@@HerbaceousM8 he has a good song about being in jail, you should check it out
Good job on essentially telling lil dickie to give up on his dreams
Thanks for the 10, Logic
the horrible title aside, that album cover looks like shit
“An admission of failure” to Anthony is a multiple season, highly acclaimed comedy series. Ok dude.
bro imagine being a lil dicky fan lol go get some taste
Think he clearly said in the face of his music career bc he can't do both
Didn't he literally admit to just pretending to wanna be a rapper so he could sweeten a TV deal?
No, he said he wanted to branch out… if that where the case he had a really long plan. ‘Let’s become a rapper so I can make a story based on being a rapper’
Day 649 of commenting until Anthony Fantano reviews an album by Woodward and Parker
Okay but that Mr McAdams song is a bop
No it doesn’t , whose bumping lil dickey like he’s fire ? 😂
Me
@@tylerduncan5908 I’m Sorry that you’re going through that brotha
the show is SO good though
Did not expect my 3in1 soap to catch strays in this video
The show is actually really good though, that’s where his talents lie for sure.
Yea Dave season 3 was genuinely one of the best things I’ve watched in 2022
“I could go to the gym but, why?”
“I’m the new definition of Alpha male”
Like what?
Idk if I would call this an actual album from Lil dicky. This is just all of the songs from his show (which is actually pretty funny)
Can’t believe lil dicky wrote Russel Westbrook on a farm.
Anthony, I just wanted you to know that I am proud of you for coming out to us. I'm sorry you had to deal with this tho.
Diana Ross song in the background
Yeah I was surprised to learn he had an entire penis this whole time! Thought he was some android or something...
watch dave .. you’re disrespecting this a little too much
It’s literally a soundtrack to his TV show 😂
Then the show must suck bc this soundtrack is ass
@@ekuude it’s a comedy show
@@Nathanielwhite04And? Lol look, I kinda liked the first season of Dave but this album sucks. And even though it was meant as a companion to the show, the marketing sucked because it was released as if it were a standalone album. That's on them, not on the folks who don't get the connection to the show.
Oh and it's still not funny. Even the first time Dave said his album would be called _Penith,_ it wasn't funny. 🤷♂️ But I'm not a 9 yr old kid so...
@@Brendan-Black whats it like, being dead inside?
Reminder that when Anthony reviewed "Professional Rapper", people were getting up on his case, tried ratio-ing his review, and were actively DEFENDING Lil Dicky as being actually funny
There are people in this very video's comments section doing the same. Upset that Ol' Tony Faint Anus didn't like this shitty album.
Mainly white middle-class suburbanite teenage & 20-something dudebros who like the ol' "lyrical spiritual/lyrical miracle" type of rap.
Ok? I'm sure they still feel the same way.
Lil Dicky IS funny. Interviews, the TV show, a number of his songs are quite funny. Not a great album, but I can't trust anybody trying to take 'funny' away from him.
Listening to Jail (pt. 1) was a soul-crushing experience
Kareem Abdul jabbar was worse than Kareem Abdul jabbars 3 point shot
9 minutes of the worst shit ever 😂
It was funny to me. Dumb, but funny.
Casual fan here. This project feels more like a soundtrack to the show rather than an album. Not sure this deserved a “NOT GOOD”. It’s not that terrible
I honestly didn't know this came out until I saw Brad Taste In Music's reaction to it and all I Can say is that I saw this NOT GOOD coming from a mile away and I definitely agree with it.
Not a fan of this album, but the whole point of the naming the album Penith on the show is that it was ridiculous and dumb. Like these are songs made specifically to fit a storyline of a show. Not to be taking on its own.
Did Mike Tyson serve as inspiration for this title?
Lil Dicky literally said he was a comedian and he just used his music as a way to connect with his fans and expand on his comedy of course he made a TV show he doesn’t see himself as a rapper and that’s okay
Harrison Ave, Going Gray and Mr. McAdams are all good stuff.
I cant wait for the spoof of this review on the next season of dave
A celebration of White Meritocracy and Arrested Development.... GODDAMN!!!
That critique was Shakespearean.
Harrison Ave is a banger though ngl
“The most profitable thing you can sell the public is mid” goes too hard for a simple example
His music video ‘Hahaha’ is literally about this topic… maybe ya’ll are the problem
@@awasteofspace-man2668 just quoting Anthony bro
@@nurmeister regardless, wouldn’t quote the guy that says white people aren’t allowed to rap
@@awasteofspace-man2668 that’s his opinion bro, and for reference I enjoyed the HAHAHA/I Love Myself video
@@nurmeister it’s a opinion he contradicts by just saying ‘but mnm okay’… this comes across as a ‘hit piece’ bashing on songs he refused to get context for because he didn’t like a show. Imagine reviewing a Album, or reviewing a Soundtrack for a show but refusing to watch sed show and then proceed to call the soundtrack trash because he doesn’t get any context.
Like the song ‘no fruits and vegs’ is just there so it can set the stage for an episode.
You would've given this a 10 if it was called "My Dark Twisted Penith"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA not funny
