since you were jamming so much to the structure to this one, "Mediator" might tickle your fancy as well.
if big shifts/change-ups are something you like, you're in for a treat. "Cloud Factory", "Teacher, Teacher", "I Speak Astronomy", and "Home Back" are some of my favs for expansive musical journeys (and yet manage to keep them all in under 5-minutes).
If you want to see their soft side, "Wallflower" is an intimate masterpiece.
    Keep on rockin'

Yeah they have 4 albums and several EPs all with great and very unique music. And a new one coming out either late this year or early next year that is said to be very heavy and melodic - the guys started composing the music during and shortly after their time stuck in Kyiv under siege. I can hardly imagine a more metal genesis for an album. I cant recommend concert performances highly enough. There are just a few OMVs that haven't been eclipsed by a concert video - Teacher Teacher, I Speak Astronomy, Vortex, and this one being notable. Id recommend Perennial at Wacken for something lighter, who Is Gonna Be The One official for something heavier, or On The Top Live in Kiev (now Kyiv) for something in the middle. Subbed. Cheers!

I will add a lot of those to the list thank you! Perennial at Wacken is actually the next Jinjer video I will be uploading 🙂
The new album is probably going to a rough ride to say the least, especially if those are the circumstances surrounding the writing of it!

Jinjer is absolutely not a standard metal band, they are sooooooooooooooooo much more, you will see and hear that in the future........

Just Jinjer doing Jinjer things, as we fans say. They are " metalcore" according to the press, but we know better. They are just Jinjer, where no sound is off limits. Subbed.

Again I really enjoyed this reaction and analysis, from a fellow Brit too.
You've probably been told this already, they're from Ukraine, their current lineup is:
    Tatiana on Vocals,
    Eugene is the Bassist,
    Roman on Guitar,
    Vlad is the Drummer.
This is an older track with their previous Drummer, Dimitry Kim, this is the track which got them noticed by Napalm Records their current record company.
I'm off to check out your next reaction to this great band.

Thanks for viewing! There are only 3 on the channel at the moment but there will be more! Finishing the Sleep Token journey is the priority at the moment but once that is over, the Jinjer journey will take its place as the daily upload. For now though, Outlander will be up in a couple of days 🙂

@@BraindeadBreakdownThat's okay, no rush, Sleep Token are a great band too. 'Outlander' is a pretty good track by Jinjer many people like it a lot, it's not one of my favourites by them but that's not to say that it isn't good.

Al;l Hail Queen Tati! Dude! You're looking down a very, very deep hole! I have not heard one track that they phoned it in. Every song feels cared for, thought through and no one doing more then what is needed! Then in walks Tati! She is notorious for writing lyrics week of, night before or standing in the booth day of recording! The latest album, Wallflowers (Absolutly next level shit), she wrote it and had all principal tracks down in three days! Took day off wrapped in 5! they cmpose music and hand it to her! Incredible!! So many to list, but a couple that still hit me right in the feels:
Pit of Consciousness- live in Kiev
    Retrospection- Alive in Melbourne

    • @BraindeadBreakdown

I have only heard 3 of their songs so far and based on those, I would say you are right. They don't phone it in, they give it 100% every time.

They started out as a five piece band. WHen they went to four Roman, the guitarist, and Eugene, the bassist do a lot of interesting things to fill out the sound. Lots of slap/tap bass and inversions to create a full sound. Very cool. Best band I've heard in many years.

Careful Jinjer can be very addictive and Tati is easy to fall in love with. The Jinjer rabbit hole awaits.

They do have heavier songs, but this is probably the heaviest that has a video. Love this song. Wish she'd kept the dreads though.
    .
Groove? Put it this way - you will likely NEVER see Eugene using a pick to play bass. Most metal you can barely hear the bass, but not Jinjer! You'll probably also never hear a solos in a Jinjer song, of any kind. I certainly can't think of one. Every single member is integral to every single note of every single song.
    .
I have this theory, you see. Both Tatiana were born in early 1987 in Ukraine. Can you remember what happened in Ukraine in mid-1986?
Sometimes, it *does* give you superpowers...🤔

    • @BraindeadBreakdown
      @BraindeadBreakdown  9 місяців тому

I love the fact the bassist uses fingerstyle techniques. Anyone that claims you need a pick to be heard in metal just needs to hear Eugene!
It was a little before my time but I am indeed aware of the incident. That would explain a lot about her other-worldly talent!

you like to listen to yourself more than to music and you think that others also want to hear your opinion more. Apparently that’s why you boldly stop the music to timidly demonstrate your own performance of dog barking - it was worth it
