Oh my God! Finally someone knows how to teach me and you can teach me you have accomplished teaching others! I have watched so many UA-cam channels and I can't see what they're doing they do it so fast I don't know how to tie a barrel swivel I keep losing my rigs commercial rigs ~ I couldn't figure out how they were tying it was like they were all magical magicians with fast hands! You explained it so well! You took your time I was able to see what you were doing! I would have given you 10 Stars, but you deserve the maximum 20 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thank You so very much BIG GUY! Search knot videos everyday and enjoy each and everyone however, I have a disease from heart attack leaving me with slight memory damage from lack of oxygen. As a former training instructor I say, "Your demonstrations are well done and may draw interest from all passers by even." I can learn and retain enough to figure out what I forget so easily. Fished all my life . With your Help all may advance towards better fishing with the environment in mind also. Thanks SIR. Frank.

I have saved this video in order to refresh my memory. It is one of the best I have ever seen as far as inshore rigging. I am new to surf fishing and I have used the pre-made rigs....I have never caught anything. As I have stated, I am new to the game, but I am going to make up several rigs and store them for future use. Thanks for taking the time to school us.

This is such a great video! I am definitely adding some of these tips to my bag. If im at home I like to set my rigs up with t-knots, they seem to hold off the line best. Check it out @paulmaguire to see if it suits you. ua-cam.com/video/xUolGMY-rrI/v-deo.html *disclaimer video is where i learned to tie it. Not mine, only posting to help fellow anglers.

Just wanted to say thank you for this amazing video. Went on a last minute fishing trip yesterday with some friends. Trying to save time I bought some a rig from the store. Ended up costing me more time since it broke 2nd cast in. Remembered your video and tied on a drop shot rig. Should’ve just done it from the start. Will be sharing this video to all my fishing buddies.

Going saltwater fishing for the first time in a few weeks. After watching this, I really appreciate it so I can save some money instead of buying the prebuilt rigs. I also trout fish in lakes and streams locally when theyre stocked. The last rig you tied gave me a great idea for catching trout freshwater trout. Instead of a jighead on the bottom, a small dropshot weight, and then the dropper loop with my bait to keep it away from the line, should give me a good opportunity to catch some trout when they're suspended in deeper pools or when fishing lakes. Thanks for sharing!

I tied my own hI lo rigs this weekend after losing 2 to rocks at 4$ each
The ones I tied worked just as good as the ones from the bait shop
All I used was some old 50 lb mono
No beads , no swivels = 6 scup in an hour and only lost 1 cause of rocks
The Carolina rig is my pick for stripers and bluefish don't really need the bead but it makes it work a lot better
    Great video

Great information and tutorial on how to tie the rigs. I don’t get to do as much saltwater fishing as I’d like. But I use some of these for catfishing and bassfishing also.

Excellent ! From viewer in UK. Love to hear you guys still using Pounds !!
Instead of kilos. Can you imagine - 10 kilo breaking strain ? Doesn't sound
right ! Also , using Pounds really annoys the French !! An added bonus ..

Thank you the video was great very informative, so what type of bate do I use for different type of fish is there a guide that tells you what kind of bait to use

    • @DinsmoreOutdoors
      @DinsmoreOutdoors  5 років тому

Your welcome, if you are going after saltwater fish you can not go wrong with fresh shrimp everything eats it. If you want larger predatory fish you can use some kind of live bait fish like mullet

I'm not an idiot but I'm just not "wired" to learn and remember (useful) knots and rigs...…..until today. You have a gift for being succinct and logical. I'm grateful. Thank you. Now...…if I can only do this in a side swell while drinking beer in the wind with my arthritis and trifocals!!

I've always felt that LOOP knots are weaker, so I'll bump up the pound test of the line just a bit to compensate for that.

Excellent, this was a proper video. I make my own rigs as well, and even tho I know these setups this video was/is so fun to watch also enjoyable. Very very good demonstration and line color usage (most knot and rig how to vids always use line you can't see lol)
