I took the HESI today and I HAD to come back to this video to let you know that it is absolute GOLD. It more than prepared me for the math portion!! This was the section I was most worried about, and I watched this video last night for the first time. I’ve been studying using a study guide and online practice tests for the past month. Last night instead of going over my study guide’s math section again, I got the idea to just look for a video on UA-cam for my last night of studying. This video was the ONE. I scored a 98 on the math section and a 96.5 overall🎉 My test was majority ratios and proportions, basic math operations, some fractions, some decimal and percentage problems, a few conversions (super simple ones), one military time question, one algebra question, and no Roman numeral questions. I just took the Hesi A2 yesterday for entry into a nursing program and i passed !!!!!! when I tell you your explanation of ratio's saved my life. I totally forgot about that. My Hesi was mainly fractions and rations. I had 4 hours, 4 different sections and 50 questions each section. Hello Nurse Shai . I can't thank you enough for all your help. I managed to score 95% overall on my first attempt. I got a 96% in math , 100% in A& P , and a 96% in vocabulary, 94% in grammar and a 90% in reading , and also I would encourage any test taker to try and look up some quizlets . Yes I just passed my Hesi entrance exams because nurse Shai made it easy for me and that was my first time.Maths was easy I couldn’t believe myself . Hey guys I literally was sent this video by a friend, had a Hesi exam scheduled at 6am, was so tired hours before but I knew she had gems and I needed to pass math. I woke up at 3am on the day of the test and studied up until 5:45am! It is August 17 and sadly I couldn’t attend my nursing program because it was extremely full.. but I’ll be pushing to get in for January. I received a hesi study guide from the school and everything they have on the guide is in this video! I’ve learnt so much studying this video and will continue to study until my time for the test comes around. Thank you so much! ( I will also share my results here!)

I NEVER usually comment on videos, but I HAD to give feedback on the HESI series! I used these videos, took notes and did practice mometrix questions and was able to get a 89% on the HESI first try! All of the reviews Nurse Shai has posted for the HESI are so great! I would definitely recommend taking notes for each subject, then doing practice questions with the information learned. I only had 3 weeks to study and found these resources SO helpful. I cannot thank you enough!!
I love how you have broken this math down it makes it so easy to understand and follow. I haven’t even thought about most of this stuff in 10 years and it’s really nice being able to go step by step from the very beginning to refresh my memory!

@@w3nd333 the critical thinking part will ask questions like what would you do as a nurse in certain situations . It’s honestly really easy and only 30 questions. I just took the HESI today.
@@w3nd333 no medical terminology questions at all! For example one of the questions was “what would you do if you’re on call and a patient called you on your phone and you were out in public” the answer would be you would step out in a private area to speak with the patient.

@@khawla4531 Hello, the math portion wasn't that bad. There wasnt alot of word problems, but the few that were on the test were pretty easy. On the math portion there was alot of proportions, solving expressions, and a ton of converting measurements. Nurse shai has videos for grammer, vocabulary, and math that I watched often up until I took the exam. I didnt use quizlet, just the youtube videos she made. Good luck!

I had to memorize them, they didn’t provide the conversions.

Hey guys I literally was sent this video by a friend, had a Hesi exam scheduled at 6am, was so tired hours before but I knew she had gems and I needed to pass math. I woke up at 3am on the day of the test and studied up until 5:45am! Listen hunny I scored an 80% on the Hesi exam in 3 hours of studying her material especially proportions, percentages and fractions. Thank you so much nurse Shai!!!

It is August 17 and sadly I couldn’t attend my nursing program because it was extremely full.. but I’ll be pushing to get in for January. I received a hesi study guide from the school and everything they have on the guide is in this video! I’ve learnt so much studying this video and will continue to study until my time for the test comes around. Thank you so much! ( I will also share my results here!)

I NEVER usually comment on videos, but I HAD to give feedback on the HESI series! I used these videos, took notes and did practice mometrix questions and was able to get a 89% on the HESI first try! All of the reviews Nurse Shai has posted for the HESI are so great! I would definitely recommend taking notes for each subject, then doing practice questions with the information learned. I only had 3 weeks to study and found these resources SO helpful. I cannot thank you enough!!
I love how you have broken this math down it makes it so easy to understand and follow. I haven’t even thought about most of this stuff in 10 years and it’s really nice being able to go step by step from the very beginning to refresh my memory!

I just wanted to thank you for these videos, i passed my Hesi A2 exam last month, i failed the first time and was so scared that i wasn't going to pass my 2nd and final time, but thanks to your videos, i passed and got a 81.6% which is awesome!!! thank you so much, i focused on your math and A&P videos because those 2 subjects i scored low on the first time. @@teresadaniel2077 honestly if it wasn’t for her videos and the Mometrix math practice test I probably wouldn’t have scored as high as I did compared to if I just sat down and read a HESI book

@@w3nd333 the critical thinking part will ask questions like what would you do as a nurse in certain situations . It’s honestly really easy and only 30 questions. I just took the HESI today.
@@jackierios6093 ooo thanks! do they use any complex medical terminology? that’s my biggest worry with critical thinking.
@@w3nd333 no medical terminology questions at all! For example one of the questions was “what would you do if you’re on call and a patient called you on your phone and you were out in public” the answer would be you would step out in a private area to speak with the patient.

I watched so many videos and studied for almost a week for the nursing entrance exam. I couldn't get the math down and every pretest I couldn't get above a 60%, I watched your math training video and I scored an 88.9% on the math portion of the HESI. It's because of your help. @@khawla4531 Hello, the math portion wasn't that bad. There wasnt alot of word problems, but the few that were on the test were pretty easy. On the math portion there was alot of proportions, solving expressions, and a ton of converting measurements. Nurse shai has videos for grammer, vocabulary, and math that I watched often up until I took the exam. I didnt use quizlet, just the youtube videos she made. Good luck!
