- We will walk you through how to replace your old doorbell by adding your blink doorbell to your system as well as hardwire the doorbell to the existing wiring from the old doorbells existing line. Also we installed the corner, or wedge, so we get a better view of the door. This will allow the blink system to work, but also will have your old door bell ring as well.

Thank you for the video Helped me work out why my wall chime wasn't working 👍🏻
Glad I could help
May I ask why you put it on a separate system? I can’t seem to find anything online about why you might put it in a different system. Curious why you prefer it this way
helpful. thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Do you still need to replace the AA batteries when they wear off since this is wired installation?
yes, the wiring just operates the chime. batteries are required for the video.
I have blink doorbell
But I don’t have the chime and I wired it but it’s not working,do I have to have chime when I wired it?
your house door chime needs to be connected to a 16V transformer.
Do you keep the batteries in it even though it's now wired?
I'm trying to figure out the same thing
Yes, the wiring on my first version wasn’t enough to power the doorbell, only connected it to the existing chime. So I did the same with this one.
What if I can’t find the breaker to the doorbell?
Turn off the power to the entire house to be safe.
