it wont mess up the paint, its rubber.. it wont harm the original paint.. i've had dozens of my cars dipped and peeled off with the paint looking as good as before i dipped them

God I love matte black plasti dip and the audi r8. My dreams are in this video.
Some badges are physically attached to the body piece with a pin or screw. The rest are essentially "car glued" on. You could remove the grill but it might take the same amount of time or more to remove, paint, and replace than it would be to mask it off and paint.

when they were washing it, neither side marker had been dipped yet.
"we just about thought we had the car completed when we saw we hadn't done anything with these amber side markers, here" so yeah, everyone noticed.
check 12:00, you'll see not even the left one had been done yet.
I have a honey comb style grill on my girls xB that I want to dip all white. Hope it comes out just as good.
I would have done the gas cap and the plate area then removed the DYC red sticker and had the gloss black DYC logo ghosted though the matte black. Looks good though
Why do you spray away from the car first? You should make a video about how to treat the cans sepcifiaclly and what you do to keep the tips from getting gunked up.

Both side markers were covered AFTER the wash. You can see that the left is still amber too at 12:00.

You should've gone with a gloss on the sidemarker since it will blend in with the car paint more
Hey folks i have a 300c crd and the grill is the mesh type with the spine down the centre, would plasti dip hold out alright on this??

I noticed you used the "old" nozzle for this. Is that because you're spraying just small parts? I would have done the rims too, though.

How long are you waiting between coats? Say the first light coat and then the other 5, can you help the process with a hair drier further away? Also I have an emblem but it has some water spots I can not remove, even if I clean it with dip spray should I be ok?

I dipped my audi A3's rims,front grill, badges and emblems black, the emblems are perfect but the back and front rings just wouldn't stay on, they warped and peeled up by themselves. any advice?

hey guys. love your videos. For audis, how did you cover the radiator? It is difficult to figure out to to lift off the cover piece between the grill and radiator in order to cover the radiator for dipping. I would appreciate your help

You said don't pressure wash your car for like 2 weeks so that the dip will set in. So what happened here?
