Six years ago I decided I would give the guitar ( both acoustic and electric) a go. It hasn't been easy but perseverance and awesome teaching lessons such as these makes it so much fun. Cracking as always mate, great work and someone that loves zep as much as me. I’m too young to have seen them live but was lucky enough to see Page and Plant on the two tours they did in the 90’s.
Thank you! Ah how cool, I’ve never seen any of them together but I did catch Plant last time he played Manchester Apollo on the Carry Fire tour. ❤️ He was amazing.
@@SpedSpedding the first time was the unleaded tour with the two orchestras with the black crowes as support, the second was just a four piece where they played more of the longer songs, both brilliant in their own way. I always thought that the second chord in the Jazz changes was a Bm7(b5), but you played a Bdim7. I went to the recording, and there it was, you were right, sir! I do believe though, that there is a G on the top of the Fm that begins that section.

Mr. Spedding, Great videos Man! I've had this Sunburst standard 80 Heritage series Les Paul for a really long time. I think it's an 82. Love playing anything Jimmy. If I can stop laughing long enough to give it a go, I'll play along with this video too..
Thank you Timothy. You’re welcome, hearing back from everyone is really cool. All the success stories and light bulb moments; it’s why I do what I do. 🔥
Here's my big, fat comment. This is one of my all time fave Zep tunes. Like so many of Jimmy things, it's not complex, it's just hard to play it with his swagger. Anyway, well done. I know I'm two years late with this, but I guess it's better than being ten years gone, BWAAHAHAHAAA! Seriously though, you rock. I tell everyone about this great guy who gives great lessons. If you ever do a lesson on the solo to For your Life, I'll have like 1000 of your children.
What a cracking riff!! Fab pre-Crimble lesson..... You are SO thorough you are bound to have watched the Page and Plant version on Later... But if you haven't.,do so forthwith young Sped! The riff bouncing around the BBC studio is a wonder to behold! Happy Christmas
It is Mark, so much swagger to it as always. And the middle section/chorus with all the double stops is so cool. I have seen that, I wanted it the other day actually just before this. Jimmy with short hair?
Another great lesson mate! Always loved Physical Graphiti, bought it soon after it came out when I was in 6th form. Brilliant album in a brilliant sleeve.
You are the best guitar teacher. You are a led zeps fan best friend! Wonton song is one of my faves of theirs and couldn't find any good resources for it online. If you did one for heartbreaker and also since I've been loving you my life would be complete. KEEP IT UP you are amazing!!!
Ah Meg, so wonderful. Thanks so much! I’m stoked that you get so much out of my videos, I definitely plan on covering those songs at some point. Until then have a great Christmas. 🎄🙌🏻
It's always good to see you, Sped...another great video! I'm running out of adjectives to praise you, though, Brother...great, amazing, awesome, etc. are not cutting it anymore. Zeppelin and Jimmy are my favorite band and guitarist. And, you, my friend, IMHO,, give the best lessons on this subject on youtube. You've got that "touch"'. A lot of of players teach and play Zeppelin songs, but you have the ear and the technique that imparts the articulation and the true integrity of the way Jimmy played the song. I often wonder if you knew Jimmy intimately and got to hang around him enough to absorb those nuances from him firsthand. Thank you for posting yet another "Awesome" Zeppelin lesson.
Thank you! Those adjectives will do nicely so don’t worry. 🙌🏻 I definitely haven’t had the pleasure of hanging out with the man himself, that would be special. I did drop off a flyer at his house once when I was trying to get some business as a private teacher in London. He never called. 😂😂😂😂😂
Sweet! I use to play this, a little differently, years ago. Your way, much better - shocker. Love the channel. You're the best. Keep rocken the Zeppelin. I need that book!
@@SpedSpedding small things, but playing the muted A string is big for me. I played it string skipping, and I went without playing it for a time it would get sloppy. I am left handed playing right handed. So my right hand has always been my weakness.

Thank you Timothy. You’re welcome, hearing back from everyone is really cool. All the success stories and light bulb moments; it’s why I do what I do. 🔥
Incredible lesson! Just in time for winter break too... I'm definitely spending my break watching your other videos. Thank you for your time man!
Hope you got stuck into them over Christmas. My time is yours. You’re welcome. 🤘🏻
Sped, you dropped the third solo lick lesson segment from the video. Thanks, though! Awesome lesson.
Another great lesson mate! Always loved Physical Graphiti, bought it soon after it came out when I was in 6th form. Brilliant album in a brilliant sleeve.
Yeah it’s a work of art. The window cut outs with optional inserts. The passion for art flows through everything Zep did.
Wow another great lesson Mr Spedding plz continue on your Led Zep trip 🤘🏻
Thank you, and you’re welcome as always. I will continue as long as I can. 💪🏻💪🏻
Always glad to see another up load thanks again 👍
Nice one Gary, enjoy.
As always, masterful. Thanks Sped
This was absolutely perfect’s THANK YOU!!
Nice lighting, the shadow of the cornstalk plant adds nice ambience also colors match your tattoo. Great lesson.
Thank you! Invested in four new lights, including my main one. Really appreciate you taking the time to comment on the production.
The most badass Led Zeppelin song ever!
It is a beaut isn’t it. 💪🏻🔥
Great lesson, love your approach… one of my favorite LZ songs…enjoyed and much appreciated!…
You’re welcome Mario! Glad you liked the lesson.
@@SpedSpedding Lol...well, that's his loss, then!
Sweet! I use to play this, a little differently, years ago. Your way, much better - shocker. Love the channel. You're the best. Keep rocken the Zeppelin. I need that book!
What did you have differently Mike? And thank you, I appreciate you. 🤘🏻
@@SpedSpedding small things, but playing the muted A string is big for me. I played it string skipping, and I went without playing it for a time it would get sloppy. I am left handed playing right handed. So my right hand has always been my weakness.
Very nice video. Love your sound, Thanks. What a riff =)
Thank you very much Mr spedding.
My pleasure.
Fantastic lesson, playing, and tone as always. I’m curious, what’s the name of the book that’s often referenced?
Another classic lesson and one I shall enjoy working through soon. Thank you very much & Happy Christmas Sped the Led. :)
Have fun when you get round to it. It’s a great tune to learn, full of character and awesome licks in the solo too. Have a good one too. 🎄
I really like the tone you use and have.
Thanks so much!
Your Zepp lessons are THE BEST EVAH!!!!
Thank you Peter! Appreciate your support.
Thank you for another fantastic lesson, I greatly appreciated your efforts!
You’re welcome Andrew. Have fun.
Thanks once again. I'm hoping you Give "For Your LIfe" the Sped treatment. It a rare Zep song without a proper lesson.
Thank you. This was done well
15:40 that solo rhythm riff is one of my all time favorite Zeppelin riffs
It's badass isn't it. Nice funky rhythm resolving each time.
Wow bro this is awesome !!!!!!You actually did it thanks brother✌️❤️😊🎶
You sound surprised? 🤘🏻😉
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it. 🎄
