i have so much respect for them both. id like to think that i’ve grown alot from watching you guys.
the interview we needed and deserved
I missed you Anthony, I haven't seen you since my younger days watching smosh. You came up in my feed and you have not changed. You are still as funny, humble, and amazing as before :') I hope life is good bro
I love kurtis, my son and I went to see him on tour. We had such a good time. Fans for life. The Cure shirt just solidifies it.
the second kurtis said “golden oaks” i immediately said out loud “classy disney ❤️” ☠️☠️☠️☠️
anthony has interviewed danny gonzalez, drew gooden, and now kurtis conner! imagine being able to say you had the Holy Trinity of youtube on your channel
I'm proud to be a part of Kurtistown and a fan of Anthony. What an excellent interview.
I love interviews like these because you can tell both people are huge fans of the other
Two of my favorite creators by far 🙏🏻
I wasn't a massive Smosh fan when I finally got internet, I gotta be honest. HOWEVER, the songs you guys did with I Set My Friends On Fire were some of the best things ever at the time. I couldn't get enough, always wished for more!! You guys turned me onto I Set My Friends On Fire for life, and I'll always be grateful for that.
26:15 the most canadian kurtis has ever sounded
I love both of yalls videos love this collab
10:02 "what were you serving?" "looks ✨✨✨.... I got fired" had me CRYING
glad to see my mayor hangin’ out with anthony padilla
the collab we’ve all waited for. KURTIS AND ANTHONY AGH
Anthony! Your hair is reaching new levels every episode! I am ready for it to be sentient.
i love this interview so so much.. please have kurtis here again one day!
I love how they banter and bounce jokes off each other in SUPER creative ways
Kurtis's manager: your tour bus burnt down.
Kurtis: haha that's hilarious
Also Kurtis: my tour bus burnt down
Kurtis fans: haha that's hilarious
Kurtis: why is that funny? There's no joke there
24:42 that is sucha powerful and interesting way of thinking about tatts, thank u for saying it out loud it really changed my brain chemistry on the topic getting some
