ipad 6th generation or ipad 7th generation - which one should you buy in 2020?
In this video I share my thoughts on whether you should purchase the ipad 6th generation with the assumption that it is a better deal because it is older than the ipad 7th.
The truth of the matter is that it really depends on whether you would like to purchase either one of these tablets used or brand new.
Keep in mind that both tablets provide essentially the same user experience; same form factor, similar performance, same chip and so forth
used and new ipads are for sale on Amazon, eBay and other websites, but you will see a very wide range of prices.

Yeah. If it is 128GB 6 vs 32GB 7 at the same-ish price just go with more storage.
I just bought the ipad 7th gen for $230 used but like new and I can't be happier with it, still in 2022 performing amazing!
Because of the RAM diff 7th gen opens apps where we left & 6th gen reboot apps little bit , but when speed is concerned 6th gen is faster than 7th gen...main diff is size ,1 GB extra ram & smart connector in 7th and price is $40-$50 diff

I got my 6gen ipad new at Walmart for about 280 bucks!! There must have been a deal haha but i was so happy!! Oddly enough, I’ve got a new upadate for iOS 13.5.1 😱
Just got a 6th gen in 2019 and then 7th gen was released but doesn’t make a difference gets my work done just fine

U guys are so lucky in the US. Here in india it's priced above $500. The 7th gen.
In UK (Northen Ireland) £320-£346) which works out at about $452.

For longevity, the 50% more ram is the selling point. More and more apps on the store are using up to 2gbs of ram. All 1gb models, tablets and phones are unable to use many apps. The ipad 6's ram amount may be good for now, but in the future i can see developers surpassing that. The 2gb models may not age well. And tbf, the screen size isn't a big deal nor is the smart connecter since the magic keyboard is basically 45% the cost of the tablet alone... Screen size and smart connector are just bonuses.

I'm in Korea, where the electronic prices are all bloated, including resale. I found a 6 and 7 gens, 128gb wifi, but about $100 difference. Great vid, price is definitely king here. If my kids break it (2 under 4), I'm not going to be as upset 😆

I found a new iPad 7th brand new for 350 and iPad 6 used 230$ which one is better to get ? I’m not a person who change theses stuff quick so I’m gonna have it for ever .
Dont get either one of those - instead, go get the ipad 8th, that one is newer and will cost you 330 for the base version (not sure why they wanna sell you the 7th gen for 350), and you will have 5 years of support starting this year.
6th gen is cheaper on the used market, they both have the same specs (except for a memory bump on the 7th gen) meaning the same software support. And the 9.7inch screen is an advantage for me. Why? Because Microsoft gives Office for free for devices with screen smaller than 10 inches.
Managed to snag a 128GB 6 with Pencil and a cover for just 340€, pretty nice if you ask me. Smart connector is useless considering how expensive the official keyboard is

Right now 6th refurb is £269 vs £339 Amazon’s new 7th
If I were in your shoes, I would go refurb from Apple. Youll pretty much get the same warranty + bells and whistles

I just got the 6 for 200 new today 128 gigs unlocked sim ,I was kinda sad when I found out it was “old”
It's not that old, especially in the world of Apple because each device gets about 5 years support, so you are still good👍🏾

They typically support their devices for a good 4-5 year. So looking at possibly 2023 or 2024
