People are buying the 4-Series Gran Coupe over the 3-Series because of its superior exterior aesthetic. It’s way meaner and sportier looking. Also, 4 is higher than 3. People wanna flex the 4 over the 3 just instinctively; with or without knowledge on anything else.
Honestly, I was looking into a 3-series wagon, but the problem is that those only get the inline 4 in the US. Now I'm strongly considering the gran coupe just because I occasionally find that, while the cargo space of a 3-series sedan is big enough to accommodate most everything I want to transport, the actual opening into it is not...and I want an inline 6, both for the extra power and the fact that they tend to be BMW's more reliable engines.
Was in the market for a new car and wasn't even looking at BMWs until I saw the 435i Gran coupe and fell in love with it. Bought it that day. for reference I'm 5-10 and weigh about 275 and I fit in at just fine both front and back.
Just bought one today. At 5-11 185”, there’s a shit ton of room front and back for me. But considering it’s amazing trunk and more-than-large-enough back row space, it’s a way better family car than the standard 3 series. The improved styling is just the icing on the cake!
The 3 and 4 interiors are virtually identical. The 4 in this video has the digital dash and the 3 in this video has the fake wood trim....but if the had the same gauge cluster and interior trim colour, I doubt you could tell the difference.
I just bought a 4 gran coupe. I'm 6' tall and still have some entry room in the front. Back is ok. It was a bit more expensive, but it's just a much better looking car... I wanted a coupe but hated having to deal with two doors in my last car. This solved both these problems. Plus its a hatch..? I was just so much more impressed than an ordinary sedan 3.
I bought the GC about a year ago. We were looking at the 3-series and the C Merc too, but the looks of the GC was thing we fell for. It sure is fun to drive and handles well too! Hatchback suits our needs, that's one of the reasons... But the looks!
We have a 2016 428i GC and I love it. The coupe looks way better than the 3 and I believe it’s more practical from a cargo perspective. The lift gate means I can squeeze awkward or larger objects than I’d ever get into a 3 sedan. I’m 6’3” too and no issues driving or in passenger seat. I wouldn’t want to be in the back though.

Thanks for the comparison! Nice job! I always wondered why BMW would build and market two almost identical cars, but the video shows more significant differences than you seem to appreciate, in my opinion. I see a lot of exterior design differences. I saw one review that said the only panel the cars share is the hood, and I think the rest of the exterior shows in a more aggressive and sleek look in the 4 series. The 3 series is just more conservative (albeit with much better seating). I just ordered a 2020 440i coupe, which presents an even a more aggressive stance over the conservative 3 series and the 4 series GC. I also ordered a manual transmission, which is what brought me to the 440i coupe in the first place. We need more manuals!!!!
Congrats on the purchase! We just wrapped up a week in the 2020 M4 Cabriolet and I found the interior seating position to be seriously good, overall everything about the way the 4 Series Coupé works is well engineered. Enjoy it once it arrives!
3 series is a fleet car for police or corporate fleets, it's a Passat, C Class competitior nothing more. 4 series is for people who want a cool personal car.
I was fanboying over the amazing looks of the 4 series with the m sport package for the last few months and came really close to buying it, but you helped me decide not to go for either of those two cars. Problem: I'm 194 cm or almost 6'4 and I intended to use it as a daily driver, so the lack of space could be very problematic for me. Think I'll just go for the 5 series instead. Thank you again for this amazing review!
Double check how you fit in the 5 Series, I find all the current executive cars have a weird seating position, where it doesn’t feel that much bigger than the compact cars.
Best way to choose between the 3 and the 4: If you need to drive people around that sit in the back seat often then go with the 3. If you don't drive people around at all or rarely use the back seat then go with the 4.
I drove the 3 and hated it. It felt cheaper than I wanted it to be. And it felt like a sedan... I hated how low the floors were when I sat in it, where-as the 4 felt more sporty and what most people call on here “sexy.” It feels more like a sports car that is more adaptable over the 3. I am 6’1 and sit fine in the front and back of my 4 series gran coupe. The interiors look identical however the feel is definitely different to me. The seats in the back are designed differently as well. The exteriors look completely different except for the headlights, kidney grills, and the design in the taillights. Even though the specs between the 30’s are the same, I am glad I purchased the 4.
Glad you liked it, and awesome that it helped you pick the one you wanted! It’s a video I’ve wanted to do ever since the 4 Series Gran Coupé was launched.
I Have a 2019 / 20 BMW 430 X drive Gran Coupe, I am 6 ft tall, the car has excellent leg room..its really cool BUT at my age (very athletic..early 70s) you have to bend a lot to get in as it sits so low..but well worth it..For a 4 cyl it flies with its 8 speed auto. Nice car

14:03 Thanks for this - you helped make up my mind! Keep squeezing yourself into cars please, it gives a more realistic idea of space & comfort than most reviews. Would also be helpful to see ingress & egress...
A lot of enthusiasts will boast that a 50/50 weight distribution is ideal for performance driving, it's something BMW still focuses on, along with other sport-oriented vehicles from other manufacturers.
The gran coupe looks soo much better. The slimmer grill, the front fender vents, the front spoiler, the frameless windows, the side profile while only minor in my opinion does look better. All these with the practicality of the hatch. F36 everyday of the week for me. Only downside is the extra coin. My current dream car is a F36 340i
I think both of these will be very popular in the resale market, one of the reasons we still wanted to film the F30 now despite the G20 overshadowing it.
I can appreciate the (very) small differences, but I still don't think they justify having an entirely separate model line. BMW has gone crazy with the lineups and it makes each product a less unique as a result. You could combine elements of both the 3 and 4 and sell it as the 3. I would have updated the F30 3-series to have more of the sportback look offered in the 4, and then diversify with particular trims
It's insane how many vehicles BMW has in their lineup now. I bet if you told their management team 25 years ago that in 2020 BMW would have 8 different nameplates for cars, 7 for their SUVs, two electrics, a roadster, they'd laugh at you. Here in Canada they sell 22 'different' cars, not including the M vehicles they list as separate cars.
Well done, Nile. Extremely informative. I haven't subscribed to Car and Driver in, at least, ten years. As a result, it's hard for me to stay on top of the variations of some car lines, particularly BMW. I rely on your videos to clear up these murky waters for me. And, I love watching the classic car reviews, too. Nothing like being able to scratch the old nostalgia bone now and then. :-)
Thanks, I really appreciate hearing that! We're hoping we can do more of the classic stuff in 2019, the few episodes we filmed in spring ended up doing very well, but the two recent ones not so much. Either way we're going to see what we can make happen in April!
I'm pretty sure the hatch style trunk on the 4 series is the big seller and why people are buying them. I'm debating getting a 4 series over a 3 series because of the massive trunk and versatility it provides like a hatchback
There's definitely that factor! Unlike some of the Coupe style SUVs that only make the vehicles less functional, something like the 4 Series takes an already-functional design and enhances it slightly.
Identical. That microscopic difference in weight distribution isn't enough to make a serious difference for daily driving. If anything the 4 GC might have a higher interior cabin noise since the windows don't close quite as flush as you'd get with the sedan's traditional framed windows.
I had a 5 series last time, but was always plagued with the fixed rear seats. Sometimes I feel like I need an SUV, but I definitely don't want to drive one. I'm 5'10" and weigh 180, so the 4 series is a great fir for me. I sat in the back, just to see what it's like, and I fit back there too, even behind my seat set to my driving position. It's a 3 series on the bottom, but the green house looks way better. The whole package does really well in the looks department with the right wheels and color combo. My car has 19's, all the options - including HUD, Harman Kardon, NAV and all the safety gear. My 5 series had a stock stereo (which was still great) and didn't have comfort access or the HUD. It was bigger and had a V6, but I still like the 4 series better overall. If you're not big or tall, the drawbacks of this model don't matter, and the bonuses are really nice. Looks great, you can fit a bunch of stuff in it if you have to, it's nimble, and did I mention that it looks great?
It terms of looks I have no idea why people ever mention the c class in the same sentence as a 4 series, the gran coupe is 100 times nicer looking car.
Thanks for this! Was wondering about the difference. I am 6ft, 210 lbs and I love the 4 series! 3 series is kinda basic but thx for pointing out the headroom!
The thing is that the 4 series looks better . I owned two 3 series and now I drive the 4 , I remember back in 2014 when I first saw it , I fell in love and ended up trading the 328 for the 430 I...too sexy imo
4 series look so much nicer, but dont like the blue. In my opinion the 4 series looks best in silver or grey...👌🏻 so much classier than the 3 series Also great review, thanks
PRN_TestDrive Overall, I do, but I have minor quibbles like anyone else. I dislike that the size keeps growing since the 3 is now the size of older 5’s without anything smaller to properly take its place, but they have kept the overall proportions the same. I don’t like the changes to the side body crease lines, they don’t seem to flow as well. I think the more geometric look is OK, but it lacks the elegance you find in the curves of the E46’s and E90’s.
I don’t understand 1 thing why the 4 series is with those headlights.if im correct the lci starts frim 2017 and it has the new bmw angel eyes that are not full circles ?
I would rather spend the higher price different which car-sellers ask for the 4 series and buy the cheaper 3 series with lot's of options instead of paying a higher price tag just for a "sportier look". For the dayli driving you won`t even notice any difference from these 2 cars. The interior is identical and that's why i took the 3 series back than. For me what makes a car is on the inside. You get bored after 4 - 9 month from the exterior anyway. So better invest the money in good technology with resale value instead of the look.
No offense...good video and all but... Not sure if you are blind or something but E46 coupe and sedan are not the same up front and back. e90 and e92 are also not the same up front and back. Same Goes for the F series 3er and 4er... They are totally different cars both in front and in the back... You can tell right away which is the 4 series and which is the 3 series the same way you could always tell which 3 series is a coupe and which is a sedan without seeing the side of the car....On all the mentioned e46, e9x and F3x series cars also the headlights and taillights are different they do not fit on one another...
Great video! Also a question: I want to buy a new car and cant choose between these to cars. With my budget (20k-25k) i can buy a 3 serie sedan from 2017/2018 or a 4 serie gran coupe from 2014/2015. I do like the 4 serie gran coupe more as it looks a bit more sporty. I want to keep the car for like 6-8 years. Which one do you advice? Hope you can help me out.
I got the 430i 2 door. No contest on the looks as the 2 door is the best looking by far. In terms of practicality it's not bad either, I get a 180cm plasterboard in the boot when the rear seats are folded down. And the boot size is 445 litres which is just 35 litres less than the 3-series. I do not regret getting the car and enjoy every mile driving it. I have owned it for 18 months and it's been faultless so far, as I would expect. Would of course love the 440, but the cost of fuel makes the 430 more acceptable. And it's more than fast enough.
Agreed! I always thought they were the same with tiny changes here and there, in fact I hadn't really bothered looking into the 4GC before this, I had no idea it had the frameless windows or fastback trunk!
Very detailed comparisons thanks. Im considering the 4 becos of the hatchback type opening. that's super practical. Also no wonder 4 is prettier from the outside. One more minor thing I noticed from your videos is the rear door opening of the 4 is smaller than that of the 3 by quite some margin. another practicality issue i guess.
The doors don't open quite as wide, but with the frameless windows you have the potential of easier entry during the warmer weather if you have the windows down.
I bought the F36 4 Gran Coupe just because it looks better In my opinion , got M performance parts fitted with 20 inch Rotiform wheels and its looking so mean. Glad I bought it instead of the F32
You commented that the front ends look the same. To my eyes, they are very different. 4 series has a longer hood, nose is more tapered, kidney grille has different geometry. Also I’m 6’3” and drive a 2017 340, and I have much more headroom than 1 inch! Lower the seat! I could clearly see from the interior shot that the drivers seat was jacked up. Why complain about headroom when the seat is jacked up? I suspect the 4 series headroom is just fine if the seat is appropriately adjusted for the driver.
Glad you liked it, thanks! Driver seat on both cars were as low as they go, it's something I do immediately before even bothering to get into a car is to put the seat as low as possible and adjust from there, this 3 Series is no different.
Thanks for the great comparisson video! Answers to your 2 questions: 1) you have less room in the coupe due to the lower roofline which is directly pressing on your head, but also makes you move the front seat lower and more to the back, so less leg room. 2) People are buying it mostly for the boot opening. This is how I am looking at this car now and it didn't even exist much for me before seeing it's a hatchback.
Glad you liked it, thanks! That rear opening trunk on the 4 series is a definite win for me too, provides a lot of extra space to get larger items in with ease.
4 series does offer "better" styling. That's worth $5k. Of course, I love that you're filming this review of a couple of $60k cars in front of the Dollarama. Makes quite the statement.
4 series all the way. As long as the people in the back aren't over 6ft then it's fine. The styling of the 4 is way better. Worlds better. The 3, 5, and 7 are some of the most boring looking cars on the road. A Camry looks more interesting for real. The 4 gc, 8 series, and i8 are objectively the only not ugly things bmw makes. Even the 6 series gc is silly looking, rear side window is too long and doesn't match.
@@PRNTestDrive This isn't an argument brothers! personally im in the market and seat comfort is soooooo important. to me its not a detail but a fundamental part of the drive experience.. God bless and good job!
I have a 2018 F32, so I have to say I prefer the F36 (4 series GC) to the F30 (3 series). One other small difference I noted between the two is the shifter. Mine is like the F36 (makes sense). What is different about the F30, and why?
The F30 we had didn’t have the Sport transmission so the shifter was just slightly different. Ideally we would have found an F30 M Sport Edition II also in Estoril Blue with the sport transmission.
it's as if all of them are just adding models just for the heck of it. now there's supposed to be an 8 series gran coupe as well?? give me a break with the even numbered bubbly sedans. the 6GC is nice and that's enough
It wouldn't surprise us if the 8 Series ends up getting a GC also. We see way more 6er GCs here in Canada than the 6 Series Coupé, and the M850i cabrio is getting it's Canadian debut at the Montreal Auto Show next month.
@@PRNTestDrive Great bro. For me it has always been the fear of the unknown when it came to BMW.. reliability issues. However, for the first time, I'm really digging the new 2019 330i and I even called BMW to inquire about their warranties. I have one question, my neighbor has a 2013 5 series M package not sure which one exactly since the badge was removed, she said she uses regular gas which I know can cause some problems at some point.. Is it okay for her to be using regular gas?
The engine wont run as efficiently, I'm not really sure if any long term damage or problems can arise, I know there's a lot of discussion about fuel type online. Every BMW engine I've come across states that some level of premium or mid-grade gas is required as a minimum, and always premium as the recommended.
@@PRNTestDriveThanks for the information.. I hope she is not doing any damage to her engine by using regular gas. I'm definitely looking forward to your 2019 330i review.. can't wait...lol
It was very detailed review thanks , I owned 2014 328 F30 now I'm driving F36 428 , basically if you are not car guy they look same , but only the hood is common part for both , also interior quality is way better in 4 series . Mileage was better in 3 series because of less weight . The only real advantage for F30 is acceleration , 3 series was damn quick .
Thanks for this. It really showed the few differences well. The rear headroom and load in tightness is tough trade to make, but the liftback convenience can't be ignored! Though, I really just wish they had made a 6 cylinder wagon, or a wagon at all these days.
I hear you about the wagons, the few I've driven over the past few years are always great alternatives to SUVs. I do spot some of these F30s in wagon form on the road here, usually as 328i models. Here in Canada we also get the Mercedes-Benz C-Class wagon which is a nice plus for our market!
Four years later ... The cockpit experience is completely different. The 430 is much sleeker and sportier than the 330. You feel like you sit a lot lower in the 430 and more reclined. The 330 feels like a family sedan; the 430 feels like a personal sports car. The 330 has gotten boring; the 430 is spectacular.
It's the reason I wanted to make this episode happen, ever since the 4 Series Gran Coupé was announced I wanted to know what made a 4 door version of the 2 door version different from the 4 door version it's based off of.
I'm not sure how you feel the front seat room in the 4-series is lacking. I have a 440i, (which is essentially just the 6-cyliner version of the 430i) and am almost 6'3" and I've got head and leg room to spare? As the matter of fact, if I put my seat in the lowest position, I have to raise it anywhere from an inch, to an inch and a half before I come anywhere close feeling my hair barely brushing the roofline.....and I sit fairly upright. Same goes for leg room. I've still got a good inch to inch and a half left of the seat track by the time I have my seat situated in the most comfortable driving position.
@@PRNTestDrive I agree, but that's a pretty big difference in height and experience? You must have an abnormally long torso and like to control the pedals with your tippy toes? lol
The easiest way to distinguish between the two is -
if you see a good looking 3 series on the road, it is a 4 series.
LOL, there ya go!
That is true....
with exception of that blue 335i sooo goodlooking..
So true !😀

I like the 4 series front end, but the 3 series back end a little better
Gran coupe is one of the best car ever. Very beautiful and sexy. Loving mine to the fullest. You need to see it in white and red seats 🤩🤩🤩🤩👍🏽
The f32 is even better
Great video buddy amazing review.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
I’m 6”3 and the 4 series GC is absolutely fine for me
Glad to hear it!
14:03 Thanks for this - you helped make up my mind!
Keep squeezing yourself into cars please, it gives a more realistic idea of space & comfort than most reviews.
Would also be helpful to see ingress & egress...
I definitely will!
Lol nobodies buying a car over weight distribution 🤣
A lot of enthusiasts will boast that a 50/50 weight distribution is ideal for performance driving, it's something BMW still focuses on, along with other sport-oriented vehicles from other manufacturers.
PRN_TestDrive basically all cars have that now, to debate a percentage would be hilarious
The gran coupe looks soo much better. The slimmer grill, the front fender vents, the front spoiler, the frameless windows, the side profile while only minor in my opinion does look better. All these with the practicality of the hatch.
F36 everyday of the week for me. Only downside is the extra coin.
My current dream car is a F36 340i
Well said! I’m curious to see what the next generation 4 Series will look like.
4 gran gang. It’s for petite badass moms with a small child and few friends. All I need is trunk space for hella groceries and tjmaxx hauls.
Facts lol. Motivation to get in shape!
what about home goods
Always have loved the 4 series and the 3 series
4-series is wider than a 3-series by about 2 inches and also driver is lower to the ground in the 4-series. Pretty sure about this.
How does the ride and handling between the two compare? Which is more comfortable and silent on the road?
Identical. That microscopic difference in weight distribution isn't enough to make a serious difference for daily driving. If anything the 4 GC might have a higher interior cabin noise since the windows don't close quite as flush as you'd get with the sedan's traditional framed windows.
Tbh its because of the lights i can the tell difference, i dont think it similar, also by the front grille
Fair enough!
Hard to go wrong with the 4 series, that’s for sure.
Glad to help!
The thing is that the 4 series looks better . I owned two 3 series and now I drive the 4 , I remember back in 2014 when I first saw it , I fell in love and ended up trading the 328 for the 430 I...too sexy imo
Glad to hear it!
4 series look so much nicer, but dont like the blue. In my opinion the 4 series looks best in silver or grey...👌🏻 so much classier than the 3 series
Also great review, thanks
Glad you liked the video, thanks!
Couldn't wait to see this one. Thanks Nile
Glad to hear it! We've been wanting to make this video for a long time now.
I thought there will be a race at the of the video.
That would be nice, but nontheless good introduce about the cars
Hard to do a race when the same guy filming these episodes is also the one driving the cars. But maybe one day!
Getting the grand coupe, cause I love my E92 328i but always with family & friends, getting in & out the car is a tad annoying lol
Enjoy it!
To be honest I'd rather have a F31 over the pair of them, far more practical and seems a little more upmarket.
Can't beat a wagon!
But loses it's sexiness.
Design-wise, I prefer how the hofmeister kink flows into the rear doors on the 3, it's perfect to me.
Do you still like the look of the new G20 3 Series?
PRN_TestDrive Overall, I do, but I have minor quibbles like anyone else.
I dislike that the size keeps growing since the 3 is now the size of older 5’s without anything smaller to properly take its place, but they have kept the overall proportions the same.
I don’t like the changes to the side body crease lines, they don’t seem to flow as well.
I think the more geometric look is OK, but it lacks the elegance you find in the curves of the E46’s and E90’s.
Nothing will beat the classic cars, the E46 to me is 3 Series perfection.
I don’t understand 1 thing why the 4 series is with those headlights.if im correct the lci starts frim 2017 and it has the new bmw angel eyes that are not full circles ?
Sometimes BMW updates vehicles a year later than similar models, or versions sold in other markets can be updated before others.
What is the deal witch 3 series gt if we have 4 series gc???
💰💰
@@PRNTestDrive hahah exactly. But the funny thing is that Im looking at a 330i gt. I need some trunk space and the 4 coupe seems to small
Can't get a manual in the Gran Coupe, so it'll be the 3 Series for me for sure.
BMW barely offers manuals for the North American market anymore, I don't think we'll see it offered at all on the next gen 3/4 Series.
We'd take the 3 Series also, just makes more sense for us.
oh man, how can you get Bored with BMW 4 series exterior??? it's seems like man loses his feelings with beauty..
Yup. I bought a 2018 f30 msport and i love it. I wouldve regretted buyin a stock 4series.
I'm very blind, yes.
Great video!
Also a question:
I want to buy a new car and cant choose between these to cars.
You'd probably be better off with the newer one if you can get an extended warranty on it.
Can't go wrong with that, enjoy it!
If u dont fit, cant blame the car
k
Thanks mate it’s really hard to tell the difference especially with BMW going with numbers for their cars
Agreed! I always thought they were the same with tiny changes here and there, in fact I hadn't really bothered looking into the 4GC before this, I had no idea it had the frameless windows or fastback trunk!
Very helpful
Glad you think so!
F30 The Best POWER 🔥🔥
I bought the F36 4 Gran Coupe just because it looks better In my opinion , got M performance parts fitted with 20 inch Rotiform wheels and its looking so mean. Glad I bought it instead of the F32
Glad to hear it!
Does it put a smile in your face when you floor it?
for a big guy like you, I think 7 series will be perfect
That’s why I own one.
@@PRNTestDrive sweet!
Lol I suppose 😁
i think the way you title your videos will make it hard for people to find and to get more views
How so? A lot of the channels I get in my recommended feed don’t even put the model of the car in the title anymore.
Superb comparison! Looking for info and found all i need in this vid. 435D xdrive stage 2 is the best allround daily
Glad you liked it, thanks!
But great video nonetheless!
I'm sure BMW owners aren't above shopping at Dollarama, once you can afford the Rolls Royce you can be snobby about shopping at places like that.
@@PRNTestDrive One of reasons I can afford my BMW's is the fact that I do shop at Dollar stores. :)
What about the GranTurismos?
yea the 3, 5, 7 series without Ms in front of them are pretty bland looking
Great review, like the snow background , we in the UK England don't get snow anymore
I wish we didn't get as much snow, now that I've moved I'm hoping for a whole lot less of it.
The seats don't compare. the 4 series has fantastic cockpit seats. the 3 has flat uncomfortable seats. they are leagues apart when it comes to this.
Fair enough!
@@PRNTestDrive This isn't an argument brothers! personally im in the market and seat comfort is soooooo important. to me its not a detail but a fundamental part of the drive experience.. God bless and good job!
Nice vid brotha!
Glad you liked it, thanks!
The sports trans doesnt come as part of the sport package?
Which is sportier the 4 series coupe or the 4 series GC?
it's as if all of them are just adding models just for the heck of it. now there's supposed to be an 8 series gran coupe as well?? give me a break with the even numbered bubbly sedans. the 6GC is nice and that's enough
It wouldn't surprise us if the 8 Series ends up getting a GC also. We see way more 6er GCs here in Canada than the 6 Series Coupé, and the M850i cabrio is getting it's Canadian debut at the Montreal Auto Show next month.
I think the 6 series is ugly. That rear window is too stretched and big compared to the 4 series gc
In Europe, they sell more wagons. I guess in the US, this is our compromise?
They do sell the 3 Series wagon here, but nowhere near as much as they do in Europe.
@@PRNTestDrive one day the US market will realize that the wagons are a better choice than suv/cuv
very good and informative review, exactly what i was looking for, thank you
Glad you liked it, thanks!
U r too big mate, u need 5 series or 6 series.
I'd so 4S GC even if the price diff was more.
Hi nice review. What is your height?
I'm 6 ft/183cm. Hope that helps!
@@PRNTestDrive yes, thank you. I am 176cm. Shall I have issues with touching a roof in 4, what do you think? Front seats and rear?
Very great review..looking forward to the 2019 330i and they said they added more space to the new 3 series which is good.
We're hoping to get it featured soon! The 2019 M340i will be at the Montreal auto show, hopefully they'll add it to the press fleet in the spring.
Thank you Toyota
It was very detailed review thanks , I owned 2014 328 F30 now I'm driving F36 428 , basically if you are not car guy they look same , but only the hood is common part for both , also interior quality is way better in 4 series . Mileage was better in 3 series because of less weight . The only real advantage for F30 is acceleration , 3 series was damn quick .
Glad you liked it, enjoy yours!
4 serie looks more sport..more agressive...much better! And obviously the 4 serie is not for big mens like you! For you they have 5 or 7!
The few differences? Not a single exterior part is shared between these two, nor a single line drawn is shared.
@@Brian-jv8iy The hood/bonnet is the same between the F30, 31, 32, 35, 36, but that's about it!
F30 ☑️🔥
Excellent review. Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The definition of premium cars is framless doors, not the brand.
Fair enough
I’m a bmw guy and I had no idea what the difference is between these two vehicles.
It's the reason I wanted to make this episode happen, ever since the 4 Series Gran Coupé was announced I wanted to know what made a 4 door version of the 2 door version different from the 4 door version it's based off of.
PRN_TestDrive Yes well thank you for taking the time to put it together
very detailed and specific, thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Much love to you, but for normal sized people, it's perfect. xDDDD
6 feet is normal I'd say :D
@@Tydides64 Im 6' and its definitely not the average/normal height lol
@@TheyCallMeZuiuZ I'm 6 too, I feel like it's normal :)
If only there was a m4 gran coupe that would be so sick
I'm surprised BMW hasn't done it yet, considering they sell the M8 GC. Might be a future car they'll introduce.
@@PRNTestDrive they have the M440i now
I'm not sure how you feel the front seat room in the 4-series is lacking.
Everyone's different 🤷🏻♂️
@@PRNTestDrive I agree, but that's a pretty big difference in height and experience? You must have an abnormally long torso and like to control the pedals with your tippy toes? lol
I have a 2020 GC. I thought I was much too practical to fall for a car based on looks. I was so wrong . . .
I hear ya!
4 series is lower by almost an inch as well
Tie between the Alpina Z4 and the 850 from the 90s as the sexiest all time BMW
Can't go wrong with either! We did do a video on the 850i.
