Thank you! I slipped, twisted my ankle, and fell down the stairs yesterday. I did my best to wrap it at work today (after I could finally get to the pharmacy with my then more injured ankle) but I didn’t know what I was doing. The level of detail and the info on avoiding common mistakes were super helpful. It feels significantly better than my overly tight, rushed attempt
After my first ankle injury, i wrapped the bandage in the wrong way, and paid the price. I got another ankle injury on the same ankle due to wrong wrapping. Thanks Doctors for such an informative videos. Very informative. Listen to these guys.

Thanks for this video guys. I sprained my ankle a week ago falling off a ladder. Been strapping it up with cohesive bandage following your directions and it's helped relieve the pain by a lot as soon as it's done. I also have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome so I tend to roll my ankles inwards / inversion when standing but wrapping it up like this to stabilise it with slight eversion has helped correct that too. I'm a radiographer but am dreaming about going into physiotherapy now. Must be great treating your patients and seeing the results / hearing them express instant pain relief with things like this.
Leaving for work, on the step, locking my door(same routine everyday) took a step down than instantly pop and down I go. Luckily my daughter was inside to help me get in. That pop was a scary sound.

I don’t know what to believe. I just watched another video that said not to ice it and to actually make sure to move it and stretch it out (leave it unbanadaged and go for a walk) because that causes lactic acid or does something to help it. Everyone says something different 😩
Just popped mine yesterday. Swelling was immediate. Iced it for and hr than wrapped it writhing 2 hrs swelling had decreased 50% rotate between ice and wrap and Motrin. Luckily it happened on a Friday so will see what Monday morning brings. The office where J work is 18 steps up.
I don't even know how it happened...I fell on the train tracks a couple times, sure, but then I wake up the next day and my ankle is fifty more shades of hammered than I am. I'm having a hard time walking on it, but wrapping it up has definitely helped quite a bit now that I know what to do. :3
I have RA, and my ankles are flared ip. Wrapping always helps get the inflammation down. I watched to make sure I was wrapping correctly, as I haven’t had to in a long while. Thank you very much for the demo. 🙂
I train martial arts, but the funny thing is I didn't sprain my ankle doing a bad spin, kick, jump or anything, not even while walking, but by sleeping wrong lol. It's not quite the ankle though, it's my instep but couldn't find videos for what I needed. I wore boots today and I like to wear them kind of tight, so the pressure felt nice and relieved much of the pain, so I did this wrap and it helped, so thanks!

Just a CAVEAT to all the watchers out there. Your "Sprain" could be an avulsion fracture (where the tendons snapped off the tip of your ankle bone during the injury) If you are STILL swollen or in a fair amount of pain after a couple weeks.... It would be wise to get an X-Ray stat! I learned this the hard way. :''''''0

I use athletic tape and sometime I put the bandage wrap on and cover it with the athletic tape for more support. Do Not cut off circulation, your feet will start to burn and then, you will have to take it off. Be easy, it is your body.
About 3 weeks ago I twisted my ankle and didn't have wrap and so went to the store and I couldn't find the old fashion cloth wrap. So I didn't get anything. They had blue green and other colors. Thought I could find it somewhere. I'm stubborn. But in the meantime I have wedge pillow and kept my foot up that evening with ice pack and next couple evening's when able to and it worked! And I know that's unusual. Whatever it was only bothered me when I went down stairs, so i would be careful. But I guess see if I can find white or off white wrap what they sell nowadays. Is there difference to old wrap?
I just heard my ankle today and years ago I had angle problems prior to that but I lost my ankle brace so my sister got me a bandage wrap but thank you for the tip though it really helps

I was climbing down a wall while I was pinging I slipped and landed on the base of my foot so all my weight basically crushed my ankle I was so scared I broke it

It seems that wrapping in this direction, pulling over towards the other leg, is pulling it in the same direction as the sprain. I’m more confused with every video as everyone wraps them differently. I give up!
That was confusing as heck. You changed directions at the beginning. Maybe only one of you could talk while teaching this? Otherwise, I like your channel so I apologize for cursing you as I attempt to wrap my newly sprained ankle. 😊
This is not the right way to wrap your ankle! You don't want any holes or swelling will accumulate in that location, speaking with past experience working with D1 athletes as an athletic trainer student.

Thankfully I wrapped my sprained ankle in a similar way! It’s been 2 months and still giving me a smidge of stiffness but way better than what it was

Icing it for me made it feel worse n made it stiff
