Hi, my 306 doesn't brake on a steep hill. When it went to MOT it barely passed with almost 30% difference. I tried adjusting on the drums to make them more even and then adjusted the handbrake cable so it gets hard with 5-6 clicks. It's still not braking. I have to pull very hard like 8 clicks and push the brake pedal hard too so it stops but sometimes it still doesn't work as the car creeps down.
@screwsnutsandbolts the car was given to me recently and as far as it looks it's the originals from 99. I took the right drum off and it was all caked with brake dust and brake fluid, looks like it is leaking from the rubber boots at the cylinder. I spent all day adjusting them but I can't get it right. It feels like the adjuster is moving by itself every time I rotate the drum to check if it's too tight or not. I turn one time it's good, turn again it's loose, give some more clicks, it's good again, turn one more time it's too tight and it barely moves. When I finally got both around the same adjustment (slightly rubbing), I took the car for a ride and when coming, back the drums were very hot, lifted the car and the left wheel was locked and the right was hard to turn but it still turned. Adjusted again but it's going to happen again I bet. At least it's stopping at a steep hill now but I have to push very hard.
Momentan genau gleiches Problem mit der Handbremse. Hervoragende Anleitung zum Überprüfen des Problems. Danke. Aber dieser Elektroblock unter der Abdeckung ? Ist das Fahrzeug nicht ein 206 cc? Schalter für öffnen des Verdecks ?
I don’t know if you can help me, but for my Peugeot 306 when the rear left wheel is regulated correctly the right one locks way way more to the point Thant a can’t even turn it by hand when there’s no handbrake
Great detailed video! I have an issue of similar nature, the thing is that my right rear wheel doesn't brake similarly to the left and i'm not sure what exactly to adjust of where. Drums are pretty new for both wheels. Any ideas where should i check? Thanks
Ah, that sounds like more of an issue that just bleeding the brakes. There could be a leaking brake cylinder which may have contaminated the shoes or something else. You'll really need to take the drum off and see what's going on in there.
Good Info and detailed Video. Thanks for taking the time to make and upload.
Thank you :)
Thank you very much for your nice and instructive video :D

Have the brake shoes been changed recently ?

Thank you. I didn't know what that wiring block was, but this definitely wasn't a convertible 206cc 🙂
@@screwsnutsandbolts Thanks

Does this work for brake discs 2003 without ABS?

Is the equaliser plate pulling the two cables evenly or does it look like it has to pull one more than the other ?
Are they drum or disc rear brakes by the way ?

Have the brakes been bled ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts Hi, not as far as i know. Will start with that
Is it just the handbrake that works differently on each side or the rear brakes themselves when you press the brake pedal ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts It's for both brakes. Right wheel keeps spinning until i press the pedal (or raise the handbrake) harder

Здравейте! Бихте ли могли да направите клип за демонтаж / монтаж на предните седалки на PEUGEOT 206? Ще съм много благодарен!
I don't have the 206 any more, sorry !
Now you can do handbrake turns again
lol :)
Please new video

Yuo have to do it inside of rear wheel!
I use handbrake a lot, so I gotta adjust it. Shame on me.
2-3 clicks should hold the car.
