Good Evening Amy & Eric. Never waste charcoal heat when marshmallows are handy. The beef looked amazing. I have never used a charcoal chimney lighter. Did you light the charcoal with just paper, or were they pre-soaked with lighter fluid?

Hey Patricia!!! How are you doing? Glad you stayed to watch the ending. LOL. Thank you. The meat was great. I'm still cutting chunks. It's almost all gone, but was very tasty. When using charcoal and a chimney, I always use a few sheets of newspaper. I never use lighter fluid in my smokers and grills. Taste the Food, Not the Fuel! I only use lighter fluid on camp fires! I don't use Match Light! I hope that makes sense. Thank you for watching. We appreciate it. Stay safe!!!!!

This was our first 'offical' use of the new smoker. I just happened to have a chuck roast willing to volunteer for this video. Hope you all enjoyed watching it.

How long did you smoke it?

    • @EricLearnstoCook

Thank you for watching. It was in the smoker for around four hours. I didn't really time it as I was more focused on monitoring the internal temp of the meat. I foiled the meat when it hit 150 degrees internal temp. By then, it had enough smoke. I didn't want to risk it getting too much smoke.

Great video, Eric and Amy. That meat looked great. I bet it's gone now.

Thanks John. Yup. Meat only lasted three days, and that's because I showed it some mercy. I was lazy on most of it. Didn't bother to reheat it. Just sliced and snacked on it.

Amy likes campfires, even if they're on our back yard.
