You know, with every video your testing methods are evolving to new levels and that's what I love about your channel! Great review as always, would be great to see the Katana or Nineo bulbs (Amazon SV-4 knockoffs) go against the Ultra 2, 2 stroke 3.0, and the SV-4 itself.
I have the Katana LEDs and I'm particularly interested in how they test after 30 minutes because I have them installed as fog lights but they are poor for regular headlights (the heat dims then quite dramatically)
@@MiguelRPD I run the Precision LED Kepler Series bulb (same as Katana but from different brand) for headlights in my '01 Honda Insight with an H4 socket. This particular bulb style produces the best cutoff line and overall output in reflectors I've seen amongst any LED bulbs. I also run the original SV-4 for fogs, lows, and highs in my mom's '10 Rav 4 LTD and absolutely love the heck out of them! Performance in any weather is great. That said, it's my own experience and other people may have it otherwise.

Also thank you so much for reviewing them after 30 minutes. I can't tell you how NECCESSARY it is to test LEDs after they warmed up because they all dim and some lose significant performance.

Stay tuned to carlightreviews.com for the official test in the future! @Nick - What do you think of the 50W versions so far?
The Pro 50w makes a good fog light but I found that the 55w version lacks a good hotspot in a halogen projector (Lexus es 350 2008) and thus it lacked good distance down the road,so I had to return them. 50w gets very warm but the 55w was VERY hot.

Yes i can, but they were and, they still are the most expensive. The 341HLB (H4) cost me with all the additional costs, almost 194e(ouch!) it was the lowest price i found 4years ago. I bought them from, an Ebay Japannese seller that had excelent feedback, and they arrived in my country (Greece!) in 15 days. What's worth mentioning is the anbelievable overall quality, even from the package, and the superior/ more usable light output to my 6.000k 35w HID kit (Abarth Punto Evo). Thanks a lot once again
Thanks for the awesome video! From my research, it looks like the ProX are good for low beam projector applications but not for high beams if your high beams are also your DRLs as they will not dim down enough and draw enough power for the DRLs in most cars. However it does look like the standard Saber Pro’s do dim down enough for most cars’ DRLs to function as well. Would you happen to know more about this Jason? I’m thinking ProX for low beams and Pro for high/drl’s if that’s the case and as long as it wouldn’t matter that the low beams are higher wattage than the high beams.
What’s up friend, I’ve been trying to narrow down a set of leds for a while now and don’t feel any closer to choosing one. When it comes to reliability, I always recommend the Diode Dynamics SL-1. Thanks for not answering my question 🙂
What question did you have? I don't see a question from you.
@@InJasonsGarage I asked was the ddm 9005 the same as 9005 HB3 for my HBs on my Acura TL. I deleted my initial question because I ordered a different LED from ddm which is a bummer because these look promising.
@@GrabinGears Well, I can't exactly answer a deleted question. :) 9005 and HB3 cross-reference each other...they are the same thing.
@@InJasonsGarage Thanks for the help I guess 🤷♂️
@@GrabinGears You're welcome, I guess. ;) What light did you end up getting from DDM?
Who cares if not legal lol 😅😆
Some do. I started mentioning that to a) cover my ass legally and b) because people were leaving comments about it.
Since manufacturers were also addressing it, I wanted to also to educate and make sure people knew I wasn't some dumb guy telling people not to give a crap about blinding oncoming drivers because the front of my clapped-out beater looks bitchin' at night while I be rollin.
@@InJasonsGarage YES! What he said^
I've had LED's on my Mercedes for the past few years, have yet to be pulled over. Nobody cares.
@@jkeating38 They're OEM probably, lol
@@contagiousingenuityagency5273 nah, my car came with halogens originally, put in some canbus compatible LED's and it was night and day difference. I pass cops daily and they don't do squat about it
