    Good Mechanic, does a complete job, most guys would just slap the pads on and be done.

    You forgot to move sheet metal elements(that little springs mounted on top side of brake pad) from old pads to new ones ;) They can be visable 2:55 and them are also parts of mountig set for brake pads.

      @moosemobileautorepair  18 днів тому +1

      Everything comes with the new brake pads. The squealer clip doesn't need to be installed, that's optional.

    • @TheKrisu091
      @TheKrisu091 18 днів тому +2

      @@moosemobileautorepair Thats no squealing wear indicator. That little clip is compensating brake pad loose in vertical axle. Brake pads mounting set is not necessary to replace every time but old sheet metal elements should be transfered to new brake pads. Please note that this little guy is faced out and push brake pad against brake yoke. Wear indicator is faced inside and does not function as a spring.

      @@TheKrisu091oh yeah even I noticed that ting too. I got my brakes done from an idiot and one of my brake pads wiggles vertically. I noticed that clip is missing.

    Thanks for this video great information as usual. Any information on how to clean the caliper pin holes as my pins are awful stiff. I have a 2010 Toyota Matrix. Thanks!

      Thank you! Yes, you can use some bore brushes and attach them to a drill to clean them out and use some brake cleaner here and there. I do have a few videos on that where the pins got seized on some vehicles I have worked on.

    Made the mistake of getting a shop to change the brake pads on my corolla due to time restrictions. Will have to swap out the rotors and buy new pads now. Sick to fuck of having to do shit twice when taking a car to a mechanic 😡

    • @moosemobileautorepair
      @moosemobileautorepair  7 місяців тому +2

      Sorry to hear that. It does happen sometimes, but a reputable shop should be able to do the job properly and offer some kind of a warranty if they supplied their own parts. It is one of the main reasons as to why I do all of the car repair work myself and why I became a mechanic in the first place because I had trouble trusting other people doing the work for me.

      No idea. There's always people outside chit chatting here and there. There's not much I can do about it although it can be distracting sometimes.
