Yes, love the voiceovers and the work. The box is beautiful, the drawers are buttery looking, the pretty three-legged table (yeah, when something goes back together 😅it's like magic) & the painted table. All wonderful. I like the design of the painted table. Thanks for the video, Tim! 😀
All great finishes. My favourite is hard to pick probably between the box and the octagonal table 😊 Yeah while the painted tea trolley had some nice ideas and did look nice painted solid wood never goes down well with people unless there is a really good reason, eg customer request or very poor condition and can't be saved in its natural condition. Tends to rile ppl up for some reason 😂 I don't object to painted have seen many of my favourite channels do it but I will admit the tea trolley wasn't really something for my taste but I am sure someone will love it and it will fit in perfectly in their home 😊
@@RhooseRestorations It does depend on the person. My sister would have loved the trolley if it had stayed the colour of the undercoat. Mind you she loves Ikea and probably would never watch a channel like this. She thinks I'm a bit cuckoo for liking old fashioned and outdated furniture. Me. I liked the end result. Sometimes a little paint helps accentuate the quality and grain of the timber, sometimes it is unnecessary.
@@RhooseRestorations I don't know...I went into it thinking ok, there's got to be _something_ good about this! 🤔 I think location is the key. This would be great in a kitsch-y, small kitchen with lots of color and different design patterns. It has its own elegance, and I think the paint job was well done; (good advice about the base coat being high quality to ensure the top coat looks good.) I especially liked the black and copper elements. I'm actually getting rather tired of the "always wood" ethos, when honestly it's a matter of choosing the background for the piece so that it is mutually enhancing both the piece and its environment.
I remember my first project. My father got a set of wooden framed bunk beds from military surplus. They were painted military green. I stripped all the green paint off, and left the wood bare and varnished them. They looked a lot better after.

Thanks for taking the time to watch. Painted furniture is always dangerous territory and I think I learned a lesson from it!!
