- The HESI A2 or HESI Entrance Exam's math section will DEFINITELY feature math metric conversion problems. You'll see these in the form of a straightforward problem or in the form of a word problem, just like you'll see on med dosage math.

For anyone getting ready to take the HESI you need to memorize these conversions and there aren't many tricks to do so. It just takes time. I took the Hesi and scored a 96 on the math. These conversions will also be included in word problems so you will have to have these memorized just to know the problem before doing any additional problem solving. I suggest you taking as many free tests and buy an online study guide. From talking to people in my class it seems most of us scored 90 or above that got into our program. Also you have to consider that it is timed so you can't spend too much time on any one problem. If you know these conversions you can easily gain time so you will have time to spend on anything tricky they throw at you.

@@amairwilson6278 I studied for about 30 minutes a day for three weeks but I have been a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) since 2007. I have had all the conversions memorized for over 15 years and pharmacy techs actually do math when we work the IV rooms. So I just reviewed a little everyday from a study guide I bought. This youtube channel has free tests and looks like an online course you can pay for. I spent like $30 on my book and it was worth it. I only had to do Math, Reading Comprehension, and Critical Thinking. If you don't know the math at all I would spend 1 hour or more a day even if you break into 30 minutes sessions. You need to find all the conversions and make flash cards too.

I really appreciate this way of solving problems by understanding the measurements rather than putting it as a fraction to cross multiply and risk putting something in the wrong spot!

This is cool, but you have to know the difference between 0.4 /.4. I was confused and tired (which didn't help me). I was running on 3 hours of sleep from anxiety. The whole ordeal was a nightmare!
I didn't realize how much we had to memorize these conversions. I have a feeling I failed.

I am telling you, the exam I took had those as a choice. Then that through me again...Is it possible they can use two right answers?🤷🏿♀️
Can you retake the test?
@@lostboi3974 Most schools will allow you to retake the test but also have different restrictions around it like how many times you can retake it or how long you have to wait before retesting.

@@greencandyy6632 he was UA-camr who posted videos on UA-cam helping students learn hesi math and other subjects. His videos were very helpful and he helped slot of people including myself. So sad didn’t know he died.
