1. It is awesome that you had a soft-top gazebo last for 15 years. 2. I applaud you for having the teenagers work with their hands and problem-solve. Good parenting right there.
We put one up. I anchored the posts in concrete Sonotube. A little time consuming with only my wife. We’re in our 70s. Really nicely engineered. But keep it squared to help all the holes line up. We’re happy.
Glad it helped. No regrets on this project. The upgrade works out much better for us. Now all you need to do is add some LED lighting... ua-cam.com/video/Cj_g47tRYww/v-deo.html
@@MakeItorBreakItNow I read someone complaining how loud the any level of rain is under this thing to the point where they were really put off. I'm also curious about a video of it
I have purchased same. The contractor is putting in concrete post in ground. How much exact distance needed between each ground post? Really great video sir. Love and blessing to you ,kids and family!
Thanks for the great comment. Post or pads? You might be able to get away with some block from Lowes or Home Depot... 8 ft 7 in center to center on mine for the post.
My pleasure! You might also be interested in this LED lighting video we adding last year, these also work great once you figure out the app: ua-cam.com/video/Cj_g47tRYww/v-deo.html
Its not anchored except for its weight. We've have over +60 mph winds since we put this in place and doesn't move. Its also contained in the railing around the deck.
okay the post outside to outside are 8 ft 9 in, there's a square base on the bottom that goes out another 2 inches outside of the post, so on my deck it's out to 9 ft 1in. but the roof extends out to 10 ft X 10ft
You used one of the rubber washer/spacers on top to screw the roof down, what spacer did you use underneath? An additional rubber spacer or just one of the plain metal spacers?
Very similar to this one: amzn.to/46ZjAD8 Although I got the home depot version: Hampton-Bay-10-ft-x-10-ft-Holden-Outdoor-Patio-Black-Hard-Top-Galvanized-Steel-Gazebo
Parking it that close to a window will cause some issues. Interesting previous installation with zip ties. I've been in the building trades for three decades. You have allot going on there. I would not recommend your installation to others. But if it works for you more power to yah.

Thanks, on both counts. They're turning out to be interested in all sorts of projects now.
What a great and fun dad! 😎 Quality time with your kids they will not forget! 🥰 Made me a subscriber😉👍
Thanks for the sub! Yeah sometimes they seem to get annoyed with me but overall we're pretty tight as families go.

Stephen, great point about the hole, thanks for sharing. Agree, these gazebos are made to last...
Funny, I'm replacing the same soft top gazebo with the hard top from HD. Appreciate the video.

Will you follow up with video of rain under gazebo. Thanks
will, look for a #short video next time it rains.

Looks great! What’s the dimension of the deck from the house to the railing?
In that area just over 10 ft.
Thank you for this video.

Wonder if there was any adjustment that can be made to the posts for un even ground?
Sure, you could get some pavers, flat stones, and bury some or all, depending on how much adjusting you need.
Great video. Just bought the same gazebo, how did you anchor down the gazebo to the deck?
Its not anchored except for its weight. We've have over +60 mph winds since we put this in place and doesn't move. Its also contained in the railing around the deck.
I wish you could help me with mine. I'm scared to do this with no experience
The directions are fairly straight forward. Get a couple of friends who like to put things together, buy them pizza and have a build party.
The measurements between two post pls because i have are 10 x10 and i need to see the measurement between two pst

The best part of building one of these is looking down and seeing there are no more screws and washers left😂
That's for sure...
What is the name of app foe step by step directions
Most likely its BILT
Unfortunately I deleted the app when I finished the build, but BILT sounds right.

It was awesome that you had the boys helping you put up that gazebo, but this video was absolutely no help, if someone was putting up this gazebo.
Thanks Corey for the feedback, interesting. Always a challenge to figure out how much to share...
Great parenting.
Thanks, they're turning out to be great people...

Interesting comments, just followed the installation instructions.
@@MakeItorBreakItNow That person is obviously CLUELESS and must show it....
Like just for making the kids do some work 😂
They had a good time, like a giant puzzle. They still talk about how fun it was...
Hope the window is ok lol
It is, thanks for asking.
Just like the old one - water draining against your house and window. Dumb & dumber.
True, but the rain makes a nice sound on this roof, working on a gutter system...
What gutter system? (7:34)
