- Rock 'n roll legend Alice Cooper is being cancelled by a cosmetics company after a recent interview he gave to Stereogum. Alice Cooper spoke on transgender issues and shared his views on the subject.

Yes. I hope all Alice Cooper fans cancel the cosmetics company. Isn't Alice allowed his opinion? If you disagree with or say anything against the letters brigade then you get cancelled, or companies etc just cancel you in case they're cancelled for not speaking out against anyone that's not 'woke'.
Alice Cooper is a devote Christian, inspiration for anyone addicted to alcohol, great golfer (also golfed with Trump that cheated doesn't want to bother playing again with him), and rockstar unlikely seen ever again. I side often with those that feel born in the wrong body, but can clearly see his calculated - logic answer. He isn't promising a solution or demanding one. He is giving a worried perspective of the void we have today. He said nothing offensive, and even those wanting to or belong in such a community should understand - if some idiot takes advantage of a system without rules - you are harmed. You should be angry of the risk. You should help enact procedural and societal change. For a company to walk away based o this... makes me baffled.
It's like Chris Rock said in one of his comedy shows about corporations being "anti-racist" and selling ridiculously higher-priced yoga pants as proof or justification. I won't quote it due to expletives, but the point is many more times than not, money will be more important to a large company for PR reasons than the actual wisdom of anything. As Chris said, and as a poor person, I'd much rather buy the stigmatized-by-material-society "racist yoga pants" that are not sold with the %500 markup prices. And furthermore are made by children in sweat shops that are paid slavery wages even for extremely poor economies like Vietnam or Bangladesh, or even China. Hypocrisy, in the case of this cosmetics company, unfortunately is central when a lot of money and stockholders are involved. So it's their loss for the non-branding of a hell of a great makeup artist like Alice. He doesn't need the idiots anyway.

That was one of the most accurate, kind, and eloquently expressed statements on the whole situation. I can't see how either side can be mad at him. They can disagree but not be mad. He showed empathy for people on all sides of this controversy and gave us all reason for thought.

I was never been a fan of Alice Cooper. My child dragged me to one of his concerts . Right there I realized how many hits he has. I recognized every song he played! Damn , he has a lot of hits ! And he was incredible performer on the stage ! Two hours of non stop singing and great show ! I lost my voice screaming ! Go Alice , you have one more 50 years old fan ! screw the cancellers..
I'm 59 and been a fan for over 50 years when I started school and friends listened to him. Before it was country music so I like a bit of everything. Him and Elton John were my first 2 favorites. Quite a difference.😂
I’m 17 and saw him love sep 5th, the best concert I’ll ever see I bet. Rob Zombie, Filter and Ministry were also there, but Cooper stole the show. I’ve liked him since I was 7
@@wyattcole5452 He puts on a show. Saw him about 4 times and there's a local tribute band that is so good you can barely tell it's not the real Alice Cooper. Same with an AC/DC tribute band. I know some that was in a black Sabbath tribute band but he quit as he started working afternoons. A bass player.
There were 70 and 80 year olds just jamming and dancing to these older tunes. Not my grandpa's music.😆They listened to the old country music like Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr. and from Kentucky. So did my mother so country was my first music experience. I bet at nursing homes they play older rock and argue who was the best.

As a fan of Alice Cooper for 50 years I am surprised to find a situation where he is the voice of reason and balance. Nothing he said was hateful or negative.

This is what happens today when you speak the truth. I'm part of the lgbtq+ community and, coming from a man who is 75, I found nothing he said to be offensive. It's sad that we have so many people thinking that gender is only a mental thing and the physical has nothing to do with determining your gender. I disagree, gender is mostly physical, the mental part is only a tiny part of gender identity. Don't get me wrong I do believe there really are people who are trans, but most of the ones today aren't.

I’m about science not about giving people the opportunity to commit a crime, because they think they can take a vantage of a woman’s right to privacy. And break the law by using a fake gender as an excuse. It’s demoralizing to women and children, and taking away our right to safety. We deserve and demand our privacy. If we have to take it (our right to privacy), we will. This woke movement is A threat to all women and children’s rights and safety. As a fairly masculine bisexual male, I sometimes feel like a secret agent since I live in a very restrictive narrow-minded community.
Most people do not give a single shit if you want to do what you want with you body, and the people that do, shouldn't have any sort of business in terms of any sort of medical procedure.
But, I do agree with allowing an adult to make their own decisions.
Most people dont even hit "mental maturity" till their twenties, some people grow up early, in terms of maturity. I advocate and support the trans community wholly, but I don't think a child should make life-alterring decisions while they're still in school.
If Chad wants to Clarissa, and Becky wants to be Brian, or they feel that's who they truly are. As long as they can consent as an adult, it truly shouldn't matter.

I'm a member of the LGBT+ community. I have to say it seems like people have forgotten the old saying of "Sleep on it". There's no need to rush. Let kids just be kids. If they still feel that way then maybe do something about it. The human brain doesn't stop developing until a person is about 26 years of age. I didn't know for sure I was trans until I was about 18, when the realization solidified in my mind. I say sleep on it then proceed with caution because transitioning is a hard process and takes time. Be sure absolutely sure first.
I had a lot of respect for Mr. Cooper, and now i have so much more respect for him now. Him being cancelled for this is a violation of the 1st amendment, (in case you don’t know, the 1st amendment is the freedom of speech) everyone who thinks he is just a “trans-phobe bigot” are the ones who should be cancelled for violating his rights. Just saw him on the 2nd of September this year and it was an amazing show, far better than I thought it would be.

I've seen him live in June. I came for Johnny who is like a kid on the stage. But Alice is one mobile old man. Hope to be vivacious like him at that age.
It's so insane seeing the cult reaction to such an inoffensive and well spoken statement that was not "hateful" or "bigoted" in the slightest. It's more obvious who the actual "bigots" are, and the people who feel it should be socially illegal to step out of the strict lines they have decided is the worldview for everybody to have.

I'm not a huge Alice fan either (few songs, he's more my mothers era) but I agree with what he said. I have severe anxiety, worse when in public, and now I'm too panicky to even use a public toilet incase there's a man in there. There is litterely no safe places for women to go with this nonsense. Women escaped from their abusive husbands and went to a shelter for women, he can say he's a woman and get in there and kill her. It's getting too much.

I grew up with Alice Cooper's music. I will always love those tunes, and this only makes me respect him more.
Alice Cooper is a living legend. Furthermore, he's extremely eloquent. I'm an English teacher and a writer, and I doubt seriously I could've responded to the interviewer's loaded question with more honesty, eloquence, impartiality, clear thinking and diplomacy. And his guitarist "Noodles" coming out with a blanket statement to reduce Alice's well-thought critique into a slanderous headline...well, typical. Maybe Noodles should go work for Disney or Marvel as a developer for future "woke" shows. 'Cause those folks are obviously doing so well mining that vein, one more joining the ranks might help those channels finally make a profit the next time.

I played at the RockFest 2013 with Alice Cooper as a headliner. This guy was unbelievable live!!! Didn't care much at first since it was a punk/HC/ska/metal fest, but he quickly became the highlight of the weekend as the show started lol When you say he still got it at 75... I truly believe it.
Saw Alice on Wednesday. He still puts on a great show. It’s disheartening to see mediocre guitar players with lackluster careers outing themselves as entitled karens
