first of all, i'm sorry if i make a mistake in writing, english is not my mother tongue. what an amazing video! i'm a 65 years old argentinian man whose parents were both motorcycle riders, then i rode as passenger even unborn ;) and i was enabled to drive at age 12. i loved the bikes since the first time i saw one in my house. i grew up seeing these amazing pilots, king kenny, freddie spencer, randy mamola, come on, you know who they were, too many to mention them all here. just to say i can't believe i'm watching Freddie Spencer himself driving and explaining what is doing, online and for free! i know for developed countries isn't that much, but in underdeveloped world where we at these times we had to spend a lot of money to buy expensive, two months late magazines, this is still incredible. what a wonderful time! thank you for publishing this stuff!

No antilock brakes, no traction control, no “launch/rider modes,” just pure mechanical equipment, and a man crazy enough to race it.

What a GREAT video. Thanks so much for putting this up. Love to see anything that features the older track at Laguna Seca. But the real gem here is all the footage of Freddie Spencer and the NS 500. Took balls of steel to race and win on those beasts!

Fantastic video, takes me back to the 80s when I was driving a Kawasaki GPz 900 r and had this Arai helmet Freedie wears in the video, good old times.👍🏻

What an incredible documentary and history lesson about the make up and controls of Motorbikes. Thanks to my Coach Mungo Motorbiker for introducing me this great channel via this video. You got some really classic uploads and I'm looking forward to watching some more of the videos.

He was a legend. Won the 250 & 500 world championship in the same year. Do you know how good he must have been. Two different riding styles on one day. 2 heat's in a row on race day!

@@peterkwakman7440 yes, unfortunately the three cylinder Hondas of Mamola , Ron Haslam, were not powerful enough to win except on rainy days. The point of the 85 season was a Honda Spencer 4cyl. , Yamaha Lawson 4cyl. Showdown with the remainder 3cyl riders as support .

By 85 the v4 was no longer a prototype. Really odd that Honda had to hobble their other riders with a bike so down on power. In 83 Spencer won the title on the bike, but there were other variables like tyres and Spencer's otherworldly talent at work. Mamola made the best of the bike he was handed whilst Haslam often started well and faded. If Gp's had lasted 12 laps, Ron might have won a few as he was at heart a short circuit scratcher.
By the time he got a V4 he was riding in a satellite team.

I was really hoping for some riding techniques and instruction from Fast Freddy and fortunately this is just a PR video. Not that it's bad to see 500cc bikes or Fast Freddy and action but really miss title and misleading. 👎
