And the shapes it took... instead of just circular purple effect that some attack is infused with electro elemental dmg like Keqing's electro infused attack, her sword effect is straight line and a little curve here and there.. much like how lightning is...
Yeah, reminiscent of how lightning is depicted as a symbol. But you could also argue that instead of one arc, she could actually be making two movements in one strike, reminiscent with how katanas are wielded in kendo where one motion can sometimes be disguised with another extra move in a follow thorugh. Like in 1:49, 1st slash is from sheath, then 2nd slash is from 1st slash and back to sheath again. But, of course, this is all just speculation.

The polearm blink is also interesting since we can't see her but we can guess the path of her weapon movements. It's like Mihoyo studied the Budo Samurai Arts then made it extremely faster with the Raiden Shogun. Her first sword attack is litteraly too fast even in slow motion : she draws her sword and put it back right after. Thx again for the video ^^
the story quest of her is unfortunately shallow, but you can't deny baal is probably the most consistently elegant and absolutely ruthless in her attack stance, i know zhongli will literally summon a meteor but for me personally just knowing a person is powerful enough to trap inside their own time and space continum( mussou isshin) marks a point that she shall not be taken lightly

I kinda notice that the animation of her normal atk inside and outside her burst is the same.Only the effects changes from normal slashes to opening a jagged rift on her attacks
Nice clips! I just wish it was possible to slow it down that much without the interpolated frames making it a bit wonky. Wont be possible until genshin allows for higher framerate on PC tho. As of now, the slowest i can go on my clips is 40% speed bc im not rlly a fan of the artifacting you get with interpolated video 🙃.

apparently all of the swords and polearms fighting styles and forging process of said swords and polearms is a derivative of raiden shogun's (Ei) own technique, as said in About Us: Legacy (Unlocks at Friendship Lv. 6) "The Inazuman arts of polearm and sword combat, as well as the blade-forging process itself, primarily originated with me. Since then, they have branched out and blossomed into a variety of techniques according to each master's individual aptitude."

But I find it ironic that the Archon who openly admitted to us that she chose to severe her ties with Celestia, has the most celestial motif (she's slashing space itsel lol, can't get more celestial than that) on their kit motif While the upcoming dendro archon is uhmm... earthly? Like her kit motif is the closest to earth (if that makes sense)
Honestly, I'd rather have her connected to Abyss Order because of her animations. Especially in recent Dainsleif Archons Quest. Her attack animations mostly about the shape sword cutting spaces, unlike how Thunder attacking (the ones who has animations close to thunder-like is Fischl). Also, in her burst and elemental skill, we can see she's cutting space and the space itself looks like those of Abyss places, not Celestia. I know it's because it's based on Inazuma with its Samurai things and sword art. But, I think if it's as what I expected, then the more better if someday we have Ei playable separated from Raiden Shogun. The more story unfold. We already have Sus-Venti, despite us finishing his story and Archon's quest, he is still mentioned in every place possible, like in Golden Archipelago, in the Chasm, etc. Zhongli, being retired as he is, still mentioned in every Latern Rite as possible and the more story unfold. But, Ei's story is finished on her 2nd story quests. And mostly, the events happened up till now, if it was not favoring "The Old Electro Archon", then it'd rather involved yae in every way possible. So, if Ei could be playable on her own, maybe we finally able to see the real Electro Archon's animations. In that sense, she could be catalyst user. I kind of disappointed in her animations, though. Despite having cool and beautiful animations, it seems to have less connection with electricity of Thunder itself.
