GUITARIST REACTS TO GUILTY GEAR STRIVE OST - Just Lean Johnny Theme (REACTION)
Sounds like my comment - I’ve said all along, the album is to appeal to new poppy rock fans. But live, they get to play how they feel the songs need to be presented!
In all fairness, almost no one in the crowd at the MTV show knew who they were - but they certainly did after!
Ale keeps the band grounded. Dany and Pau rely on her perceptive brain. She is the secret weapon!
Speaking of Ale and her doing the backups needed when they are needed - put an ear to Amour from the Pepsi Center. When Dany does that freaking long vocal tone at the end (it's 12 seconds or so), listen to Ale's harmony on that. Outstanding!
Since you are regrowing facial hairs i check in more often. I thought you were a twin brother after you shaved( for court?) hahaha❤🎉😮
Excellent my friend... excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most of the band performances on Kimmel are shot on a separate side stage not in front of the TV audience so the band audiences are different from the show. It's just edited in when the live TV show is broadcast.
My dream is for this to be my first dance song..
Although the songs are good, I agree that some of the newer music is heavily over-produced and when performed them live they use multiple backing tracks. I prefer the KISS method. (keep it simple, stupid)
Totally agree about the live version has more raw guitar. Love both. 🤟🏼🎸🥁🎸🤟🏼
TW 🤟
Ale's The Warning's foundation. I love Rock and Jazz. First time hearing Ale, only 16, yet a world-class Jazz bassist playing Rock and the youngest Spector Signature Bassist ever. How? Ale plays with crystal clarity, perfect timing/pitch, absorbed the music of Jaco Pastorius, legendary Jazz Bassist, greatest Bassist of all time. Ale's amazing in "S!CK" yet listen to the cover of "You Oughta Know" and "Apologize". Ale rewrote Flea's "You Oughta Know" Bass-line, injecting Jazz. Ale plays it live like nothing; Flea couldn't get the timing right after a ton of studio takes. Dany has very difficult slide work in Apologize so Ale plays most of the Bass-line, Melody, and creates crazy percussion by plucking the B-string with such force I was sure she'd pull the string off. Ale fits in an incredibly beautiful Bass solo starting about half-way through the song, just as Dany is singing "And I don't meant to make you nervous..", and Ale also sings! It's Next-Level! Currently what Ale does while making is seem like she's not doing that much is done by great Jazz Bassists (absolute mastership and doing incredible difficult playing all while remaining super-chill as if it's actually nothing is very much a Jazz thing). TTBOMK few in Rock other than Ale do anything like what she does today, especially live. Go back to Chris Squire of Yes and find a Rock Bassist with the talent and desire to consistently pull this off. Squire was considered the most dominant/ talented Bassist of all English Progressive rock bands, known for his elaborately contoured melodic Bass lines and crystal clear sound. Ale is a primary reason The Warning has their amazing timing, incredible Wall of Sound, and that beautiful 80's vibe everyone loves; it's intrinsic to The Warning's music because much of the Rock of the 80's was imbued with the rhythms and melodies of Jazz, the Jazz-Fusion and Progressive movements, and it's Ale that's the master of those musical forms.
Sir, (I assume) you need to write a proper blog using your knowledge and writing ability. That was a superb post! There is a reason that these girls have the following that they do. Sure, it's partly to do with them being beautiful people (in every sense of the word), but there is so much more to it than that. There is musical ability here that we can barely fathom. It certainly isn't just luck that pretty much every single song they have created is excellent in some way. Nobody has ever said, "meh, that was rubbish" about any of their songs. Sure, many people won't like the genre, but that's just down to musical taste. What I'd love them to do now is take their time producing Album 5 and really stretch that musical ability and produce something to completely fry our brains. So, if you do ever consider doing a more lengthy prose, (you could probably write a biography!) let us know! 👍🤘👏
There were apparently a few people up front that were actually The Warning fans, the rest- who knows. But the fact that they were performing on national television makes a big difference as to how they felt getting a gig at an American late night talk show. There’s a TV audience out there that are now potentially new fans.😉
Their studio albums are great, but I always prefer their live performances. They are just too good live!!
Ale! 😎
The trait that Pau and Dany admire most about Ale is, she is comfortable in her own skin! She is happy with who she is, she doesn’t need the attention and doesn’t need to win! 😊🎶⚡️
Almost always, TW’s live performances are better than the studio versions of each song.
I think Pau was concerned about the video wall behind them playing right since it was coming from her laptop. Also, from what I've heard in other reactions, many in the audience saw DPA the night before at the Whiskey Go Go.
Awesome Thanks for sharing 🌎🤘
The future is now! Nice reaxion, tnx.
Pretty good one from Pepsi center too
Nice reaction, and spot on about the “audience”. Ale is the metronome for the band. By Pau’s own admission she’s not the best timekeeper, at a live show often when Ale goes back and puts a foot up on the drum riser she’s dragging Pau back into time. And I believe LorneJamesB is right, the producer had messed around with the set up, especially Pau’s, and she hadn’t quite calmed down. As you say, she just sat at the back and did her job!!!
Its funny because of the whole Warning crew (I'm thinking of the management and family) I think Pau is probably the one that most would want them to be on a Jimmy Giblets or shows like it. She has the most clarion ambition and take-no-prisoners attitude about success from what I've seen. I mean you have to contextualize that in that compared to 'the industry' she's a sweet humble genius. But of the three of them I think she'd most appreciate the need to jump through hoops to put something in the 401k or other fund for the future. She's said she would like to be in accounting and investing on a couple of occasions, if she couldn't just make it as a writer or IRL as a drummer/songwriter. Dany just knows she'll be fine whatever she does. Pau isn't that chill. God I love them to bits.
Great reaction. Much love for Ale our cool bassist. Keep Rockin' my friend 🤘⚡🤘
🤘
They just performed Automatic Sun at the MTV EMAs in Manchester, UK this year and it was epic! (Although the audience seemed a bit stunned 😆) If you do react to it be aware MTV is copyright claiming - I've seen reactors get around this by overlaying fancam video over the audio.
Without question. Ale is the coolest person in any room…. Even rooms she’s never been in. Even when she fell on stage she never missed a note until the crew helping her up pulled her hand off the strings. (for 6? notes).
Yeah, knowing Pau being the headstrong "director-type", I think she might have had words with the producers about how the shoot was set up prior to filming. Just my guess tho. TV show performances are rarely an organic environment for live music.
Yeah. I'm actually surprised they performed here. TV shows are notorious (or they used to be) for insisting on bands lip syncing. And I know DPA would have refused.
Great reaction! This is one of their best songs, IMO. But they have many great ones! In particular on their first two albums, I adore their debut "Cognitive". So rhythmic and primal! With fantastic ballads too.. ("Last Light" makes me cry every time.... ) and bangers like "Delenda" and "Savia".
You're right - Pau was subdued here for some reason. They did another song on this show, Automatic Sun, and she was more her normal spunky self in that one. Actually, all 3 were more animated in Automatic Sun live on Jimmy Kimmel, especially Dany flirting with the camera. 🙂 Appreciate your reaction!
Do indeed watch automatic sun from the kimmel show. Especially pau. She gets all jiggly.
Unfortunately, that didn’t make the TV show.

If you want to see more of Ale check out their cover of 'You Oughta Know" for Sirius XM. No official release but several copies out there. Don-music has a version with enhanced bass on his channel. Ale just sitting on a stool playing some funky bass while Dany crushes the vocals.
and don't forget Pau playing with a brush, switching back and forth between the brush and stick. No doubt Ale and Dany were the standouts, but it seems many have under appreciated what Pau was doing.
Sirius uploaded the full set (5? songs). Type in Sirius XM The Warning. Great live performance IMO. 😊
@@rk3257 Found others have uploaded it all over but didn't find it on the Sirius XM channel.
Dont get me wrong.... The studio is great.... BUT LIVE IS EPIC!!!!!! 💯🤘🤘🤘
Yeah, Dany and Pau grab your attention right off (boy do they) but I've always been team Ale, almost right from the start. Keeping up with those 2 lunatics since the 4th grade... and developing into the quiet, thoughtful bedrock of the band.
If you thought people were arguing on your reaction about this song, you needed a bullet proof vest if you ventured into their discord. The distortion in the vocals nearly gave some people multiple organ failure. I thought it was a pretty great punk leaning video but live is still better...
The chaos every time they released a single was nuts. It seemed like each song was greeted with complaints and angst and then they'd release a live version and everyone would settle down and accept it as alright.
🤘
Live is three times better dan on the record
This is an anthem made for big arenas
I didn't originally catch the Piano Man sound in this until I re-listened to Piano Man and goddamn yeah it is like nearly 1-to-1 lmao. You cannot call Daisuke uninspired for sure. Guilty Gear is my shower music of choice and I don't always sing along to it (mostly cuz these songs are rly hard to sing) but I find myself belting this one out especially with the chorus and the final section which hits me emotionally rly hard. The story told in this song is both funny and really sweet and tugs at my heart personally, ESPECIALLY when you know what it's all a metaphor for in the Guilty Gear story. Even though this song released with Dizzy and plays during the credits of her arcade mode we have reason to believe the song is actually about Baiken and Delilah (altho I think it can apply to Dizzy too). The intro motif can be heard in the credits of the DLC story mode which focuses on Baiken and Delilah, and the metaphors in the song just kinda line up perfectly. The dog would be Baiken, the girl Delilah, and the rain would be the grief they both feel over losing their loved ones to That Man, and them trying to get out if the rain is them seeking revenge. But in that DLC story mode when Baiken sees Delilah, this poor little kid, trying to go down the same dark path she has, she eventually decides to abandon her revenge and live a normal life with Delilah instead. The rain never stops, like how such intense grief of losing someone you love can never really disappear, but when the dog and the girl were together they found a break in the clouds. I think it's really beautiful and it adds a lot to my love of these two characters. Yep that's all! Venom is slated for early 2025, and given there's characters slated for spring and summer too my guess is Venom will release in January or February. He has some good themes in the old games! My favorite themes of his are "A Solitude That Asks Nothing In Return" from XX, "Keeper of the Unknown" from the Korean version of XX, and his Isuka theme "The Irony of Chaste" is probably one of the more well known tracks from that game. Also even tho it's my least favorite of his themes by process of elimination, I'll mention "Call Shot" from Xrd too. Since he's an Assasin, he's also included in the Assasins versus themes. "Existence" from XX, "Rogue Hunters" from XX Korean, and "When Life Comes" from Xrd. If you wanna get familiar with Venoms sound before Strive then there's some homework lmao.
7:45 Chills every single time 🤘❤
Can we get a Euclid live video react now? :)
I will be seeing them at the O2 in 7 days! Maybe I will record a video live from the show 😜
Poppy has a band that regularly performs with her, rather than rotating session musicians. Sometimes they also play on the albums but it depends on each track and the producer she is working with. She will usually stick to one producer and creative team for each album and write with them.
This is a perfect song, and it freaking breaks my heart every damn time I hear it.
Can't wait for Venom, Lucy, and Unika's themes
Please react to the official lyric video for "Antagonist". They also did a great version of Snuff by Slipknot.
now just to wait till more characters come out! next should be Venom: a returning character and fan favorite.
I will be looking forward to more songs coming out! Venom sounds like the song attached will be quite ominous. 😁
My favorite band right now. No bad days with SOEN. Checkout Oscillation from the Cognitive Album.
they have many amazing tracks, Savia, The Words, Lotus and Lunacy are my favorites.
Thank you for the recommendations 😁
Great choice. Soen has some excellent music.
I have only heard a few of their songs and every one so far has been awesome! 😁
@@BraindeadBreakdown Yeah, I used to listen to them quite a lot.... and then I discovered Opeth. Lol.
imo whoever Daisuke brought on to do the mixing during Chronophantasma was an absolute legend. It legitimately made it difficult to go back to his other work after hearing these tracks. It's so good. Like, I can actually clearly hear every instrument in the mix instead of it all crunching together like the old tracks (which tbf does have a certain quality of it's own) or being a complete clown show like in Strive (I dare you to tell me Smell of the Game's mix is good. Wtf is that blurry bed drowning out the whole center of the field for the vocals to sit on.)
