There's actually a lot of paths in basically the entire game to sneak by everyone and not kill people so you definetly made this much harder on yourself than it could have been but that's normal for you :D
Fun fact for those who didn't play; Some of those scenes like the beginning rail track, you can actually save most of those people in time except the first. Helps with a 'hidden' mechanic for the Metro games.

Some examples would be like before you leave the station is playing the sitar (instrument) in your room or talking to the director before you leave.
I also love the implication that killing a muscular taupe the size of a lion, with a 15 centimeter knife should be easy, and it is only because you have a nerf knife that it take three hit

Metro has one of my favorite types of difficulty setting. Where bullet damage will increase across the board. So not only do enemies kill you in one or two hits, but you also kill then in one or two hits. That is, if you're playing on the higher difficulty.
I can’t have fun with Metro all because of it’s difficulty settings, which are stupid in my opinion. Not being able to see my fucking ammo on Ranger is idiotic.
@@chrism1518 If you bring up your lighter and clipboard, then you should be able to check your ammo. Unless you mean how much you have in your gun itself. You will either have to keep track for something like revolvers and shotguns or just get a feel for how much you have fired. Then again, you could always reload at any moment. I don't believe there is any reason not to.
This is something more games should do Instead of having sponge bullet enemies or just enemies that deals more damage and got more health Have everything be overpowered for everyone instead

@@dombhoy2658 I don't think it does damage until the point that it fully kills them, but what it does do is destroy their hard shell after you aim it at them enough, which makes them susceptible to normal bullets. If he considered killing with the flashlight "damage" then he could have done that.

I remember watching this video about a day after it was released, and I instantly wanted to play Metro 33. When I did it quickly became one of my favorites. I bought Last Light and Exodus as soon as I could, which further introduced me to other great games. I read all the Metro books by Glukhovsky, and it spurned a love of Russian literature which has stuck with me for years since. It's not an exaggeration to say this video changed my life. It didn't change it that much, but it was changed. You'll be missed, Paul.

Also, you can get the Librarian to shut up and go away if you look it in the eyes. Also, you can buy a fully-upgraded revolver at the very first station. Also, you can buy a stealth suit that makes remaining undetected completely trivial. Also, you can kill the bugs with the fucking *_flashlight._* Also, the silencer reduces your damage. Also, the extended barrel _increases_ your damage. Also, an extended barrel revolver is capable of killing a Demon with a single well-placed shot. It's not easy to do, but it can be done. I did it from a quarter mile away. I actually _did_ complete Metro 2033 with only the revolver (past the intro), on Ranger Hardcore. Because the number of things you're _required_ to shoot is actually very small. Quite a few chapters can be completed without firing a single shot. This isn't even about being smart, this is just about paying attention. Jesus fucking Christ.
Man, now that i think about it. Paul is immortalized by all his work thanks to the internet, his voice, his essence, each comment just make Paul's channel look like a mausoleum full of people who leaves his respects and kind words to him. You'd probably have an "easier" time finishing the game with just throwing knives. Tough, but you can collect them after throwing so ammo wouldn't be an issue.

Oh my god, he played an entire underground section with his broken gas-mask on. And in a challenge about saving revolver ammo, he chooses to have a firefight with all the fuckin' bandits instead of sneaking. Jeez

@@jan_Travis Was it the Redux or the OG version? If it was the OG one, totally justifiable because not only was stealth so fuckin hard in that game, but also there were no quick knock-outs OR even kills w/ the knife
And also, he didn't know that if you take lethal damage in the watchmen ambush in the prologue it advances the story. I only figured it out doing a tikhar only run.

@@dombhoy2658 I don't think it does damage until the point that it fully kills them, but what it does do is destroy their hard shell after you aim it at them enough, which makes them susceptible to normal bullets. If he considered killing with the flashlight "damage" then he could have done that.

I remember watching this video about a day after it was released, and I instantly wanted to play Metro 33. When I did it quickly became one of my favorites. I bought Last Light and Exodus as soon as I could, which further introduced me to other great games. I read all the Metro books by Glukhovsky, and it spurned a love of Russian literature which has stuck with me for years since. It's not an exaggeration to say this video changed my life. It didn't change it that much, but it was changed. You'll be missed, Paul.

Also, an extended barrel revolver is capable of killing a Demon with a single well-placed shot. It's not easy to do, but it can be done. I did it from a quarter mile away.
I actually _did_ complete Metro 2033 with only the revolver (past the intro), on Ranger Hardcore. Because the number of things you're _required_ to shoot is actually very small. Quite a few chapters can be completed without firing a single shot. This isn't even about being smart, this is just about paying attention. Jesus fucking Christ.
Man, now that i think about it. Paul is immortalized by all his work thanks to the internet, his voice, his essence, each comment just make Paul's channel look like a mausoleum full of people who leaves his respects and kind words to him.
