What can I use if I don't get buttermilk?

You can make your own at home... Pour 1 teaspoon lemon juice or white vinegar in a measuring cup. Add enough milk (I recommend 2% or whole) to measure 1 cup total. Stir together and let sit for 5 minutes, then use as directed in the recipe
