I work at BMW and the 4 series is my favorite BMW car. But with the 4 Gran Coupe, as Jeremy Clarkson says about the 6 series Gran Coupe, it's a 4 door version, of a two door version, of a four door version.
Brandon Friesen does this car actually go 0-60 in 4.6 seconds? Does the 440i gran coupe do the same 0-60, or do you need to get a higher engine option, just wondering, thanks
So the 440 is more powerful than the 435 by a decent margin(300 vs 320hp) The 435 Coupe does 4.6, the 440 is 4.4, both are identical with 4WD or RWD. Then you can get and M Power Kit as an option for both the old 435, and new 440, which adds 35hp in both of them. So with the M Power Kit, take off another 0.2 seconds for your 0-60 time. So the M Performance Package for the 435 will be 325hp and do 0-60 in 4.4 seconds, and the 440 will be 355hp and do 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. But those are coupes, if you get the Gran Coupe, it's much heavier, so add 0.3 seconds to 60 for the 435 and 440 in gran coupe form. If you go cabriolet, it's even heavier so add on 0.5 seconds to 60. Lots to take in, but I hope this makes sense. The only model above the 435/440 with the M Performance Package will be the M4.
The 3 series is in kahoots with the 5 series and the 4 series is in kahoots with the 6 series hense why the 4 and the 6 have the gran coupe. it's the same with the x SUV's. All the even numbers are more wide, sleek and aggressive looking compared to the odd numbers
I wish there were more lower budget oriented cars here instead of just overly expensive german cars that im not intrested in. Its your channel but id watch it way more if there if there were cars for the people with budgets of some where from 10k-30k
Greenespirit yea but that shit is boring I don't want to know what poor people think is cool. Plus if you can't get a loan on a car worth $30k then you probably need to start looking at other channels
Asphodel You obviously dont know anything about cars then. I bet everyone of these cars tuned will beat whatever your drive. Also this channel was made to help people to choose their first car with a low budget. Ignorant car sheep smh
Asphodel Check out boostedboiz channel, He has 10k into his civic including the cost of the car stock and he is making 600hp. that will desimate any heavy ass luxury car you drive.
I have an e92 335i and i gotta say while the f32 435i is great there's just something about the e92 335i that makes it special that's beyond looks and power, gotta love it.
The 4 series was differentiated from the 3 series coupe to compete with the Audi A5 as a standalone model. Along with that came the 4 series gran coupe to compete with the Audi A5 sport back, a four door hatch back, which wasn't available in North America in the last generation but will be with the new one.
Well Merc really needed to redesign their interiors. They looked really aged. At least BMW interiors still look great and are incredibly functional. The LCI now has a full digital instrument cluster option.
Bob Cheesy well yeah I'm talking about their interiors previous to the update. That's what he's talking about in the video. Merc was desperately due for an update and they did it. It looks good now. But I'm saying BMWs changes have been subtle because it consistantly works great and still looks good at the same time.
Every time you review a new car I go and start checking prices. Then I remember I'm only a 21 year old student with thousands of dollars of loans... *Upside down smiley face*
some of the greatest-less produced reviews i've ever seen. Believe me, I've been reading and watching reviews in 4 different languages since 6 years old... Amazing job there
The 4 series is great, and maybe I'm a bit biased as an F30 335 owner, but there's no denying that the 3 series is amazing too, especially in estoril blue!
Great car! I cant wait to own it for ~15k$ in couple of years. I prefer maintaining it repairing it as much as i can rather than be the guy who gets the astronomical depreciation hit.
That interior is perfect for a drivers car with enough knobs and buttons for the daily used functions, instead of putting almost all functions in a touch screen. And with today's customer demand to have 2-3 cars in one and luxury being very important for them, these cars must have a quiet cabin to be pleasing. Specially considering the prices in this segment.
Ziggy You can't steal someone's titles. They are both car channels. Doug's titles might have worked better, or have been for a specific video. I never knew Doug copyrighted car reviews.
Parker, your reviews are getting great. I'd love to see more reviews on the channel. As others are saying some older and more affordable cars would be welcome.
Michael Cohen no one is interested in old cars so you go visit old videos to find what you need cause Parker will lose views if he does that take that dude in blue's mg video for example
I'm talking 90s and 2000s like his M5 and E46 M3. There are a lot of cars from the that have depreciated and in many ways better than new cars for the same money. I understand the value proposition of porn (latest Lambo) but I'm interested in things I can attain too.
Very good review dude, very objective. I's just curious how old are you because I saw a video when you said that you have no time on your hands and you're busy with school. Again, I love your reviews and keep up the good work. Regards
I honestly was not a fan of BMW interiors until I drove the new X5 M Sport for a few days. Idk it's hard to explain but the interior just works. The seats are comfy and infinitely adjustable. The Harmon Kardon system is banging. iDrive is dead easy to use and extremely intuitive. The gauges are crisp and clear. You never even have to take your eyes off the road cause the HUD let's you see your speed, scroll through music, etc. The steering wheel feels good in your hand everything just feels nice. It's one of those things you have to experience to appreciate.
+SoccerBoi500 and sadly that is something most people commenting here won't get to experience as they are too busy salivating over shiny flashy Merc. interiors.
Quietbut_Deadly It's technically a 4 door hatchback because the trunk hinge is above the rear window, but BMW refuses to sell anything labeled as a hatchback in America (because us Americans for some reason have decided we hate them). It's a shame too, because I'd love to get an M135i hatch.
I've always thought it was a manual transmission shy of perfection. One apparent benefit to an insulated cabin - your voice comes in clear as a bell at every bitrate, whether at home on my desktop through a SoundBlaster or when trucking on my beat up Moto G. Try this with exhaust notes: When EA wants to capture the 'spirit' of the exhaust tones for Need for Speed, they put the mic in the trunk/boot. Try a couple miles of driving with a mic above and below the mat. With any European car, gratuitous exhaust reels are appreciated.
Parker!! You are getting better and better at this. Keep up the good work buddy. Wouldn't be surprised if BBC picked you up for your own show in the near future ;)
The downside about the coupe design is that you have a higher window line, limiting visibility for the passengers compared to the standard windows on the 3 series.
Ah, there's nothing quite like a four-door coupe. My father owns a 2007 CLS 63 AMG and it's simply gorgeous, not to mention fast as hell. Maybe one day I will inherit it and tear shit up myself. Great vehicles, the CLS, A7, and Gran Coupes.
Karo Galadzhyan GS350 feels way more luxurious than the bmws, (ik because my family has a 2017 GS350 AWD) it's pretty sporty but not too fast tbh. The stereo jams tho (base 12 speaker system sounds better than the Bose in our old 14' Escalade). The E300 has the best interior by far but it feels slow and not very sporty. Have you looked at the C43? It's in the price range, it's fast, and the interior is the best besides the GS and the E300.
Apparently, BMW changed their nomenclature in the sense that unpair numbers like the 1 series, 3 series, 5 series etc. are the more classic kind of cars, whereas pair numbers 2 series, 4 series, 6 series, X6 etc. are more emotional "special" cars. Also the 4 series, was called that way as, as the number is superior to 3, it gives the customer some kind of superiority feeling, like the feeling of getting a car of a higher class.
I just bought a 2016 BMW 428i Gran Coupe and I'm in love with it....although it's the slower version, the sport and sport+ modes are pretty damn great with absolutely amazing throttle response. The only thing I wish would've improved is the graphics on the display. The dynamic headlights are amazing, looks are amazing, 50-50 weight distribution is a huge characteristic and the HUD is very very practical. You can get a used 4 series in the upper $20 grand with less than 20,000 miles. I'd highly recommend looking at it.
So do you like the E92 335i more? Your review of that car was nothing but praise, is this car not quite as special as that car was or are you just used to better and faster cars now?
Hey but I have a serious question and would be grateful for an answer... I have 2 cars right now a GTI and a GT4. I really enjoy both cars but I am moving to a big city and will have 2 car tandem parking. So the GT4 will rarely get driven, so I am debating selling them both and getting just one car and I am thinking 435i or 440i gran coupe (I cycle and surf) so it makes sense. Would be grateful for some feed back.
well, quieter interiors in cars would be helpful to me since I am hearing impaired and with a mazda, you dont really have that kind of silence from the outdoor environment. I cannot hear and understand my friends or family a lot of the times when in the cars, because I usually hear background noise a whole lot more than voices such as the car engine sound, outdoor environment, wind, AC, etc. Since you say the interior for the 4 series (in the 435i for instance) is quiet or more quiet than other car interiors, and if it's true, I'll be adding it to my list of cars in the future to get.
Does the engine sound good because of programmed reproduction through the speakers or because they have plumbed a sound tube like Ford did with the Mustang?
I'm pretty sure you're a merc fanboy because everybody out there says the merc's entertainment system is just not quite cutting it. Many prefer BMW's iDrive and says it's so much easier to use and looks so much nicer. S class may be exception though... just maybe.
AMG or BUST he does not address if it does or not. Im asking because apparently the cars with the fog lights in front are not equipped with it, I just want a confirmation.
How tall are you Parker? I am 5'11" and I fit in the back of a 4 GC just fine. Sure, if I sat completely straight up, my hair touched the ceiling, but that's now how I sit. :P
I love my 3 series, but BMW as a brand is a bit too laid back for me design wise... I like more flash on my cars personally, but BMW makes a fantastic car. The 4 series is great in so many ways, and seeing it's stance in person deserves a double take. Good shit Parker
i was going to traning this morning, and some dude in a blasc 740i was roling next to me and i said " nice ride man" and he honked and pulled out a tad and did a huge burnout infron of a police station
00:46 that noise still haunts me from every time my 335i broke
ptsd to my m235i’s accident LOL

Brandon Friesen 300+35=335 :) Maybe this is a sign to buy a 3 series! Btw I thought the stock 435i is 305 hp.. (?)
@@brandonfriesen5389 Is the 4.40i gran coupe almost head to head with the m4 speedwise?
Hazim Akbatur It keeps up with the M4 because of the AWD
i washed this car after you drove this today at grand blanc motorcars. As well did the porter special on your s class
+Jared Suddeth thanks :)!!
Vehicle Virgins oh, hi Parker
ppl in michigan are so nice
well its my job to wash cars when they come in. has nothing to do with being nice haha

4.6 sec to 60? Shits faster than my e60 M5...*puts m5 up for sale on Craigslist*
Alex Gray nothing beats that V10 sound 😍
Alex Gray e60 m5 is the best sounding bmw hands down
Alex Gray Thats because you have wheelspin af
Thats AWD for you.
I just checked the specs , and you are right, how the fuck is that even possible.300 hp beats 500 hp???? it is weird and impressive at the same time.
That Doug DeMuro title tho, but he's right.

PARKER...LIKE LITERALLY YOUR BEST REVIEW
A four door version of a two door version of a four door car.
Go home bmw, you drunk.
Almost correct. This is a five door car.
Lol yep
So 3 series sedan and 4 series sedan is the universe imploding
The 3 series is in kahoots with the 5 series and the 4 series is in kahoots with the 6 series hense why the 4 and the 6 have the gran coupe. it's the same with the x SUV's. All the even numbers are more wide, sleek and aggressive looking compared to the odd numbers
The 3 series should look like this honestly.
Why the hell is this just not called the M435i? If the 2 series can pull it off, the 4 should be able to do the same
wouldnt an m4 gran coupe be dope af?
Isaiah Deshazier its been my dream for ages
Sooo basically drop the 3 series lol
An m3 wagon touring in USA would be excellent

I will always love my E34 5 series. That car ran forever well above 200k even though I drove it 60 miles+ a day.
Henry. Exatly i was about to say that
Henry. They are starting to put their S-Class interior into vehicles.
Henry. what are you talking about? have you been in the world for the past 2 years? all Mercs interiors have set a new premium for luxury cars.
Henry. I mean C E and S class are redesigned so Idk what you're talking about. The suvs though, other the GLC are in need of a new interior
Bob Cheesy well yeah I'm talking about their interiors previous to the update. That's what he's talking about in the video. Merc was desperately due for an update and they did it. It looks good now. Maybe it's Eddie's dream to be bent over a 435i

S Gabriel and We traded our M135i for a new M140i ans the speed difference is unreal.

Phuque UA-cam I bought mine for 12500 lol with 70k miles
its now time to enjoy hehe
Honestly if you wanted a sports car and with the way this 440 would be optioned, you might as well get an M3
That interior is perfect for a drivers car with enough knobs and buttons for the daily used functions, instead of putting almost all functions in a touch screen. should i get this with xdrive or not? The weather is quite harsh in sweden but does the xdrive ruin the playfulness of the car too much?
This is very accurate and why I really want a 435i Gran Coupe.

That all black interior made my heart melt. I’m definitely getting this car next week. Was gonna go with 3 series but I like this
It's a coupe with 4 doors. So a sedan?
Quietbut_Deadly It's technically a 4 door hatchback because the trunk hinge is above the rear window, but BMW refuses to sell anything labeled as a hatchback in America (because us Americans for some reason have decided we hate them). It's a shame too, because I'd love to get an M135i hatch.
Why Is Water Wet a convertible converts from one thing to another and back
It doesn't have 4 doors, it has 5 doors, that's the whole point.
Quietbut_Deadly gran coupe=sedan
gran coupe=sedan with sloping roof
I've always thought it was a manual transmission shy of perfection.

your reviews are actually really good now. You need an LA make over and a channel name rebrand.
THE Man knows about the car i can tell you well done
Gran coupe is a nicer looking car!
I do suspect that some engine noise are played through the speakers when you floor it just like many other modern BMWs
This guy does the best reviews
Awesome! Been waiting to see videos on the 435 for a while now, thanks!
Parker!! You are getting better and better at this. Keep up the good work buddy. Wouldn't be surprised if BBC picked you up for your own show in the near future ;)
The downside about the coupe design is that you have a higher window line, limiting visibility for the passengers compared to the standard windows on the 3 series.
What a great video... editing skills are amazing. Awesome job!

So...are we not going to talk about eddies disappearance??
Why does it seat so high? Small wheels?
So do you like the E92 335i more? Your review of that car was nothing but praise, is this car not quite as special as that car was or are you just used to better and faster cars now?
Hey but I have a serious question and would be grateful for an answer... I have 2 cars right now a GTI and a GT4. I really enjoy both cars but I am moving to a big city and will have 2 car tandem parking. So the GT4 will rarely get driven, so I am debating selling them both and getting just one car and I am thinking 435i or 440i gran coupe (I cycle and surf) so it makes sense. Would be grateful for some feed back.
This video made me look into this car. And I'm getting one next week. Can't wait!
Just got one, so hyped for this new whip ✊🏽
Still have it?
well, quieter interiors in cars would be helpful to me since I am hearing impaired and with a mazda, you dont really have that kind of silence from the outdoor environment. You're one of the easiest to confuse people out there. Even the very simple, very intuitive iDrive system is hard work for you.
sounds pretty good surprisingly, must be the amplified audio through the speakers though sadly.. Miss those good old NA bmws i6s
Andrew Kerman That’s only with the M4
I can assure you it's not. I tried it in person today, convertible
The tail lights in the refreshed 3 series is so much nicer to look at
Is that Perrelet watch?
is that a hatchback ? the rear window opens up with the trunk ,thats a hatchback? right?
Parker please do some reviews on some supras or kind of old classic cars that are fast
Great review! 👍🏻
You forgot the disclaimer, so I'll add it for you.
Disclaimer:
No blinkers where used during the making of this video.
What happened to the better mic? why sound so bad?
The rear lights on the 4 series are insulting when everyone else is doing full led units! This is why I picked the 6 over the 4!
Does the engine sound good because of programmed reproduction through the speakers or because they have plumbed a sound tube like Ford did with the Mustang?
I have a 335i and it seems pretty similar to this one other than the widened stance. is that the main difference?
More useful boot and sexier frameless windows: well worth the price difference with a 3-series!
is there going to be a "5 reasons why i dislike the 435i" lol 😀
The sequential type shifter comes in handy for snow drifting
I WANT AMBIDEXTROUS PEDAL OPTIONS. I WANT TO PUSH A BUTTON FOR LEFT FOOT GAS PEDAL OR RIGHT FOOT GAS PEDAL.
I'm pretty sure you're a merc fanboy because everybody out there says the merc's entertainment system is just not quite cutting it. Many prefer BMW's iDrive and says it's so much easier to use and looks so much nicer. S class may be exception though... just maybe.

So this is the 4 door version of the 2 door version of the 4 door car. Brilliant. Why not skip 2 steps and call this the 3 series?
I would have thought 3 Grand Coupe may have made more sense, but who knows.
Rear Seat legroom vs f30?
I love my 3 series, but BMW as a brand is a bit too laid back for me design wise... I like more flash on my cars personally, but BMW makes a fantastic car. The 4 series is great in so many ways, and seeing it's stance in person deserves a double take. Good shit Parker
Can you review the new generation Jaguar XJR?
Can you do the mercedes cls or cls SB?
i was going to traning this morning, and some dude in a blasc 740i was roling next to me and i said " nice ride man" and he honked and pulled out a tad and did a huge burnout infron of a police station
Best looking sedan on the road.
Parker I love your videos!
Saw your car at the auto show today💚
Do a Honda Accord Sport... or the V6 Model
Raj Ghuman yes v6 accord
it literally is one of the best cars to own for majority of the people looking for semi luxury vehicle at the best price
I would rather get a Merc e class...
That speedometer is awesome..love that..good to see bmw stick with there old style
Mahin Ahmed don't you mean c class as the E class is quite a bit more expensive than the 4er, the E class is more like a 5er
