Do AEW Fans HATE Casual Fans?

- Mish dramatically reads an article from Joe from VOW about his hatred of WWE, casual fans, and apparently Raj Giri while discussing how companies cannot grow without customers or "new fans".

The nerd from the original Powerpuff Girls. Kudos to the artist that creates your thumbnail. Fits the cultist rant perfectly.
GET LENNY, GET LENNY!
DeeJay is the man.
As soon as I had the clip idea I KNEW that the creepy Powerpuff need was the guy.
And the world of warcraft guy on southpark
Love Wrestling Soup! I could listen to you guys all day. Thx for years of content boys!
Great stuff! Finally I get something longer than 10 minutes. More like this, please. 😀👍
Tony Khan not resigning Cody Rhodes who was a major founding pillar of the very concept of AEW was the first major mistake.
This video was golden. Article is completely ridiculous.
Glad Wrestling soup has returned to UA-cam recently. Didn't see you guys posting on here for years!
I am a proud Mish casual fan! 😂
I'm pretty sure there's a TK interview (or one of the EVPs) from very early on where they scoffed at the idea of casual fans and how they don't want people that are just going to stick around when times are hot or turn off during big sporting events. So, I believe this is a very real thing backstage at AEW. They either don't care to have casual fans or they think the idea of having them is pointless.
And that's what will collaspe there company in the future. There own stupidity and hubris
in the end they settled on some 800,000 people with autism
I'm a casual wrestling fan
They hate pretty much all humans because most humans dont know what AEW is and they really hate those who know what it is but refuse to give it five stars.
Spot on guys! I like how you guys are unbiased with AEW. I can’t stand listening to Meltzer and Alvarez. They are so biased toward AEW it’s sickening. They never find any fault in anything AEW does!
It’s nauseating
@@markfroman738 WHY ?? THEY ENJOY AEW WATS WRONG WITH THAT
@@DavidCoombs-k2h *getting paid by AEW
they dont they get money. not a single person sat through the monday night wars and didnt have boring or bad bits to put up with. but magically AEW is never boring allegedly or bad.@@DavidCoombs-k2h
add wrestling with wregret solomonster and a few others like nash who get pumped up monetarily by Tiny Khan't@@markfroman738
Where's his proof of this supposed viewership growth? He didn't even give a number to back himself up.
Who needs proof when you can just say things?
@@WRESTLINGSOUP2010 I mean I guess I just don't get that mentality. I like to at least try to ground myself in fact.
@@Treklosopher That's what you call a cult mentality.
Honestly I'm glad for their gatekeeping. I know wrestling's basically dead, but I hope to God casual audiences never see what they're calling wrestling these days.
AEW is built from top to bottom for the hardcore, Wrestling Observer reading fans that complained about John Cena's push for 10 years. Tony Khan isn't interesting in appealing to people that don't watch New Japan or vote in The Observer Awards. That's literally the point of AEW and always has been.
As a 2000 born, I m a Casual
fan for life.
This video could also be titled "The Solomonster Sounds Off group fan page on Facebook in a nutshell"
I’m in that group and everyone is so sensitive when it comes to any subject of AEW being dogshit 😂😂
The best point made here was about Danhausen…my brother (who doesn’t watch wrestling) saw him and said “wrestling is at an all time low, isn’t it?”
Lol very true , also funny that his partner Hook is meant to be a bad ass and a killer yet looks like a 14 year boy who's just woke up
@@Skullduggerydodo Funny thing is Hook was starting to get some buzz and then they pair him with a goof... Something that if WWE did it these same fans would be saying Hook is ruined forever and should go to AEW immediately.
Actually, maybe if Hook was a former WWE superstar and about 15 years older he'd probably be getting a huge push right now.
This is pretty much why wrestling is in the fucking toilet. I don’t see it making a comeback honestly.
Crazy what can happen in a year.
@@ultraman5168 I know, though WWE is in a resurgence. AEW feels like it’s still going down.
AEW cater really to 2 people.... tony khan and dave meltzer! The wrestlers only try to do 5 star matches to appease dave. They care very little about what the audience want to see it's what tk wants to see. The bucks care about holding down every tag team down so they can be seen as the best tag team ever. Sadly they are no where near close every time I watch a bucks match its a car crash. And with regards to omega its just how many highspots can I fit in one match I'm on the cornette opinion of twinkletoes mcfingerbang. I think he's jerky and does the most ridiculous facial expressions ever
To quote Brian last.. dave meltzer is like the old man at a kpop concert! Maybe he should book a wrestling organisation. Its like he needs non stop excitement which is basically escalating high spot after high spot to the point where someone gets killed
this is spot on. then when someone dies theyll play the candlelit/phone light vigil change their social media profile pictures for 7 days then forget about it.
There’s a smugness to them of like “oh you’ve never even watched new Japan” (even though they haven’t either other than clips) and this is shown in their product where guys debut without a build. Also, there’s a significant lack of a “cool factor” in their product, where guys who watch UFC, football etc come across a wrestling show and think “who’s this guy” and live vicariously through them. TK has no clue at all what really works and has surrounded himself with yes men like Jericho who are milking him for money before they go back for a HOF WWE run
Tony Khan makes it really hard to even like AEW dudes crazy and I don’t get why people have to be either a WWE or AEW fans I’ve always just watched the people I like regardless of the company I was really excited when AEW brought Punk in but I also like Edge and AJ styles and guys in impact like Bryan Myers and Matt Cardona just watch the people you actually like instead of being loyal to Khan or Vince
I agree both you. YOU NEED GROWTH IN BUSINESS . It is Business 101.
AEW needs to be more streamlined. It is all over the place. Invest time and energy into two or three main storylines. Push towards creating the next Rock or Steve Austin.
@sonu malik All the storylines are still overly chaotic. And until the mainstream thinks all those wrestlers are equivalent to the 90s megastars AEW will just be considered a more niche nerdy version of WWE.
I think all the casual fans left in 2016. Each of those shows, AEW and Raw, can barely hit a million views.
I don't consider myself a mark or a "casual", I'm pretty much in the middle. But I guess i'm more of a lapsed fan since i don't watch any modern wrestling and haven't for a couple years.
I didn’t know Kenny was the cleaner in Japan. I had no idea why he came out with a broom. I didn’t know Punk came out to his old ROH music when he wrestled MJF. No one tells us.
They expect us to follow new Japan, ROH history, and know all the indies.
No one explains anything to us. They expect us to know. I don’t know when guys tagged in the indies. I don’t know when guys fought in the indies. You have to tell me.
Someone shows up and sock face yells his name like I’m supposed to know who they are. Like Luther or pizza cutter guy. I don’t know any of them. You have to tell me who they are.
Look it up?
@@svekkapung No.
Pspower summed it up perfectly in his previous video.
Crazy. WS called this a year ago, and O’Shea Jackson brought it to light a year later
I wish we could clam to have some sort of serious prophetic powers but realistically this has been clear to anyone being honest with themselves from the jump. It’s unfortunate and not something anyone should take pleasure in but it’s just the way it is.
Wrestling as a whole is already a particular audience
Lmfao, who is the nerd that wrote the article? It's gotta be a joke. It has to be.
Nope it’s real
@@madmex989 that makes me laugh and cry
I’m a casual fan. I don’t have time to watch a million indie shows a week. I watch the one or two shows a week if I have time. If I don’t I’ll watch some videos during the week when I have time to know what’s going.
It’s one thing if your company’s budget is scaled to the audience you have and you can profit off that. But if you’re spending money like AEW does, you NEED the casual audience to survive or you will fail. I don’t want that. No one wants that. And it’s just small things they need to change to have the casual audience keep up. I don’t want to spend my free time on Reddit and cagematch to understand who the people on the show are. Just give me a little promo or video package to explain who some of these people are are. Little things. I find it harder and harder to watch each week because I don’t have a reason to care about the people on the show.
Would love to hear if AEW fans still think this amazing company of theirs is "growing anyway"😊
The crazy thing is ive been watching wrestling for 30 years and because i dont know some indy wrestler who doesnt even get a video package it means i dont know anything and im xenophobic
Is AEW like the stonecutters from the Simpsons? You know to be a fan you have to be a son of one or save the life of a AEW fan
It's more like Comic Book Guy's store if he thought he was as cool as the Stonecutters.

A year later, hasnt gotten better. Dream matches between some random jobber and a guy I cant pronounce the name of from some promotion in some country I never think about
AEW fans don’t want casual fans. They treat this company like their little clubhouse. They don’t want outsiders to be a part of it.
I like wrestling in general but WWE is my main platform
Hell yeah they do
You not allowed to know about sabu 😂
Casual fans suck
let AEW be different and they had celebrity on the show before
And where has that got you in the last year? Other than feeling extremely lucky that WWE didn't sign with Warner Bros?
AEW fans are the cringiest of the cringy
