- I jumped in a May 1st MLF BFL on Kentucky Lake and the fish were in all stages of the spawn during this spring event. I drew local stick Stephen Barga and we had a great day on the water! Great video been there when the other guys catching fish and you are not it can be tough but you persevered through it with the willingness to make adjustments and changes
Well said Larry. You just have to wait for an opportunity to open up and do your best to not let them jump off.
There is so much to learn tournament fishing, little subtilties in presentation, rod selection, line choice, lure choice, and knowing just one fish landed or lost can make all the difference. Steven sure had a day, but it did look like fun for all.
Ya RWA, there's lots to think about. Some days it just happens other days small adjustments are key.

Congrats to the boater, emphasize the fact that it’s the fisherman and not the equipment. Everyone is so caught up with keeping up with the Jones they’re eyeballs deep with a 100K boat and 30K in gadgets because they think that’s what it takes to compete.
Agree. All the gadgets are just tools. You have to know where to find the fish first.

@@TheTinHorseMonty we did really good Wednesday and Thursday in the rain. Caught quite a few largemouth. Slowed down a lot for Friday and Saturday but we also tried to catch some crappie and red ear. We were there on a family trip
For someone who has never been to Kentucky lake, what areas of the lake hold the most gravel like you were throwing the Carolina rig on? Is that mid lake, north or south? Not looking for your spots, just some insight. Nice video!
The East side of the lake between Moores Resort and Paris has plenty of pea gravel. Kind of North
