Wow really a favorite of mine. I've been playing bass pretty much since I was 9 years and I'm 58 now. I picked up most of JPJ LINES. Six years ago I decided I would give the guitar ( both acoustic and electric) a go. It hasn't been easy but perseverance and awesome teaching lessons such as these makes it so much fun. As a very late convert to Led Zep I'm discovering new songs all the time and the groove to the Wanton Song blew me away . I don't like singling anyone out in the band because as individuals they shine on different songs but...Bonzo what a drummer 😮

I'm one of those taught players, everything I know is basically a repeat of what I've been taught. I don't have any natural talent. I am always impresseed with players like yourself who can figure things out from listening and watching someone play in a video of a live concert. Not only are you good at that, you're one of the best teachers I've encountered and my list of songs that I can play has greatly increased thanks to you.

This video might get the job done! I said might, because you just can't copy what is demonstrated, it still takes practice.

Some of the best Zeppelin content currently on UA-cam. To my taste, the one bit lacking would be the bit where you explain things in terms of diatonic harmony as you go through the song. The wee bit of icing that would make an already delicious morsel even more savory. Sorry for the crumby metaphor.

Love watching your videos. I am a total Led Zeppelin nut. I love how they can play A subtle song and throw a Bitchin solo in it. Like in the song I’m gonna crawl. Do you think you could cover that one because there aren’t any good ones on UA-cam.
    Thanks Scott

@@SpedSpedding there was couple things. On the main riff I didn’t know each note was played twice. I always thought the first 2 were only played nice. AND the F to F#. I always just used power chords. Sounds so right when I heard you play it. Thanks again. You have a great talent. Thanks for sharing with us mere mortals

Here's my big, fat comment. This is one of my all time fave Zep tunes. Like so many of Jimmy things, it's not complex, it's just hard to play it with his swagger. Anyway, well done. I know I'm two years late with this, but I guess it's better than being ten years gone, BWAAHAHAHAAA! Seriously though, you rock. I tell everyone about this great guy who gives great lessons. If you ever do a lesson on the solo to For your Life, I'll have like 1000 of your children.

It's always good to see you, Sped...another great video! I'm running out of adjectives to praise you, though, Brother...great, amazing, awesome, etc. are not cutting it anymore. Zeppelin and Jimmy are my favorite band and guitarist. And, you, my friend, IMHO,, give the best lessons on this subject on youtube. You've got that "touch"'. A lot of of players teach and play Zeppelin songs, but you have the ear and the technique that imparts the articulation and the true integrity of the way Jimmy played the song. I often wonder if you knew Jimmy intimately and got to hang around him enough to absorb those nuances from him firsthand. Thank you for posting yet another "Awesome" Zeppelin lesson.
