i completely agree with you and can see two possibilities:
    1) humans evolved alongside dragons, but never claimed to be rulers
    2) khaen'rians are dragon heirs (vishaps maybe?), dragons could morph into everything

Two very reasonable possibilities, I'm leaning toward number 2, personally. Enjou did tell us about vishap people which were never mentioned again. Vishaps have a remarkable adaptation capability, who is to say did didn't take on a humanoid form over time, perhaps to better blend in with the humans?

i always suspected that the dragons had civilizations of their own, a single, unified one. When I was exploring Enkanomiya, I had a hunch that the former Hydro Sovereign wasn't at all a scary, violent being of the depths for... Some odd reasons (mainly, inconsistency in the narration) and I deduced that he stayed around with the survivors alongside Istaroth on his own volition (probably interested in these odd little aliens, since it's pretty canon this dragon had a heart of gold and was a nurturing, loving creature since he was the original god of life) and I guess that it was at that time he was slayed. Probably being already very wounded from the ordeals above.
But my whole point is: I THINK the khaeri'ans are actually dragon-related. Can't really explain why this is each time an stronger opinion, but until proven wrong, I'll go with it. And Natlan confirms that they WERE ORGANIZED AS A CIVILIZATION so I wonder if in the "evolution" process of thing, they did not evolve into human-like forms? I mean, Neuvillette is said to have EVOLVED into the shape he has now... Sooo... It that GARGANTUAN trillobite evolved in... Let's say, an annoying little onikabuto, maybe that's what the fallen dragons evolved to?
Tbh, Apep's fungus were already starting to talk and they become more "complex" as they evolve. Who can't say they wouldn't become a plantsim (sorry the joke) in due time if Apep didin't dislike humans so damn much?

And probably as soon as she went pool splash, he showed up in Erennies (I think it was there).

Interesting video! Personally, I think it's the other way around - the "pure-blooded" Khaenri'ahns are the descendants of the humans that came with Phanes/were created by them, and the ones that turned into Hilichurls are native to Teyvat.
For the longest time, I've had this idea that the Curse of the Wilderness is not a curse at all. Rather, it's just the people of Khaenri'ah returning to their original forms - not unlike Fontainians becoming Oceanids again. The Abyss Order didn't turn into Hilichurls, Mages and Lecters - they just reverted back from being turned into humans, though none of them know the truth, so they think they've been cursed. This falls in line with the Abyss and Hilichurls having apparently existed in Teyvat way before the Cataclysm, and possibly even before the Primordial One. It also explains several of the "demi-human" species of Teyvat like the Hakushin and the Tighnarians. So in a way, Celestia did create humans... by basically making the species of Teyvat into humans, in the same way that they supposedly terraformed Teyvat to make it inhabitable by humanity.
Also, it never made much sense to me that Celestia punished Orobashi and the people of Enkanomiya for finding Before Sun and Moon. if anything, the book makes Celestia and Phanes look good, like defenders of humanity against the Sovereigns and the Abyss. So why would they try to hide that information? Well, because the writing on the "Ark's Opening" era has information that could lead to what I said above. One thing of note is that the terms "our ancestors" and "the people of the Seven Sovereigns" are used a few times instead of simply saying "humans", which leads me to think this could be a deliberate distinction.
Finally, here's some text from In Light, Beneath the Shadow, another book from the collection of Enkanomiya:
"With only one mouth, this being sometimes has four feet, sometimes, two feet, and sometimes, three feet. Though unable to morph into other things, it is able to walk on the earth, swim in the water, and fly in the sky. The more feet it walks on, the feebler it grows. What is this being? Answer: A human."
That part about morphing... that's kinda weird. It could be just a way to lead into the rest of the riddle, but the implication there would be that morphing (not evolving) into different things is the norm for lifeforms in Teyvat, and that only humans can't do it. But if so, could other things turn into humans? Well, after Fontaine... we know the answer is yes.

So for all we know, maybe the Primordial One did lose the war and the one up in Celestia right now is actually the Second Descender.

@@strigsgamingcafe It's just that, since the Divine Nails fell, the heavens and the world itself, were not like in the times before it. The author of "Before Sun and Moon" could not see it (it was written back in time of Phaetons), but we do.
So it's either Primordial One suffering abyssal corruption and self-isolating, or the position being replaced by someone else.

I feel this is the case. Something tells me Teyvat isn’t just made up, but literally one big storybook of a God who can’t remember who they are. I want to say Paimon is connected to the Twins via 2 options, their creator (Primordial One) or their collective power (twins are the Primordial One’s children). I feel like the twins being the first humans of Teyvat make more sense, it explains their abilities, and the fact they were told they’re not from this world originally was to confuse them; at some point they were compromised by Celestia and likely were forced to leave. I think Alice being the storybook witch guide adds credence to my view, every year Alice comes up with a new way to explain information, I assume they cannot be told directly because Celestia, but Alice (also not from this world), manages to make a playable quest that explains in a way the exact information she wants us to know. Add in the fact we connect to domains via a terminal, and have these checkpoints…it’s all connected via the world tree, but how is that were the only ones that see these checkpoints and use them? All these anomalies point to the twins being the original rulers, and the character cards indeed provide proof. I wouldn’t be surprised if the twins actually created this world with the help of the dragons, but their memories are suppressed too. Notice how Zhongli’s archon statue item is called “stone of remembrance”, our traveler still doesn’t have their full memories; I think the archons have memories that are being suppressed by Celestia too. This also explains why the archons tell us information in pieces, they know more than they tell us.

    • @unturned6066
      @unturned6066 Місяць тому +8

At least for Zhongli, it seems like he's under contract not to tell us. And the rest are similar - which is also why they have to engineer situations to get rid of the gnosis. Zhongli by contract. Venti by pretending to be weak, and letting Signora choose to take it. Ei is likely not under contract, since she just took over u officially after her sister died, in pocket dimension (Does Celestia even know that the original electro archon is dead?) Which is why Ei could tell us that she doesn't control the visions granted, nd why she knew little. Nahida has lost her memories, and therefore likely the contract. Focalors sneakily put a memory-less copy on the throne to fool Celestia. The Natlan Archon is also human and too short lived to remember any contract.

The single civilization before the gods arrived is now known to be that of the Dragons.
I doubt, humans existed during the time of the Dragons' reign.
It's possible the Khaer'ahns were the 1st created humans of the shades, but overtime, sin began to multiple, creatures wanted to become human, whether through cross reproduction, self evolution, or self modifications etc.
That caused the humans true blood to dilute into the humans of today.
Another possibility and one i believe more, is the Dragons that ruled before Phanes came, were the original creators of humans, that's why Khaeri'ahns have serpent like pupils.
When Phanes came and overthrown the Dragons civilization, it also throw the dragon humans into the ocean (the fogotten realm). That's why Khaenri'ah had no access to the sky they once knew their whole life, Celestia covered up all the evidence and now pretend to be the first to create humans in their image.
The current generation of Khaenr'ahns have lost most of their history except for the few rumours that survived.

As for as I remember, the mono civilization worship the gods and had priest that communicated with the heavenly envoys. That goes against khaenr'ah's culture.

The people of Natlan being unable to leave the city or have bad things happen to them because they would be outside of the protection of the archon or whatever sounds a lot like the cataclysm pushing half-blooded or immigrant khaenri'ahn's into teyvet and out of whatever 'protection' they had from the curse (maybe related to leylines) caused them to turn into hilichurls. A lot of people think the purple crystal is the soul of the dragon king or whatever and like other descenders (such as our traveler) have the power to cleanse the abyss and thus was keeping people safe from abyssal corruption in Khaenri''ah, but was also corrupted by the abyss and used its powers to corrupt the minds/soul of khaenriahns and maybe the shadow material world was being swapped out for the realm of the night in the khaenri'ah to try and ressurect the dragon king but in turn brought all the corruption from the realm of night into khaenri'ah and thus pushed everyone either into the realm of night to be corrupted OR pushed them into teyvet where if they were half blooded or immigrated would turn into hilichurls. Also its worth noting that Dragons are from a place of pure elemental like the light realm and we found out in natlan that pure elemental power negates/purifies abyssal power. It's possible all pure blood Khaenri'ahns have this purifying ability to an extent with descenders having the most elemental compatibility or ability to manipulate multiple elements. It's possible that our travelers are indeed dragon descendants or have some form of dragon blood in them. Its also possible that Descenders are different in the sense that they can manipulate both light and dark energy making them fit to maintain the balance of teyvet and the material world and the leyline world (as we see that the 'darker' energy seems to connect with the subconcious, leylines, memories and such and needs to be cleansed in the physical world as it creates phyiscal 'filth' and 'mud' like seen in the chasm and around the sakura tree).

Heeeey~ good to see Blue cooking again.
In this contex, i think that at least Khaenri'ahns, Fontainians, and Natlantians (plus traveler duo) are native.
The longshot im aiming for is that human and vishap were both memory-hijacked by Irminsul back in the day. That human and dragon was all part of the natural order of the world, and celestial didnt do squat except set themselves up as a cheap imitation of what the dragons were

@@Kyuubi13s If Natlantians are part dragon, then they would have native ancestors. Though I suppose this is where "native" gets kind of blurry, since usually people determine indigenousness based on whether a *culture* is indigenous, not whether a bloodline or ancestry is. (Or more accurately, whether an ethnicity/people is indigenous, and ethnicity is determined primarily by culture but also includes things like ancestry, language, and religion.)
The thing about Natlantians is that they represent a fusion culture of indigenous dragon culture and imperial celestial culture, having both the wayobs and an archon. I think that's enough to qualify their culture as indigenous though - any culture can be influenced by outside sources, and that doesn't mean that it is no longer itself. It's only when a person completely rejects their culture and identifies as entirely within another that they are considered to no longer be part of that original culture.

    • @Kyuubi13s
      @Kyuubi13s Місяць тому +5

@@normal6483 The problem is, in Teyvat indigenousness can have really big impact. F.e., if person from Natlan migrated to Khanria'an, would they be later cursed with immortality, or curse of wilderness? If theory that Khanrians can't be hilichurled because they are native teyvatians holds true, then other native people also shouldn't be affected (ofc if the part about hilichurlification being for people that rejected their archons is to be taken literally then it wouldn't matter either way). Not even mentioning what would have happened to an only part native human.
A Fountanian before act V even if they 'completely rejects their culture and identifies as entirely within another' would still be dissolved.
I think that to current celestia, whether native humans indentified as 'of Primodial One' or whether those humans are even aware that they aren't created by/pure line of PO creations, it wouldn't matter. Celestia still wouldn't give them all privileges of 'their own', just like what they did to fontanians. And even more so if Natlantians were to be part dragon, aka their OG enemy.

There is actually proof in Before Sun and Moon that humans or humanoids existed before the PO, quoting "Forty Years After the Held Branches" chapter of the book: "The Seven Sovereins were vanquished, and the seven nations submitted to the heavens". The last part of this sentence and the recent Natlan lore about pre-PO era, we can say that there actually was a civilisation, even an advanced one, showing us that it has existed for a long time before it was destoyed by PO. And with this, we can assume that this civilisation found a place on Teyvat, that was later named Khaenri'ah, to escape PO and all this alien invasion, taking all the knowledge that they had to construct all that machinery that we can see all over Teyvat now. @kotarouinugami1745 I see where you are coming from, but I think we shouldn't underestimate how much the archons know. Zhongli is under a contract to prevent him from sharing what he knows, from the manga we know that Venti personally knows the celestial gods and is terrified of them, Ei knows about Istaroth, Nahida, despite having been born post cataclysm, is aware that the PO is slumbering and Focalors knew them well enough to know how to trick them for 500 years. Given that the Tsaritsa turned on Celestia post cataclysm, I think it's safe to assume she learned something very important during that time. It wouldn't be far-fetched for her to have learned about the nature of the curses, since that was a big part of the cataclysm.
As for the Fontainians, they were never really cursed as much as marred by sin, and the prophecy very much held true, the only reason they didn't get dissolved was because of Focalors' plan and Neuvilette granting them real blood. That is not to say that Pierro can't be wrong on this! He very much can, but for now I'm willing to believe him, he was the voice of reason even during his time in Khaenri'ah and is cursed himself, he is probably our most trust worthy source on this. Nahida has 8000 years of memories (assuming she used various tricks to relearn the information she lost from the two times she shrunk). Forgetting about this is a bad habit indeed. For all we know under the new set of memories Zhongli never signed any contract for example. Certainly Ganyu would not claim Nahida was only 500 were she to be asked again. All this stuff ought to make a huge difference even if you don't believe that the past changed in reality and not merely seeming to. Although frankly Bedtime story more or less confirmed that the past changed when it straight up confirmed that a finished Loom of Fate (which is basically an Irminsul) cannot change memories, and even an unfinished one couldn't have edited memories so seamlessly.

@@davidjohnson8273 Nahida can relearn information (even without removing Rukkadevata), but she shares the blind spots of Irminsul as a whole, as well as everything that was too corrupted by Forbidden Knowledge to recover.
Her talk with Dottore illustrates the problem very well.
