Rippling the milk is a pretty advanced technique that needs properly textured milk. I would highly recommend they learn to pour a solid heart first followed by consistent stacked tulips before moving to rippling
@@prashantranganath4689 tbh I don't think rippling and stacking are related, one is about the vertical movement and pour speed, the other is about horizontal movement but I see your point
@prashantranganath4689 Yeah I know we should learn to do a proper heart first, but doesn't hurt to have a bit of fun sometimes! This was just for fun as I had the sudden urge to do that 😂 Just trying to keep this hobby alive without everything being too structured and following the 'rules' all the time hahah - Jon
I'm glad you are trying to make things taste better and having good luck with your adjustments! It's also really nice to see that you're able to comment on how your milk feels correctly. I commented about this yesterday, but perfect your hearts first!! Rippling before getting the fundamentals down is trying to run before you can walk. The order you should learn (after good milk) is hearts --> rippled hearts --> wing base --> wing base tulip --> etc.
Thank you! Yeah, I know the heart should be mastered first but I was just having a bit of fun here haha. Just trying to keep this hobby fun and break away from all the 'rules' once in a while hahah - Jon
@@thegroundedduo yes, it should be fun to pour! As long as you guys aren't getting frustrated, I'll be happy w/ whatever you guys do. It's been fun to watch you both learn
@@katniss3175 hahah I'd be lying if I said it hasn't been frustrating, which was why I decided to be ambitious 😂 But, I'll go back to doing hearts soon until I get frustrated again hahah. Thanks for the support though, we really appreciate it! - Jon
Hey, Jon.. Well done!!!!! Looks like its finally all coming together...... Just try to not over thing things... I think you're still fearing the steam wand a little... Banana!🍌😂😁
I would highly recommend using fresh coffee beans looking at the lack of crema. Additionally mugs with a sloped interior will better help with pouring latte art
The beans are actually about 2.5 weeks old from roast date, so they are still pretty fresh I think? Might try beans from another roastery in future, but thanks! - Jon
Hey John, unfortunately we don't have a link for it because we bought it on an app that's only available in Singapore. However, you should be able to find it easily on Amazon for something similar. It cost only about $7 USD, so it's kinda affordable. Hope that helps! :) - Jon
How good does that WDT look?! PERFECTION 👌🏻
Also nice to see you starting the wiggle on the latte art!
