couldnt have said it better myself. Ive been with Dt kev castle, solomonster and wrestling soup since 2010 in the days of tvtrax for my tvtrax guys. Its hard to believe how much time has went by and changed since then, In a lot of ways I grew up with these guys without ever meeting them.
TVTrax haha. That's how I found all these guys, but back then Kev used to interupt and talk over DT all the time!
Credit to Kevin Castle for being a good moderator and really helping the conversation along without taking a bias even tho there’s a history there with DT. Mish, stick with Kev, Joe and Jon. You 4 are tremendous together and I’m proud to keep listening
This is an Awesome Group/Bunch of People (Hardcore and/or Casual Wrestling Fans Podcast Staff), outside of "the DT (Don Tony) Show."
I’ve listened to DT & KC since 2005 and Mish & Joey since 2011 so this situation sucks but hope it works out in everyone’s best interest going forward. All you guys have given countless hours of entertainment so appreciate you regardless.
I have a confession- I don’t even watch wrestling. I listen to your shows for the pop of childhood nostalgia that comes out in the banter. The shows were so comforting when my parents died, and when I had a really bad accident and was in a lot of pain. It was time I didn’t have to think for a few hours. I still listen years later. I’ve appreciated everything over the years. Love you Kevin Jon & Joey! ❤️
I also gave up watching wrestling almost a decade ago, yet still listen to podcasts.
I think of it like the Grandpa in The Lost Boys thinks of TV Guide. As long as I have wrestling podcasts, I don't need wrestling.
Without TVTRAX I wouldn’t have found Don Tony, without Don Tony I wouldn’t have found Soup…

When you've alienated Mish from your inner circle, I think you've lost the plot. I'm glad Mish got to talk about this in detail last week, and I hope it was therapeutic for him.

@@ryankeefe6222 I listened to a show here and there after being away for a few years, didn't think much of it because wrestling was so stale, came back to listen again, heard Kev was gone and now MIsh. Wow lol. Miss those good days that's Mish was talking about from a decade ago especially the 3+ hour wrestlemania dual show specials.
I have no problem with Don Tony but if his shows are gonna be just him alone I probably won't listen as much. I just dont like solo podcasts I'd rather listen to a conversation. That's why I've always like Wrestling Soup better...

I like Don Tony, but he went PC. Years back he was outspoken and often brutal.
Damn the boys broke up, haven't listened since March 2020 because I was done watching wrestling, glad I got to meet everyone at Lucky 13's.
I stopped listening at the same time because of DT's personality change.
I respect the work DT puts in but without KC or Mish I couldn't do it. Every show he has to mention how he did some mark work for ECW, he's been doing this before anyone and goofy podcasts
DT is hella arrogant & turns every single talking point into a story about him. I remember the childish faces he would make when he didnt like what Kevin Castle was saying on the DTKC Show. Got to the point where it was too cringe to even watch.
And Kev again is glad to see you still in the loop. And yes you deserve the recognition for stepping your pod game up. That's what i assumed was the problem with you and DT. Based on how he would phrase things on the show. It's weirdly nice to know it was what it was versus what was being said about you. You found your lane so it seems like everyone is all good.
I discovered DT and KC years ago on TVTRAX.

I’ll be quite honest, I’ve never really cared for DT. The way his mic is hotter than a thousand suns, his corny jokes and skits, his constant need to be the center of attention, it was a lot of negatives that I find in people. He’s hypocritical, he’s self absorbed, and I’ve never had the patience to sit through his bullshit shows and listen to his obnoxious ass voice. I wouldnt sweat this dude. You did the right thing 1000%

Never was a fan of DT. He try’s to hard to give opinions that he wants to make facts. So others opinions don’t mean nothing. If someone says “This years WM will be great cause….” DT will come in & make your opinion feel worthless. DT is a Mark for himself.
When Don Tony wanted to do the UA-cam show & Kevin wasn't interested. You just knew it was the beginning of the end of their show. A little surprised what happened with Mish. I can't say I don't blame them from breaking off from Don Tony. I've been listening to them since day one. But let's face it DT can be arrogant , toxic, & immature. Never cared for Joey Numbas. I've always felt he dragged politics with wrestling & always from a Liberal point of view.

This is sad. I've been listening from 2007-2015-ish. To me, Kevin and Mish was who kept me listening. Great co-host. I'm recently coming back to WS and Don Tony show. DT changed, I don't know what happened. I remember when he had a show with Masked Maniac, who was a totally insecure meathead.
How has he changed?
@@thegreenhenryshow8809 I have no clue what he’s talking about. I’ve been watching DT for 10+ years and I haven’t noticed any negative changes in the way he presents the show. He’s been more adamant about not letting a co host stop him from opportunities like the move to UA-cam, joining the networks etc… He’s eased up on the language because of UA-cam and being on networks but that’s not a bad thing.
This video always makes me sad the original dtkc set up really got me through some hard times and when mish came it felt weird but he grew on me. I loved the show dynamic I ended up falling off from podcast for a few months but when I came back the whole crew split and not having all the information sucks but not having the crew sucks worse but things dipped in gold never grow 💯

Honestly I tuned out of DTKC because of DT. He started getting way to political and coming off like the other DT or Alex Jones kind of host and it just took me out of the show.
That's why i don't listen to jim cornette as he gets his little bs political digs in there. Really don't get why i guy who is so naturaly politicaly incorrect as a personality and loved a traditionaly politicaly incorrect business, seems to love the very people and party who are in favour of political correctness and hates anyone who is in favour of getting rid or at least tonning down the amount of it there is so he can have a climate where your allowed to slightly offend again. He calls them names & stuff and yet kisses the asses of the ones who are killing the business he loves. As pc'ness and pro wrestling are like oil & water they just do not mix!

I've had my own experiences with "break ups" with online friends. Made my piece and left a discord server and I ended up being aggressively alienated and got the Chris Benoit treatment from people I thought were my friends. II'm not sure if my situation is similar to yours but I hope your friendships and mental health survive this ordeal.

I clicked this cause I saw his name and I can't believe there's still drama with him. DT was and always will be a clown. I remember being completely turned off by his insecurity and arrogance while listening via TV Trax. I made a comment on a YT video once and he replied to my comment and lost his mind cause it differed in opinion from his.
Thank god TV Trax also introduced me to The Solomonster. Been listening to him for over a decade.

It's Jan 6th as I'm writing this. I don't listen to DT anymore. Has he taken shots at Mish and Kev since this I'm confused!? I listen to everything WS on the free feed (sorry boys) and ib thought everything was civil but I can sense there's some negative energy!
BTW the soup boys and Kevin and Draper filled a whole for me when O&A went away when Cumia lost his mind on Twitter! Wreslting Soup & Legion of Skanks picked up my broken Fandom pieces

I swear I'm like what's the problem?🤷♂️ From the outside looking in. I only assumed mush was on the show because whatever happened with Kev leaving. Which in glad to see Kev still around and with the crew. Which made me further assume that. Whatever led to Kev not being on the DTCK show. Mush was kids just helping transition DT into the current format that he's doing. Then eventually you would go back to soup full time. But overall i assumed that you ALL were and are still a group. While i didn't hear the DT side of things. I'm with you Mish. You gave a 2 weeks notice. Outside of a whole month what more could DT want 🤷♂️? I started to get a lil confused because you were on Mondays so much. Is the a permanent thing? Which in my opinion was fine. But going off of your words. You weren't as well received as I assumed you would. I just hope overall that you guys all work it out and be cool if you can. But after watching DT for years (not as long as most but long enough), to know that he has a way. I think deep down he's a great caring dude. But he does have traits that lead to basically where he is now. Yes successful, probably more than he's ever been. But at what cost? I was glad when Mish came. Because Kev leaving changed the show. DT lends himself to a neiche audience that can stomach just him. Again not downing the path that he takes. If it works for him then so be it. However even though it's podcasting, DT has them traits along the lines of bill gates, jeff besos, and most other Higley "successful" people. You step on those that help you on the way up. And again but blaming him because it's happened to him also. And maybe he just chose to join the darks side. That old school mentality has people thinking being cut throat is what you need to do to get ahead. When moisten thinking shows that there is enough for everybody. But that old school mentality doesn't process that.

There was a lot of stuff. Everything from Kevin talking shit behind dts back and someone screenshooting the messages then sending it. Plus Kevin didn’t want to do videos

I like everyone involved but as someone who isn't aware of whatever else happened, the way Mish handled this in the moment seemed unbelievably callous and unprofessional.
Sure. After working with a guy for 16 years I deserved to be thrown off the show for wanting to put in a 2 week notice, because it wasn't done on "his time". Thanks for your insight.
@WRESTLING SOUP I was describing how it felt as an outsider, with no knowledge of anything going on behind the scenes, to see things go down the way they went. Not casting blame on you, just saying "this was how it came off in the moment."
Mish I know you're a good dude, I've been a fan of the show for years for a reason. Way more of a Soup and Solomonster fan than a DT fan by far. Just saying what my initial reaction was, and hopefully giving a bit of insight as to why some people may have reacted more viscerally in the moment than you may have expected. Being a Soup fan and DT listener for as long as I have (back to the early days of that old UA-cam channel that used to upload clips of you guys, DT/KC and Jason almost a decade ago now), I knew better than to cast aspersions or make any hard-core value judgements. I'm just saying, IN THE MOMENT, it felt like you dealt DT a gut punch out of nowhere. I follow Soup while not DT as much anymore (he's got a good thing going but his style now is a bit too attention-commanding for what I use podcasts as), but this came up as a recommended vid after your recent Nick Aldis discussion and it just reminded me of when this all first happened

I think people are just wired up this way they see something end so there must be drama and they need to be told everything in black and white instead of being like oooh that sucks ,they try solve the puzzle and try fit pieces together that don't match and explain it amounts themselves. People feel there owned a explanation when in fact they don't it's not our business
I go back all the way to the hotline days of DT. 303-4444 I remember the minority roundtable wrestling show and all that. My favorite shows were the DT, Kev and Mish shows.

I like to listen to Don Tony show but he changed so much. I felt Don Tony became the ego of this family. Now he is the big shit of his UA-cam channel. After 25 years of listening to his shows it is his fault that he wants to ramble for 3 hours. Some of his shit could be shorten. I switched to listening to JD. He sound more interesting just like me when I say a show sucks it does suck.

Obviously a huge behind the scenes bust up that's happened. This guy has left don tony in the lurch. There has been a big argument about it & one of them has to go and tony aint backing down so this "thumbnail" has left im a huff. Or perhaps they are working us that it's a "retirement" angle. I do not buy it for a second. It could all just be a work and then he will have a come back right in the middle of one of the shows. Tony will now bash him now lol but quite rightly! As honestly he should have written him an email or put in a formal request to leave and not leaving him in the lurch, that's pretty shitty
