    In this video I show you 3 ways which you can use a softbox for wedding photography. These setups are all simple and create beautiful light for your photographs.
    As softboxes are large light sources, they create softer light than either bare speedlights or smaller modifiers. This soft light looks beautiful when used for wedding portraits.
    All the photographs in this video were taken on my Sony A9II with my Sony 85mm f1.8 lens.
    I lit the couple with a Godox V860 inside the MagBox Pro 42" octa softbox

    Quick and very effective. I also love the 42-incher, the quality of light and amount of contrast you can achieve with a grid is almost unbeatable. Beautiful work Neil, as always. 👏

    I always love your style. Im not looking to shoot weddings, but portraits and maybe boudoir soon. Your videos are a gem and very helpful. The one question I have right now is, is the flash pointed directly at them, or do you have it feathered across them? Its always so hard to tell. Thanks in advance for your reply Neil. Keep it up !!!!

      Thank you very much! Great question, in this video the light was pointing at them but I do love to feather the light and the light created using that technique can be stunning so I would suggest trying both ways to see which works best for you, but both would work great - the main thing is having the light source large and close

    Hi Neal! As always awesome video! Question if task is to darken all scene and light only couple is it possible to use shoot through umbrella in tight space? Putting it very close.

    • @NeilRedfern
      @NeilRedfern  9 днів тому +1

      Thank you very much! Good question - I would expect an umbrella to create beautiful light as the ligh😀t source is very large, but also more light spill - so I imagine it would work great outside but maybe tricky inside if you want to control the light. But I have never used an umbrella so I am only guessing. It would definitely be worth trying 😊
