I always do the low lunge and half split before actually going into my splits, it makes all the difference between hovering just above the ground and actually getting into my splits. Thanks for the stretches :)

These really are great stretches! (Coming from a gymnast)- always do the first 5 stretches first before attempting to hold a split for a minute. You may get hurt….

i remember when i was a kid i did the lunging quad stretch on both legs and i heard a VERY loud crack ( on both ) and to this day lunging quad stretch is the easiest stretch for me
A tip for stretching is do these to kind of warm up, but once you've done these then go as far into your splits as you can like until you feel the stretch, and hold it for a minute, it helps you get it faster.
I am in my 50s and always passionate of sports, now I wonder if it s too late to learn to do the split, I still want to achieve this goal of mine..tyfor this video!
For me Half split and straddle hold stretch are seriously the toughest one! Gosh.. it lit had pain in my muscles & bones.. But trying my best to achieve these stretches cuz consistency is the key!💫

I really wanna start exercising again because I used to be super flexible. I kinda got burnt out at one point and stopped stretching and working out. I don't know where to begin cause most of the stuff I find is for older people (like 40-60), and I'm still a minor. I don't even know if I should do those exercises. Can you give me some tips maybe? :] 💖
Just do ‘em everyday, stretch as far as possible and one day you’ll magically do it. I’m a floor sitter and one day as a teenager I just stretched a lot during hw breaks and one day I could magically do the splits. My friends were really surprised but I think also being obese probably added to that shock lol. I cannot do side splits though!! Idk if my anatomy is even meant for that. Kudos to anyone who can actually do that.

Question: im a dancer, and what you are doing is called the "spagaat" for me, and the split is the same but 1 leg is right and one leg is left like yeah hard to explain- So my question is, is it something from my language, or is it called different in pilates and is is just dancing called that?

I’m obese and can do front splits (I believe that’s what you were referring to) so it’s definitely possible.
