Wow Irene I get it. After scabbing it with Fuji for over a decade, I swapped over to two Z6ii's nearly two years ago now. I just adore the look of the files from Nikon - they are gorgeous. My paid customers immediately noticed the difference, and it helped my business so much. I'm just filthy with myself for scumming it with Fuji so long, getting each new iteration of their camera, hoping this would be the one, but it never happened. Gorgeous images. I use the 35mm 1.8 as my main wedding lens, the 50 1.8 for portraits and my wonderful Z 24-70 2.8s for all of my events and fast moving gigs. Nikon is an incredible system now and I'm so happy to be on board.
I loved most of your photos, the model is also great, she has that mystical and magical face at the same time. Excellent session, I think most of us were captivated, this is how we, the students, enjoyed a great teacher.
I love the look and bokeh of the 135 too. But like her, don’t really want to be so far from the model. I wish I had the 85mm F1.2. It wasn’t out when I bought my 85.
We normally shoot with the Z8 and Z9 but started bringing the ZF with vintage lenses and the film modes for some in-between shots. Such a fun camera to use. I really like your work on these with the DOF!
I cannot believe someone can capture stunning pictures like this. Really enjoyed this video. love your photography and post processing skills. Thanks for inspiration .
I will be fully honest here. I am not the biggest fan of your work, and recently having transitioned to mirrorless Nikon, and having questions regarding 35mm f1.8 and 50mm f1.8, I have to say what you did here is a work of art. And you helped me with some decisions, the photos are stunning as well as your edits.
Thank you! I do like it it’s beautiful for sure, but personally anything longer than 85mm gives me too much compression in the background, so that’s what I don’t love.
Amazing shots! Nikon is really killing it lately. That 50mm 1.8 is my favorite budget prime ever across any manufacturer. I even think it's better than the Leica Summicron-SL 50mm f/2 I have for my Leica SL. I switched to Nikon and have the Z8, Getting a Z6iii here soon.
Wonderful work Irene. Victoria is our favourite place. So many amazing gardens. Thank you for using this variety of lenses. It was nice to see the differences.
Awesome work! I’ve been following you for a long time, and your work just keeps getting better. You work very well with your models also! As a Nikon shooter, I really love how you made the colors pop! Thanks for sharing.
Great camera, lovely model, fantastic location and of course a superb photographer! I prefer the images taken with the plena, there is just some magic to it!
It’s that Nikon 3D pop and colors that are reflecting in the image quite a difference from your previous pics from Canon even before images are edited very interesting love your work specially insight and editing.
I always love your videos irene. You show us that is not about the gear you use but the person behind it. Looking forward you use a 105 f1.4 .So much learning thank you Irene from Philippines ❤️❤️❤️
I always get this question but I don’t meter in camera, I just try to expose for highlights without underexposing the subjects too much. I just eyeball it
Hi Irene, I absolutely adore your work. Since there have been some significant developments with Photoshop, would you consider doing another photo editing video at all? 🥰
Irene, I loved this video. I like the idea of the photographer being captured! Haha I'm always behind the lens! Which I'm fine w! The Rhododendrons are to die for! I don't have models, but I have my two lil girls I'm constantly pushing into some beautiful bushes and trees😂 tfs❤❤❤ much love!!!
Thanks for this Irene, great work and the photos were amazing, loved your ideas from model's poses, outfits, location, you can be a creative director in one. I dont know if you've already done some male and female shoot, more of like prenup photoshoot, just curious how you would instruct them with their poses and I'd like see that in your future shoots( if it's possible)😁
I feel like this Plena 135mm 1.8 is the perfect upgrade from a Canon EF 135mm 2.0L, similar character, but this one is so clear and not mushy like the canon. I like it.
great model, and shoot Irene, wow. one tip, for the bokeh effect with less money, I shoot a hasselblad 500 c\m that has a bigger iris for the format ie the larger the sensor the less the dof, so when going to mf a 2.8 has the same subject separation as a f 1.4 lens, so the design constraints are less, so the lens is cheaper (AUD$750-1,200)* this is model dependent, and what coatings it has, as for Hasselblads you get a shutter with every lens so there is that. * this is for the V-system lenses, the HC lenses are a lot more, AUD $3,000-12,000 [for the zooms {50-110 & 35-90} ] A way to shoot closer, with my V/H systems' lenses at least, is to use ext. tubes, for eg, my HC 300 can't focus closer than 1Meter, so a 32e ext. tube does the job, allowing some degree of 'macro', Not to be confused with true macro {1:1 ratio}, just close up :-) my V system can use 8/21/55 and a few other length tubes, giving close up shots, at varying subject to lens distance, ~0.5 m to about 1/2" away for the 55 (with my f2.8 120mm CF lens)- this IS a true macro, with the tubes on, or my 180 CF lens, not a macro, but gets closeup.
gorgeous image but surprised to learn that 135 is not what you like. to me the Nikon 135 plena and 200 f2 are two best lens i ever want to shoot for portraits.
I usually set my kelvins manually, and focus on getting a good skin tone, and then some editing in photoshop . Also I really like Capture one for raw processing
one tip Irene, I notice in the edits you warm up the skin tones, you can do this ahead of the shot, by switching the picture profile, Picture control in Nikon speak, to warm, or vivid, or even portrait, this does it straight off camera, and to each shot, so you don't have to use up valuable time editing with colour corrections.
I always shoot in portrait profile but it won’t dramatically change the skin tone in a raw inage, none of the in camera settings will do that, I guess except for the white balance, that’s why I always shoot manual WB and adjust it while looking at the skin through the evf.

This shoot turned out stunning. The colours, composition, posing and light are incredible
Thank you 🙏
yep and the lens hood was on the right way too!
I loved most of your photos, the model is also great, she has that mystical and magical face at the same time. Excellent session, I think most of us were captivated, this is how we, the students, enjoyed a great teacher.
So glad you enjoyed it! 😊
The Nikon ZF has become my main fashion camera!
Nah you are an S9 shill
I love the ZF for my EDC, but my Z8 or Z9 are the professional tools.
Irene and Nikon = perfection
0% 3d pop
I Love the way you show the SOC and the edited image.
When the beauty of a young girl, breathtaking nature, and a Nikon ZF camera come together, it creates a sense of something extraordinary.
This is divine! The color, the light are just like in a fairy tale. Your photos Irene are inimitable.
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for giving us more inspiration to get out and shoot! I love all the sets, but my favorite would have to be the Fountain Images, loved them!
That’s always my hope, to get viewers inspired :)
Irene, you are an amazing photographer! Your photos are exquisite and the model is gorgeous!! Love your work!
The 135mm photos were next level!
I love the look and bokeh of the 135 too. But like her, don’t really want to be so far from the model. I wish I had the 85mm F1.2. It wasn’t out when I bought my 85.
Nikon Raw file is superb + superb photographer, what a combination
Beautiful images of a stunningly beautiful model
You are so amazing!!! beautiful photos Irene!!!!!! 👏👏👏 And what a beautiful location, the flowers are so dreamy!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!
Good looking model, great location & clothes, = very nice work. You use a stylist?
I style most of my shoots myself but this time Eden styled it
What a fantastic shots on nikon zf and nikkor lenses specially the Plena 135mm lens. Love all the shots. Superb.
We normally shoot with the Z8 and Z9 but started bringing the ZF with vintage lenses and the film modes for some in-between shots. Such a fun camera to use. I really like your work on these with the DOF!
No matter the brand, the focal length or the gear in general, you always get art in each portrait.
I love the Zf shutter clack!
Me too!
I cannot believe someone can capture stunning pictures like this. Really enjoyed this video. love your photography and post processing skills. Thanks for inspiration .
Beutiful & Talented model + Hardworking & Passionate Photographer = Superb & Amezing pictures 👌. I love all pictures 😍😍😍💐💐💐💐
Thank you so much 😀
Absolutely stunning!!!
Beautiful location and model. I enjoy how you express yourself encouraging the model as you work.
The fountain shots were my favorite, so beautiful!
Eden's eyes and Irene's vision; a perfect pairing!
Those fountain shots are absolutely stunning

I love absolutely them all. Really dreamy and romantic mood, simply a fantastic shooting and the model...wow absolutely awesome! Great job ❤❤
I love love love. Just perfection. Fantastic job Irene.
❤️❤️❤️🙏
You remind me of my first days with photography. very pure and beautiful. Wow, this classic beauty is adorable. pure nature. nice
Beautiful images, great job!!😍
Gorgeous images!! Loved this!!
i don't know how you cannot like plena - your pictures are amazing with it! In my opinion the best are done with plena
Thank you! I do like it it’s beautiful for sure, but personally anything longer than 85mm gives me too much compression in the background, so that’s what I don’t love.
I love your work, plain and simple, and inspiring.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for such a magical shoot Irene, you really turned the night into a fairytale🩷 I hope you found some seals before leaving the island!🦭

Great camera, lovely model, fantastic location and of course a superb photographer! I prefer the images taken with the plena, there is just some magic to it!
Well it’s definitely way more expensive 😂
@@IreneRudnyk yes it is😅

Very nice Irene.

I think black mist filters would add a magical touch to the images where the light in the photo is intense
love the images. these would look amazing with one of this mist lens filters and give it that dreamy misty vibe.
Beautiful images and video as always, Irene . I haven't used the ZF as yet, but love the retro look.
I appreciate you! thank you for this
So beautiful. Which metering mode do you use for backlit photos?
I always get this question but I don’t meter in camera, I just try to expose for highlights without underexposing the subjects too much. I just eyeball it
@@IreneRudnyk thank you. You're such an inspiration.
Plena is stunning. Stick with it
Hi Irene, I absolutely adore your work. Since there have been some significant developments with Photoshop, would you consider doing another photo editing video at all? 🥰
Nice work Irene!
These were stunning. You worked your incredible magic with a set up I love. I wish I didn't have to sell mine. 😥Stupid health.

So amazing!! I would love to see more public event photography with it being recorded just like you did with the Canon 28-70 f/2 😊
You mean taking pictures of strangers?
I freakn Rene at it again..... always love your work, especially the way you edit....
Nice the way the skin isn’t over smoothed out leaving look natural.

Belas fotos com a Nikon Zf 👏👏👏👏
Wow! amazing. I love your content ❤
Irene, where do you find all of you beautiful models? Every shoot has another stunner.
Social media usually
I wish I had a friend or someone who takes pictures as great as yours. What I have are friends who only take the best bad photos 😂😂
Gorgeous images!!
Beautiful shots
Oh how I wish I could attend your workshop in Calgary! I'm just in BC but I have a gallery show in August - can't be in 2 places at once!
I love the color
Неймовірно просто! Підписався з задоволенням 🔥🔥🔥

gorgeous image but surprised to learn that 135 is not what you like. to me the Nikon 135 plena and 200 f2 are two best lens i ever want to shoot for portraits.
85 is as far as I’m going, anything above just gives too much compression and you have to stand way too far from the model.
So beautiful!❤ How do you get so warm colors in shadow?
I usually set my kelvins manually, and focus on getting a good skin tone, and then some editing in photoshop . Also I really like Capture one for raw processing
Thank you!!!❤
This location 🤩
I know right? I wish I lived somewhere not as dry and cold as Calgary 😭😭😂
