Very good job on the cabinet, it turned out very nice! Although the idea of preserving the original lights is tempting, I think that the electrical installation of the dollhouse would look very good if you updated it for modern LED lamps, which not only adapt much better to the scale but can operate at lower wattages. They do not generate heat and are therefore less dangerous. Would you be so kind as to enable subtitles please? Although I can understand almost everything you say, from time to time my English fails me and I need that help. Thank you.
@@RhooseRestorations Oh, I see they are enabled! I don't know what happened, at the time I checked, they weren't. My language is Spanish, but English subtitles are enough for me.
I am liking the way you are saying why you are doing something in your restorations. Nice veneer save today. If your plan is to restore the dolls house, rather than renovate, then keep the bakelite switches. The are an unusual feature that are not seen in more modern houses, in fact I have never seen the like before in person or in images. If they can be rewired to suit LEDs, even better. Even if you are planning a renovation, keeping at least one switch will maintain that link to the house's history. I am a dolls house fan/enthusiast but definitely live in the wrong place to do anything close to what you are doing. Second hand houses and furniture are few and far between here. Anything new, I need to make myself or import, including all furnishings. I have absolutely no objection to you doing a separate playlist on just the dolls house, but am also interested in your restorations. My preference is towards videos that explain so I can learn, no matter the subject matter.
Cupboard looked lovely once finished and the handles cleaned up gave it that final touch 😊 Much as I would love to say to try and get the original lighting sorted so you can use those bakelite switches as they do look lively unfortunately I would say safety wise you are probably better updating the whole system 😢
Merci. Avez-vous utilisé les sous-titres français ? J'essaie de les créer plutôt que d'utiliser la traduction UA-cam, ce qui peut être un peu aléatoire !!
The reveal in sunlight is great, but the starting point in sunlight would be a more just comparison. Lovely transformation!
Thanks, I'll bear that in mind
Thanks for saving the veneer. Looks great.😊
You’re welcome 😊

Thanks for the comments. Captions should be enabled, what language would you be using?

@@claudiap.4272 Great to hear that they are working! I create proper Spanish subtitles as nearly 5% of my viewers speak it!!
@@RhooseRestorations 😊
The poor thing looked like kindling until you used the polish. I’m glad you fixed it up.
It was looking pretty rough!
Awesome result, well done. The veneer problems is the main reason I usually only work on solid wood pieces, gives less problems.
Great point!

Thanks for the comment, I'll see if I can do some more videos on the dolls house
That’s a really nice piece of furniture and I’d keep the lights in the dollhouse if you can
I do a beautiful restoration job.
Congratulations for so much dedication.
Thank You
Now that was a restoration. It's a very handy storage cupboard that deserved every bit of the TLC you gave it.
Thank you
Excellent work!!!
Thanks a lot!
Beautiful! 😀 Great job on that veneer as well.
Thank you very much!
Is there a way you could update to LED lights, but keep the bakelite switches?
I'm beginning to think I'm making the wrong type of videos - every comment so far has been about the dolls house!! 😃
@@RhooseRestorations We can see what you did to the cupboard. But we all want to know what you've got planned for the dolls house 😆
Like a Surgeon You were Today. The Patient made a Complete and Beautiful Recovery! More Spider Cooties? You Can't Scare Me! I Can Take It! 😬
Thanks Robert, I'm not sure my wife can take any more spider cooties, goodness knows what I'll find in my hoover when I next empty it!!

Thanks, good point about safety, although those old switches are very cool!
I thought French polish was put on with a tightly folded cloth. Many coats.
You are correct if the polish is used as a final coat with a mirror finish. If it's going to be waxed as the final coat then it can be brushed on
c'est bon et c'est beau et c'est bien

Put LED bulbs in the dollhouse. The batteri9es will last a lot longer!
Thanks for the tip!
